  1. Just thought you should see it. That is the complete message. why?
  2. THAT explains everything. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanford_Band#Controversial_actions_by_the_band 377 I thought you would like that. Glad Bruce is TUNED in! Some of the best days of my life! Don't let the antics under-estimate the muscianship. The bands have always had 'tight rules'! It's not a bunch of crazy people .... far from it.
  3. Very nice vids ... thanks! It takes good people.
  4. THAT explains everything. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanford_Band#Controversial_actions_by_the_band 377 YIKES! That band is wild!!! A bunch of great people _ superb musicians etc. Lots of fun.
  5. When did you attend UC Berkeley G? That dialogue is from around 1968. 377 USC - Stanford Was in that Stanford marching band!
  6. As I recall, the Ramparts Magazine article picture of Ted Braden showed blue or blue-green eyes, not brown. Brown contacts might have been used by Cooper but there is no evidence that this occurred. Braden's history is fascinating. How the hell did he duck prosecution for desertion and get reinstated (and possibly even promoted) like it never happened? What card was he holding that caused intervention on his behalf by General John Singlaub? Braden took careless risks in Vietnam and was criticized by his colleagues for unnecessarily putting them and the missions in danger. This trait could fit Cooper. Braden also apparently knew how to travel internationally with fake ID. The SOG guys who served with him have their reasons for suspecting Braden. It might be something intangible. They might see a signature, something about the crime that has Braden's particular touch. Braden is dead now. Ended up as a truck driver. His last occupation has always struck me as odd given his background and apparent thirst for living on the edge. Maybe he was hauling contraband. 377 Cooper's eyes were seen by Florence for a few seconds when he looked over the top of his glasses. This is what I have heard before, here in the forum and in articles. It also has been discussed in this forum that Cooper may have had amphetamines on his person. Unfortunately, I do not have a source for these last two statements, but here is what I have always wondered. Eyes dilate for many different reasons. Alcohol and drug use (included prescriptions), mental strain, anxiety and stress, low lighting (behind sunglasses, low light in the cabin), etc. His eyes could have been dilated for these reasons alone, making any eye color seem dark, black or brown. Should a suspect who matches other physical characteristics, such as; approximate age, height, weight, hair color and style of Cooper be dismissed alone on his eye color? The FBI wanted poster states his eyes were "possibly brown" (attached). Resources explaining eye dilation: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=eye-opener-why-do-pupils-dialate http://www.calmclinic.com/anxiety/symptoms/pupil There is a statement in Tosaw's book to the effect that Cooper told Tina he had some pills that would keep the flight crew awake in the event they got sleepy. I don't have a page number for that statement but it was during the time they were on the ground in Seattle if I remember correctly. Robert99 Which might be interesting in light of the fact 'the crew' might have had 'their own pharmacy' on board! Did Cooper seriously think any of the crew were going to take 'his pills', whatever they were? Cooper seems a little naive and obtuse on this point, he brought up so willing. If Tina had been a little smarter she could have taken one of his pills and saved it ... to determine its composition and possible origin. I would have asked the guy: 'what else have you got? Any Tijuana Gold'? Drinks, smokes, take drugs. Is gay! Rides 4 Clydesdales abreast. The "pills" story is curious if it is true. MAC SOG jumpers reportedly carried amphetamine type pills (Benzadrine) to ward off fatigue and stay awake. The pills story doesnt make a lot of sense. Cooper was, in my opinion, planning a quick exit once airborne, long before crew fatigue would have become a problem. He wasn't planning a multi leg trip to Cuba. He might have needed a Bennie boost to make his egress from the landing area before sunrise. 377 I agree completely. It's a little obtuse. Maybe he was just nervous and making idle remarks. 'I have hair on my arm'! Smokes, drinks, a few bennies ... 'wanna see a picture of Mom?'
  7. Robert, I'm sorry. This just sounds bad. It's like watching Ron Ziegler or other press spokesman claiming he can't answer questions because of some contrived policy. If someone else made a statement like that on here, you'd be all over them, and rightfully so. All you're doing is creating the impression in others that you don't really want the facts on Kenny to come out. As I said, some mistakes were made on this little KC journey. But not necessarily ones that either prove or disprove his suspect status. There were errors. So until we get it all straightened out, and come to a fully accurate picture on everything we can, I just don't wish to release anything else we may have discovered. Come on...none of you believe he was the guy anyway, so what is the big deal? You all wrote him off long ago, correct? why?

  9. Soil sample would tell the story. Recall it was lack of soil samples at Tina Bar that plagued that study. Green eggs and ham. http://www.washington.edu/news/2014/01/15/dna-detectives-able-to-count-thousands-of-fish-using-as-little-as-a-glass-of-water/
  10. To those folks who think the date of manufacture is Feb 46, are there words such as "Date of Manufacture", or abbreviations to that effect, within an inch or two of the Feb 46? If not, then where do you get the idea that "Feb 46" even applies to a calendar date? 11. Elect Mao tse-Tung in 1964! When you get there! Say hellow to Tom and Betty Grable. You are definitely afraid of something. I just haven't figured out yet what it is. If you were any kind of sensible, and really interested in the truth on anything, you would fully support the idea of Kaye and his CS team being allowed to examine the chute for themselves, and bring in outside experts of their own. What is it you are afraid of? It's late, but I will look at your answer tomorrow. Why should I care about that? So you can add more garbage-mouth stuff? No worries. I really DO have to go now. It's after midnight here. 14. +727 hooray! mosal tov! The myopia of people trying to connect dots making wholesale assumptions at every step ... has made it abundantly clear that so-called /commentators/ haven't the faintest clue who and what was involved, not only in the acquiring of chutes for Cooper, but in other aspects of the Cooper case also, up to and including the Amboy chute. For one, Mr. Blevins kept crying about 'silk deteriorates' when in fact the FBI said very early the Amboy chute was 'deteriorated! Blevins chose to ignore that completely in favor of building his attention-seeking jihad. Once McChord has chosen not to provide chutes, after it initially had said it would, this situation was going to get 'messy' with a lot of people and 'situations' involved, with a number of different accounts and reports being filed. The backstory reported later then becomes even bigger and even messier, especially when fueled by territorial concerns of chute owners/packers, multiple FBI and other filings by all kinds of people - which we now suppose Gray helped himself to while visiting as a guest at the FBI office?, bias and conspiracy makers, et-cetera ... and it is clear a lot of these people barely knew each other (or didn't know each other at all!) - in the first place. And someone wants a consistent story/record? It happens every day in ordinary life. That is the beautiful part!
  15. Early in this thread Snowmman asked about Cossey's competence. So far as I recall nobody has ever brought anything to light which 'impeached' Cossey's knowledge and competence working with (rigging, identifying, etc) people's parachutes? This versus Hayden and others ... who do not have the same 'certified' level of competence. I am sure Guru and others could speak to this issue.... If you were the FBI who would you go to for professional advice about the chutes supplied to Cooper which Cossey had had hands-on personal/professional experience. ???
  16. Perhaps Blevins is not aware that parachute riggers keep a log book of their own about the emergency parachutes they pack. If Cossey had the parachute serial number by itself, he could easily check his packing log books. Blevins also does not seem to be aware of the unusual construction features of the 26 foot conical canopy that was used in NB-6 parachutes that were in use in 1971. By sheer coincidence, I personally owned an NB-6 until about the first of November 1971. If a canopy of that era was presented to me today, I could tell in less than 10 seconds if it was a POSSIBLE 26 foot conical canopy from an NB-6. Only a casual glance would be necessary to exclude it. Blevins, do you know what was unusual about the construction of the 26 foot conical canopies that were used in NB-6s? Robert99 R99... how easy would it be to distinguish silk from nylon, just by looking at it? Would you have to feel it? Use a lens? Georger, if it was silk versus ripstop nylon it would be evident by a single glance. Ripstop fabric has its own unique pattern characteristics. I personally can't state that plain nylon was ever used in parachutes. At one point in my very early days, I bought (for about 5 bucks) a 25+ year old retired seat pack just to practice ground handling of the thing in winds. The canopy was definitely not ripstop nylon and was probably silk since the parachute probably predated WW2. But I can't state for certain that I would be able to tell the difference between plain nylon and silk, even using my white silk scarf to help. Robert99 Stupid question: were silk and nylon ever mixed? Are there inherent differences in the engineering of silk vs nylon chutes, and silk vs nylon construction differences? Differences in how they are sown? One stronger than the other that results in construction differences? One uses one kind and weight of cords versus the other ??? Differences easily detectable you dont need a phD for!

  18. To quote a 60's reference, that's a cop-out. Here's what I say: You want to buy this whole scenario about the chute, the Seattle FBI, and Cossey? No problem. Meanwhile, can I interest you in some beachfront property in Kansas? Cheap, good rates.
  19. There have been numerous photos of the parachute published. It continues to amaze me that all the experienced skydivers can't apparently just look at the chute, its loft, color, etc and hazard a guess whether its silk or nylon. Is silk really that difficult to distinguish from nylon in parachutes? Aamazed...
  20. Blevins would have an instant TWO-TON NEWS CONFERENCE FROM THE AB Books. That's what!
  21. My God, don't you ever do your OWN research on anything? Or do you simply sit at the keyboard bitching at everyone else? It's late here and I don't feel like digging up all the Amboy chute articles from my computer at the moment. You realize of course that I downloaded every single article I could find on the Amboy chute where a Seattle FBI spokesperson made an official statement. I even have a good idea on the timeline of events from the time it was discovered until it was dismissed. This is because I printed up all the articles and compared them. Maybe you should try this sometime if you want answers. Why the hell should I do your own work for you? How do you think I picked up all the information for the Amboy Chute article at Newsvine? I am asserting these things: First, no one outside of the Seattle FBI, with the exception of Earl Cossey was allowed to examine the Amboy chute. Second, they didn't even realize at first it had numbers and markings. And when they finally did, they first said they thought it came from a guy who bailed out months before the chute was actually manufactured. Third, they dropped it off at their own lab for examination, but the very next day stuffed it into the trunk of a car and took it up to Cossey's. Fourth, the only thing presented by the FBI on it after Cossey's exam was that it couldn't be Cooper's because Cossey said it was made of silk, and the one given to Cooper was nylon. This, in my humble opinion, is WRONG. Chute shows no signs of rot after (*allegedly*) being buried for decades. Silk is biodegradable. But the FBI is basing all of their results on that claim, at least publicly. Fifth, the Citizen Sleuths on their own website have expressed an interest in examining the chute, but were never provided same. Maybe they should ask again. Sixth, the chute was discovered in what many believe is the same area where Cooper jumped. My only question would be how many chutes do you think are buried in the Amboy/Ariel area that are obviously old? Seventh, the Seattle FBI claimed that 'experts' from the Puget Sound area were consulted. But in several articles days later, an FBI spokesperson admitted that these experts had only been contacted by phone, and none were actually allowed to examine the chute. Lastly, within 48 hours of Cossey's examination, the Seattle FBI dismissed the chute as not being Cooper's, giving only 'silk not nylon' and 'a totality of the information' as their only answers. They also said they would no longer discuss it. These statements can be verified by news articles. Why take my word on it? Go look for yourself. I've never said the chute was Cooper's. I have no way of knowing that. I've said the FBI's investigation into it was sloppy and their conclusions weak. I still stand by that. You should stop whining and see if you can prove me wrong on those allegations. Otherwise, well...you know. Hey "2-Ton", call KOIN! You are ready to go! They know who are you now. They had never heard of you before in connection with the Cooper case or anything else. It's free advertising for you and Gayla: housecleaning and Cooper Investigation, noted publishers AB. They are anxious to talk to you about your 2- tons of 'expertise' and criticism of the FBI etal in the DB Cooper case, balanced over your head on only one finger. Oh! And what happened to that deadline (Jan 5?) you previously set for people signing up for 'Cooper in the Theatre' at Auburn? How did that drop off the radar after so much publicity announced here ? Be sure to cover that - in your KOIN News Conference! break a leg Will you be jumping the Grand Canyon next?
  22. Ever considered entering yourself in a Drama Queen contest? You'd be a shoe-in for at least the runner-up spot, depending on how you do in the swimsuit part. Where do you get this stuff? You don't even know me. Welfare of others? You are kidding. I once helped raise two tons of food for the Auburn Food Bank. (EDIT: it was 2,000 pounds approximately, not two tons, my bad) We had to use a U-haul to deliver all the canned goods. I also do a lot of things out of my own time and with my own money for this community besides just showing free movies once a year. I've volunteered at Childrens' Hospital and worked for peanuts in group homes just because the hours were good and I enjoyed helping people. You haven't a frickin' clue who I am, so stop pretending you do. And I assure you the only way I will ever leave this Earth will be screaming and kicking. You are SO funny sometimes, I swear. The reason I said the Seattle FBI has never allowed anyone to physically examine the chute except Cossey is because it's TRUE. The reason I said the Seattle FBI never provided the slightest explanation on why they dismissed it (beyond 'a totality of the information') is because that's what happened. Instead of whining at me, maybe you should give them a call and ask them how they concluded it wasn't Cooper's...even though it was found in the same area where they searched for Cooper. And someone took the trouble to bury it. Ask for details. Look, if you accept that explanation from them, fine. No use bitching at me about it. Just believe it and move on. And you accuse me and others of being a Drama Queen! ??? Excuse me, but if The reason I said the Seattle FBI has never allowed anyone to physically examine the chute except Cossey is because it's TRUE.' is true, then show us the proof! Stop all the years of fucking around and posting crap, and just show the world the proof! You have no proof! All you have is your assertions you keep making over and over. This isn't rocket science Bobby. Show us the proof of your assertion. You do't have any proof. It's you versus the FBI! Go to the news media with your story and your proof and Tom Kaye or Gray to back your story up. Hell, I will make the call for ya! Call a press conference at Auburn tomorrow and tell your story and present _the proof of your assertions. Hell ... I will just call the Mayor of Auburn and KOIN tomorrow and set it up for ya! DONE! I assume they know who you are and all, Bigshot writer, investigator, food bank collector, and who knows what else that you are (compared to your "wage earner sheeple and slapped down red hair step children" you assuage and make fun of !? RobertMBlevins Press Conference - Coming Up! He has PROOF! in the DB Cooper case... which is more than the FBI has! You heard it FIRST here at Dropzone courtesy of the Great Robert M Blevins, himself. We are honored to have him, at least I am. So, whoever you are, you are the guy who keeps coming here saying, quote: "The reason I said the Seattle FBI has never allowed anyone to physically examine the chute except Cossey is because it's TRUE. The reason I said the Seattle FBI never provided the slightest explanation on why they dismissed it (beyond 'a totality of the information') is because that's what happened" .... and that is NEWS! You must have inside source ?
  23. Okay, I'll bite. Because they did. Name one person outside of the FBI or Cossey who was allowed to examine it. Bonus Question: State for certain how you know it wasn't used by Cooper. I mean beyond 'because the Seattle FBI said so, without giving a definitive reason'. Let me drop a hint on you about the Seattle FBI and this chute. I send the Seattle FBI occasional Cooper-related questions. Not real often. Twice a year maybe. They ALWAYS answer. Sometimes by email, sometimes by phone, sometimes both. But all questions on the chute are ignored. They don't even come back with 'we determined it wasn't Cooper's'. Nothing is said at all on that. I think Tom Kaye's team should put in an official request to examine it. What's the harm of it. If the chute doesn't fit, you must acquit, right? Problem is no one has taken the size of it. and your proof is? Your proof is: you like to pick fights with people bigger than you and use other people's names to fuel your fights. You seem to be saying over and over again, that the FBI should take you into its confidence and sue you as an expert, since you constantly cite Tom Kaye/Team as if you were one of them! So, instead of constantly harping about what the FBI does wrong, why don't you apply and set them all straight in person! ... then you could get off our backs?
