  1. I still get a kick out of the fact that two F 106 air defense interceptors which were designed for this task were unable to track the 727 but a McChord C 130 Herc did find it. Fighter jocks are always looking down their noses at transport pilots. Not this time. 377 thought of you when I ran across this - attached.
  2. the over-all best chutes? compared to what? chutes designed by da Vinci? Come on Big Bob. This is a formal op. A lot at stake. This isnt your average Saturday afternoon bar'beque, or is it? These are technically trained experts pulling off a heist intended to wake up the world, by your account, and the best they can come up with is: over-all best chutes? Something is wrong with your terminology ... and your plotline. You make this sound like some play the kids at Kinderfarm have put together. Who wears the grizzly bear suit in whose mom's mink coat ... who rattles the tin sheet for sound effects? You yourself claim to be a technically trained expert in engineering design (mold fabrication etc) - on your Facebook vita. Is "over-all best chutes" something a trained engineer would say? So you are saying Cossey and the lady at the flying school were all in on this? Who picked the chute with the X and gave it to the officer to transport to SEA? She was an informed participant? What happens to 'the rest of the story'? You make it sounds like your CA Op is happening in a vacuum. Bob, you are toying with actual history here. B'bop Alooma did NOT stab Ceasar! It was Brutus! There were witnesses at the OK Corral! And Mickey Mouse was not flying one of the F106's to make sure Cooper escaped! "over-all best scenario" ... grade F for Failed. re-write your script?
  3. ft#3*M3^%CV##t! You are sohhhh cruel! But my head is held high ,,,,,
  4. And you know all of these things about Christiansen exactly how again? Have you spoken to the people who knew him, or is it just a gut instinct? Have to ask. Gut instinct based on everything Ive read including yours to date .... Name me one thing he did of a serious nature that was criminal? (excluding him being DB Cooper). One actual proven-recorded criminal act.
  5. Ok. We were just talking about profiles. I think Kenny was "too moral" to be Cooper. This stuff about him being pissed off enough at NWA to hijack their plane is nonsense, to me. Kenny was a good servant his whole life long. A moral guy from a fine rural Minnesota family, who found his way and made a place for himself in the world - straight path all the way through to the end, as much as possible. Im sure there were some bad times but he had stamina and was resolute; he liked life too much to risk it all. Kenny was no genius. Sure he had private secrets but everyone does. I find it strange you are so attracted to him. I think Kenny would see you as a risk taker?
  6. not even the FBI psychological profile of DB Cooper What profile would that be? Didnt know the FBI ever published a formal profile of Cooper. A few people made a few comments/guesses about who and what Cooper was but beyond that .... what is there? There may be an interal profile, but a published one? Where is it. I would like to read it.
  7. It is 11:33 and I am laughing my head off. Sluggo! You don't know who Rupert or Richard are? Richard was a gay guy who ran around naked. Rupert was an good ole boy who was very bolsterous. Both played really good games on Lost.... SURVIVOR on CBS. LOST on ABC was about people marooned on an island after a plane crash - You people have it confused. Survivor is the reality game show where contestants get voted off. Finalists go to a jury who decides the winner of $1,000,000. That is the program you people are thinking of ..............
  8. The issue from the standpoint of secrecy is what did it look like from the ceiling side in Kenny's day. Did Kenny even add it? No proof of anything ... no effort to get to the truth.
  9. Robert, did you actually see hinges? A freeze frame of the show just shows a plywood board across some joists, but it doesnt show the full area of the plywood piece. I have pieces of plywood in my attic that are just layed across joists to provide an area to stand on or walk on. With insulation installed you cant see much. I just want to be sure that the MYTHistory Channel isnt spinning a loose piece of plywood into a hinged secret compartment. 377 so what would you see entering KC's bedroom? Plywood hinged piece on his ceiling? No drywall; just the ply piece? (The plywood piece was 'under' the framing on the ceiling side, in the video ). That's obviously secret and out of view from Kenny's bedroom side... duhhhhhhhh. We know Kenny did house repairs etc. I imagine that place was good and cold. That attic access is either original to the building or somebody made it ... to insulate the attic? The problem with Decoded is they invent problems to decode where there was nothing to decode in the first place. Their program on the White House corner stone was one example. Big mystery .... who stole it! .... only to find out its still just where it was when the White House was built, and why wouldnt it be? Not stolen by the Masonic Lodge at all! Harry Truman'scavations a waste of time trying to find it ... wasnt on the corner Harry excavated, that's all. But people need their entertainment. There would be a DB Cooper case and writer's fictionalising it ..... even if there wasn't one! Consider that factoid.
  10. The Decoded crew decided to use an infrared scanner on Kenny's old house. They found a hinged board covering a section between two joists in the attic area above what used to be KC's bedroom. When they pulled the insulation away, there was a hiding spot covered by the hinged board. Anyone could have installed that, of course, but I pointed out in the book that Kenny owned the house for twenty-two years, the longest of all the known owners, so the chances he was the one who put it up there are good. So you & they, are saying having an attic acess in a house/building is unusual? That doesn;t add up to 'the torture room' or the 'hidden vault'. Fresh insulation was noted. The old attic access was dry-walled over. Melcher's sleuths had to use the outside attic vent to get in ... Does the property have an old well? (probably). Better search it for money & skeletons. Kenny was obviously a mass murderer or he was DB Cooper. The 'strangeness' of the property proves it. All old properties are automatically suspect for criminal activity in some hi-profile cold case! Not to mention fungal diseases, histoplasmosis, ebola, and Shack's Disease. That place lites up HOT on the DBC meter. (That's Safecracking logic)
  11. No. I'm just the managing editor at AB. My job is to screen submissions and do editing of manuscripts. I've never been a D.B. Cooper investigator. I was asked to do some local interviews, that's all. The book was actually submitted by Skipp Porteous. I only got involved in the writing of the book when it became apparent that I was finding out a lot more than just some basic background facts on Christiansen. When that happened, I was sort of forced into the job of co-authoring the book. I really had no choice, since I did many of the interviews. Me too! I was forced into it! Me, myself, and I. It's a great adventure but I wont bother anyone about. But watching you, I may now write a book, or at least an article, in "Polyisoprene Digest"..
  12. Agreed. No forensics on anything. All pure conjecture and allegory. Big yawn.
  13. Nope. Statute of limitations has run on everyone but Cooper. Al wasn't talking as far as I can tell until after the statute had run out. So Jamie, today was the big day when some law enforement folks were going to visit you. What happened? Are you sure it's all about DBC's briefcase and not about the unsolved Billy Vocks murder? 377 the thing is both cases are connected. it sounds like we got the murder solved. they will contact me later about it, there a few others that still need to be questioned about it. the DB Cooper case belongs to the FBI so that will be passed along to the right people and followed up later. but did they find it? has it been given to the FBI?
  14. "good chute"??? Are you saying Cooper jumped with the chute from the X'd container? How? The X'd (dummy) container was a chest mount reserve. The military surplus bailout rig he chose to wear had no hardware for fastening a reserve. The Pioneer sport rig that did have D rings was left on the plane. 377 Al is talking about some other hijacking, planned, but never executed - a hijack Duane wanted to do (and thought out with Al), but never happened! Jo is left holding the bag for something that never left the thought stage but was alluded to times many times by Duane? Duane just never bothered to inform Al! Duane did inform MAC. Like Jo, Al is trying to piece it all together. It's a sequel to "LOST" (ABC).
  15. Not me. Makes little sense PLUS you couldn't fit boots and a 28 ft canopy in a chest mount reserve container. There is not enough room. Not even close. Ask anyone who has experience with that old school gear. 377 next to the self- inflating raft .... and the Mickey snuggy slippers.
  16. or Clyde on the PDX Radio forum? Who knows more? Clyde, Knoss, or Bill Rataczak? I have to go with Bill Rataczak. He was there. I don't know what Clyde has said, but I will put him second because I believe the Knoss Fable is just that. see http://feedback.pdxradio.com/topic/db-cooper-where-are-you if you dont already know it.
  17. Wrong Georger: I did find the places he took me and I have tried to tell what happenend on that trip and what he said. You are short changing there - I don't even know when McCoy was killed but it was BEFORE we moved to Va. Bch, Va - we moved there in late 1983. He did NOT go out of his way to point the house out, but he was showing me where the shopping centre was and it was not to far from there. I did not think much about it. P.S. Please leave me out of Knoss's liberations. You are right in one aspect - he did NOT talk about his past - Cooper or otherwise. Until 1984 he was very closed mouth about his past. That was the first yr his sister had an address for him and he called her...he was so proud of that house. You would never believe how much pride he took in the house and we were really making GOOD money - very good money...and this would continue until 1988 at which time I basically became the breadwinner and the shop and his disability supplemented us. When the book on Norjack came out I asked what the book was about and he made an off the wall remark that I wouldn't be interested in it (note Duane NEVER read books). This was the 1st book I had ever known him to purchase. When I asked for the book so I could read it - it convenienenty was in the hands of one of the guy who worked for us. I did NOT get to read that book until Late 1996 AFTER his confession and AfTER my conversations with Himmelsbach when he sent me a copy. The book I read first was fictional book - D. B. Cooper, What Really Happened by Max Gunther in May of 1996 and after reading just a short way was on the phone to the FBI. I actually had nothing else until Himmelsbach sent me his book about 5 months later. obviously, something started all of this. Either Duane was Cooper or it's something else. Can't be both.
  18. or, the whole thing was a Fantasy. Jo has never established anything Duane said or did prior to their moving to Virginia Beach ... which has any connection to the DB Cooper case. By that time the Cooper hijacking was long over and McCoy was already dead, having been killed at Virginia Beach and Duane found out and took Jo for a car ride passed where McCoy had been hiding out and was killed. Prior to that event there is literally nothing which ties Duane Weber to the Cooper hijacking ... except for Mr. Knoss' fantastical alliteration which alleges a government conspiracy deeper than the Bilderberger Group Fisheree of 1394 at Njorkiviekket Norway, which altered the orbits of the planets and changed the mass of the proton.
  19. 5. Name one part of Knoss' story you think might be passible? Um...I'll have to get back to you on this. Okay. NOT ONE PART. I have seen his many posts at Facebook. I had to get away from them. or Clyde on the PDX Radio forum? Who knows more? Clyde, Knoss, or Bill Rataczak?
  20. No worries. I already found it for them. See picture... these guys are able do nuclear and mitochondrial testing too. which might also help, i have the envelope that card and check from my father came in yet. maybe that can produce a match? that looks alot like the case I remember. cept this one didn't have that sticker on it, and looked more beat up. is there a black Bronco near your house right now with a parabolic antenna on top?
  21. Be sure there arent any roaches in your ashtrays. I really doubt if they can get a search warrant, but I dont know the local judicial landscape. There are a few judges who always do what the police want and let the lawyers and appellate courts sort out the Fourth Amendment issues. Sometimes police can get voluntary cooperation if the person whose home is being searched has no fear or risk of arrest or prosecution. Good luck Jamie. Wouldnt that be something if you really found a hot twenty? I'd have to eat some crow and so would others. We could roast one at Ariel next November. I wonder if Jerry or Amazon has a good local recipe? 377 He made a good move - better to have the locals on your side vs other way around ... hope the home owners are helpful ... this would warrant a party ... we could have it at Thomas' place! ....... somebody tell him!
  22. Are you 100% certain you're NOT confusing it with the Ethics in America series that WAS done on PBS that Jennings DID take a part in? Juan Williams worked many years for NPR and began appearing on PBS about this time - if my memory serves? That might explain Juan Williams being a part of this?
  23. He didnt say DOUG Pasternak, but some other Pasternak .... go back and read his post ... there are a lot of Pasternak(s), just like there are a lot of Palmer reports. He said: [Who are you that I should spend the effort to give you a free-bee? Dan Pasternak, Peter Jennings, Brit Hume and others held a round-table that was televised, discussing whether or not this story should be released. They concluded NOT. Hume stated he had verified the McCoy situation with George Tenant, but he did not mention Mac by name.] Okay, I will agree with that, but who is DAN Pasternak? And when did this so called special take place? It did NOT happen because no one knew who Knoss was until he contacted me after Doug Pasternak did his article. Im with you on this and struggling too! I know a "Fast Eddy" Pasternak from Philly who has a brother named Dan - their father was named Dan and was in the OS during WWII. The dad also had some ties to the Hagannah and the Irgun. Fast-Eddy became a chemical engineer working for Standard Oil in Portland? Seattle? Fast-Eddy had an early patent for reverse osmosis (filtering). Fast-Eddy married Gilda whose Dad was the chief of forensic pathology at ____________. I havent the faintest idea where Dan wound up or what doing .... but I can call Dr. Debler and ask (he would know) .... if it comes to that ... which I doubt! This is hilarious! Maybe Ed is Knoss! I wouldnt put it past him! I have no doubt Knoss knows "Fast Eddy". Eddy's Dad used ro raise eggplant. (had a thing for them for some reason, he won several eggplant awards) ... he knew several guys in the mafia who used to fix bets for him at a race track I cant name . . . I will search for more clues . . . and get back.
