Could have saved himself some time by reading my posts, but that's why I don't visit this board anymore. People have their mind's made up without having any evidence to disagree. Money does float, but it just doesn't float for very long (it's a matter of minutes) and this floatability makes a huge difference in figuring how far the money could have traveled. Good luck "Could have" and "did" are two different things. Tom read all of your posts. The issue isn't so much flotation as travel and travel from a variety of source options. Jo and Duane lived at Virgina Beach. McCoy was shot and killed at Virgina Beach. McCoy hijacked a 727 and parachuted just as Cooper did. It is impossible Jo and Duane could have lived at Virginia Beach and not known about the McCoy and Cooper story at Virgina Beach - it was public knowledge nationally and in local conversation, at Virgina Beach. By Jo's own words she and Duane were an active part of the community. Jo is the one who brought up Virgina Beach here, while also "hiding in plain" sight the rest of the story.

Now THAT - is a well constructed argument that the fits the "facts" as we know them. Don't forget there are still people who are convinced McCoy and Cooper were the same person. Duane could easily have been one of them... having travelled around on the trail to find the money like many others, explaining the various trips etc. (Or at least explaining all the stuff we know, as opposed to the stuff we are told but have no evidence for.) Jo herself provides many clues (as to what she's thinking and the knowledge base she is working from - facts that only Jo could know. For example: " Remember that when she sues you and me - REMEMBER WHY I TOLD YOU SHE COULDN'T BE CONTACTED AND WHY I AM NOT ALLOWED TO MENTION HER?" The book might be: "DB Cooper: The Real McCoy". *If you recall Jo spent weeks here over a photo from Salt Lake City and a Mormon connection she said was important to the case of Duane and DB Cooper. That dilemma is resolved by reading "DB Cooper: The Real McCoy". This book posits similar methods of hijacking between McCoy and Cooper. The book also mentions a tie and Brigham Young medallion with McCoy's initials on the back, which Cooper supposedly left on the plane. Jo takes the evidence listed in this book at face value and goes forward trying to establish a connection between "Duane" and the same evidence, including the Brigham Young medallion. Jo presents photos here claiming a connection between Salt Lake City and Duane. If Duane was Cooper he must link to the medallion found on the plane, as stated in DB Cooper: The Real McCoy. Except there was no Brigham Young Medallion with McCoy's initials found on the plane! McCoy's widow filed suit against the book's authors on this very point and won a large settlement. The FBI has never listed such an item entered into evidence. Mrs McCoy was granted an injunction to prohibit the sale of movie rights to the book, conditional upon the movie including references to four specific allegations that she contested in the book. And Mrs. McCoy accepted a settlement for her grief in 1994. Cooper never left a Bigham Young medalion with MCCoy's initials on it, on the plane. Jo seems to be using the McCoy book as her standard reference on the Cooper matter and trying to link Duane using what the McCoy book says. Had Jo researched the matter further she would know there is no reason to post a photo of Salt Lake City, because there is no known Mormon connection so far as the FBI is concerned. The McCoy book was proved wrong long ago and Mrs McCoy given a settlement for her grief! Jo seems to imply that she and Duane were following the Cooper story clear back in the 80's. Jo says: " Remember that there was not only the books but a re-assurgence of articles on Cooper in the early 80's. He also had taken a job that required consistent contact with individuals on a daily and weekly basis." But, of course this is where McCoy was killed, where the Cooper matterwas being discussed at large, and where the Webers first got interested in DB Cooper. So Jo would remember where something so important in her life began, something she is still working on today. Let me close with with Jo's most recent assessment of her quest. It is possible this was a training exercise but if that is the case you will not know until say 50 years down the road and most of us are dead and gone, and it no longer matters. Snow seems to be taking that stance by focusing on inconsistencies and contradictions which unravel everything. But that in itself could be disinformation meant to unravel reality. Snowmman clearly engages in 'petty' psychological warfare here testing how far he/she can manipulate people, but for what end, if any? Then on April 7 1972 Richard McCoy used the same tactic as Cooper hijacking a 727, but McCoy is shot and killed by the FBI at Virginia Beach VA in 1974 with most of the ransom money recovered. Then some time after 1978 who begins living at Virgina Beach VA? Duane Weber. People at Virgina Beach are talking about the McCoy incident and many are already linking McCoy to Cooper. Duane Weber gets interested and links McCoy to Cooper. It was no work of genius at the time. Duane Weber tells people he 'knows who DB Cooper was' but of course its already an open secret everyone is talking about. Duane never says HE was DB Cooper. We dont even know how serious Duane was about this matter except years later a friend of Duane's will tell people Duane told him 'I know who DB Cooper was'. Jo Weber will tell people the same thing years later around 2001 - that Duane thought he knew or suspected he knew "who DB Cooper was". Finally in 1991 "DB Cooper: The Real McCoy" is published. In 1995 Duane dies. Somewhere in this mix of seperation, Jo Weber began to claim Duane Weber was DB Cooper! So, you start with the apparent hijacking itself. You have a copycat Richard MyCoy who repeats the Cooper's stunt but gets shot and killed. You have a third party Duane Weber also at Virgina Beach where McCoy was killed, who gets interested and begins talking up the idea McCoy and Cooper were one. (Duane's idea may even have come from Jo!) And then a fourth party Jo Weber herself who changes the story for the media claiming 'Duane was Cooper'. And now you who say - " Cooper didn't exist! HA!" The conclusion is obvious: What began either as a training exercise or a real hijacking ends up four parties removed and 30 years later with Jo Weber claiming Duane Weber was DB Cooper, because Jo Weber needs attention; all because Duane movd to Virgina Beach where the real Richard McCoy was shot and killed, and it caught Duane and Jo's interest. Snowmman will fit into this somewhere, inevitably.

I can see staying in the cockpit just to be 100% sure to avoid a confrontation with a bomb wielding hijacker. That means leaving the stairs down. Leaving the landing gear down for the rest of the flight if you are reasonably certain that Cooper has left the plane is puzzling. If you take these passages at face value, they did not go back to look until during their approach at Reno and then only a 'cursory' look, as the text conveys. Their primary concern was the bomb. However, they may have been listening for any sign of Cooper in the back? The PA may have allowed them to listen? They also had a curtain separating them from the back so perhaps peeked from time to time? And it is clear they were having private conversations with Nyrop and others during this whole period, which are not included in the PI & NWA Transcripts. My instinct is they looked prior to public comment transcribed, as they approach Reno. There is one comment from the ground (included below) which asks them to look and then land asap if the HJ is gone (we know they did not land before Reno). If one is disturbed say in logging you have the fed/State mandate to call an archaeologist and report it, but nobody ever does (too costly to wait). So except for grave poachers the cairns are pretty much left alone. So it might be a place to stache things, even a person, especially late in the year before snowmelt and rains... if you could cover it back up and make it look undisturbed. Its just a thought. Somebody brought up RR tracks behind Fazios - guess Snow did - and I meant to post this map so will now and hopfully Jerry will see it - Its late - later. I had an idea and will post it here - has to do with the indian rock burials. any chance you could dig one of those burial mounds up, stuff cooper and his chute in and cover him back up with the rocks and debris, then by say March it wouldnt show? Goodall reported chimps breaking off branches and leaves and placing them on their back to shed the rain. Chimps even holding branches over other chimps like umbrellas. Chimps and other primates make nests and sleep in them of course. When you think about it, clothes are nothing but a portable nest.

Simons and his wife saw Cooper, and others. All the passengers were interviewed. Now the wierd thing about Simons and his wife is they participated in a tv program (In Search Of?) later and they had a long story about almost having an 'encounter' with Cooper who Simons claimed glared at him s Simons was passing to go to the head. Ckret said here he didnt believe it because the Simons said nothing about any of this in their interview(s). Other passengers were interviewed however and gave a description of Cooper. Nobody apparently interacted with him however. There was a student sitting close to Cooper who apparently watched him a little? I would have to go to my notes - others may remember more here...
