Well we used to use that, but the wheels on the wagon were to much drag, so now we use a 3/4 inch sheet of ply wood with some seat belts, a tow rope we ripped off from the sail plane guys. Well let's see, I can think of a few things better for AFF or S/L students on ripcords. 1. less chance of pin getting pulled/pushed out in the plane or climb'n out. 2. less chance of premature opening due to pin getting pulled due to bridal getting lose & flapping. 3. less chance of of horse shoe around the arm at pull time. 4. can't get handle pushed into a BOC. 5. Better chance of clean opening when tumbleing. 6. Can also be pulled by R-side JM as well 7. Can use same rig for S/L with PC assist 8. packing PC is standardized 9. Cheaper to get then HD's, now that guys like you think SPC's are "un-modern" 10. Don't have to replace BOC's on the student rigs. Those are just a few reasons I would have no problem using spring loaded PC's for AFF or other types of student jumps, we have used them for years and great success doing so. About the only good argument I can think of for not using them is PC hesitation you find with weak springs. Not saying I have a problem using HD PC's for aff, I have used both with good results.

Hey, if you have a group doing the round jumps, PAGE ME. I want to come along and shoot some photos........I will NOT however, be using a round parachute.*** Sure enough, the traditional round jump is Saturday late afternoon depending on winds / weather. Yes I don't advise jumping rounds with a standard heavy set up as I did in 2005, that opening shit hurts the neck and head. Good to jump a large canopy so you can get the under canopy shots though.

47 jumps in two years, sounds like you should spend more time thinking about how to make more jumps at a dz and stay current, instead of how to rent a local plane with your buddy at the control while you fool around with trying to open the door so your fat ass can get out. Even posting such a question shows a lack of good judgement on your part. And I would have to say IMHO you might not be the most efficient editor or are not using the system in the most efficient manner. How long have you been shooting tandem videos and editing them? I have been at now for almost 15 years and this would be the 4th season using only imovie. I would guess I have a few more tricks in my bag of tricks then you do, not to say that makes me a video god like DSE, but I find with imove set up the right way I produce a 10 to 12 min tandem video in about 20 to 30 minutes out the door to the customer and a cd with 80 to 140 stills too. ***90% of people completely overlook perfect music timing*** I would have to disagree here again, in the many years that customers have returned to jump again or bring family/friends to jump, I get many requests to be the video flyer over the other staff, for their friends and family and I get many complements from them, sometimes years later. Seeing that each and every video that walks out the door is a commercial for the DZ, I like to make the best product as we can in a speedy and efficient manner, our customers are very happy with the service provided. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
