  1. ______________________________________________ Robert replies: You missed my true meaning there, Meyer. I meant that since Bruce has been much more on top of the Cossey investigation than I...that I wouldn't post up any new developments in the case on my own. One thing that seems strange to me about this Cossey case, though. After this amount of time since the murder, you would think (if it was a burglary-in-progress) that the cops would have mentioned that by now. Not for my benefit...but for the benefit of the other residents in Cossey's neighborhood. If there really IS a burglar in that area who has now graduated to murder, the neighbors might want to know. Maybe its just me but LE seems reluctant in general these days to share "anything" it has or is doing ... across the board. Especially in murder cases. The NEW policy has garnered strong criticism in my State - LE does not seem to want to work with the public any more? Likewise news media are not doing their traditional jobs of tracking things down any more - some stations have dropped Quick Find for lost children - lack of funds and personnel. Boston was an exception and produced almost instant results due to public cooperation. The Chia-Police in Cleveland turned down tip after tip ... due to lack of internal policies on watering! 911 ops hung up on callers! Maybe Cleveland should just route all 911 calls to Mexico or India ?
  2. Blevins, The above quote is jumping to a big time conclusion based on no evidence at all. You are just whining because YOU don't know what is going on. Are the police suppose to keep you (and the murderer) filled in on all the developments just to give you something to write about on this thread and your blog? If Blevins knows something, it will be on the thread or his blog within an hour or two. You have got that percentage of posts to maintain. Robert99 'They' are all around us!
  3. undoubtedly UFO related ... MKMOTJRA ? Looks to me like somebody is trying to murder this forum! oo oo oo teacher! I know! (hand waiving freely) The police are refusing to talk to hombres wackos bochos nochos bancos?
  4. Try this - right off the DZ ads page - this is your answer to total self reliance on a deserted Pacific island! http://power4patriots.com/video/index-c.php Most mediums reach a point where they pass out just on the brink of some crucial decision - I note Aamazon is silent so I will demur too to let the villagers settle the debate: goat vs chicken vs fish. mosel alequm halawaah kolnafti ..
  5. not every case ends up like the television show 48 hours. let them do there job! I know lots of people want answers, but the media and police are not going to give updates like being on this thread. my horses are safe and sound in the corral.....but thanks for asking Quote well said - agree. will get to email tonight -
  6. Before you come off with another smart-aleck comment on a sad situation, I have no plans to attend any such memorial. I didn't know the guy. Never met him in person. Not writing any articles about him. I just hope they find the killer. Pretty simple. Your links are ignored. I leave the viewing of them to others. Im just trying to keep you from self immolation on the pogo stick you are currently deployed on - Next thing we know you and Cossey's killer will be having it out in some aisle at K-Mart with one of those M-16's and rocket launchers you were linking us to here yesterday! I just give Law Enforcement and Cossey and his family, more credit for having brains than you do. Lighten up your gratuitous moral fervor ... let people take care of their business and stay out the way ... and the same could be said for Bruce ... if you really and truly ... care? Manner are as manners do! It's just an idea. I read non-fiction.
  7. Hey...hold your horses there cowboy. Do you think that I am the ONLY one in the Puget Sound area who wants Cossey's killer brought to justice? That man never did anything to anyone, and judging from the many nice posts put up by his former students, he was well-liked. I never even met the guy myself, and even I am pissed off that he ended up like that. I didn't say anything about a conspiracy, and this has ZIP to do with Christiansen. I merely voiced my frustration that so far they haven't ID'd a suspect. And you can bet that Cossey's family and friends are thinking the same thing. Hey...hold your horses there cowboy ??? Send some flowers and give a $5000 memorial. That should take care of your official duties. Or, you could do an official SKYDIVE from a Curtis Jenny at 100 feet ... in his honor! That should assuage any gratuitous resemblance between a rooster and an authentic nuclear submarine in attack mode? Maybe help the cause with a scent rooster?
  8. Fair question. I met a very nice couple at the last Ariel gathering while doing the video. One of the questions I sort of casually asked people was: 'Do you think the chute found down near Amboy belonged to DB Cooper?' Or 'Do you believe Cooper lived or died?' Some people didn't know about it (Amboy chute) at all. Most of the others said they didn't know if it was Cooper's. But this one lady mentioned rather casually that she and her husband knew the people who owned the property where the chute was discovered. They were also from Amboy, and had been attending the Ariel event for years. (There is something very special about these people, which I can't mention because we're going to do their life story in a book this summer. I have to go down and get video and pictures for research. Totally NON-Cooper related story) I didn't even ask the exact location, because I had no intention of following up on it. You know...it was just a question I asked people for fun, for the video. You can see her at the 38:47 mark on the Ariel video. I did a brief interview with her. Off-camera, I asked her some questions about what she did for a living (unique, to say the least), how long they'd lived in Amboy (more than 30 years). Then I said something else about the Amboy chute and that's when she told me what she did. Very nice lady. The old guy in the video with her is not her husband. He was already inside the bar when I started filming her. I can tell you this much about what this lady and her husband do for a living: They have spent their entire lives helping others. It's an amazing story. Its an amazing story you and they and she have spent their hole lives helping others, but did she tell you what she told you without asking what she did when she when she told you what she did? Any details in that circle dance of manners upon manners inside hyper sincerity? You referred to wanting now to get into the deep history of hijackings ... which FARFLUNG (remember him?) spent almost two years developing here, for the edification of copy cats. You could just REPOST Farfling's posts! That is, if she told you without asking what she did when she told you what she did? This should be perfectly clear, if she told you. what she did when she told you? What's the deal with Cossey and you? Have you adopted him and his murder, out of the thin blue skies? Are you about to own his story, to keep the other journalist Bruce Smith at bay, on eBay? Lot's questions! Did your friend Cossey own any ariel cameras?
  9. the guy who beat the system. Quote I laugh when I hear 1960s SDS cliches like that. I'm sorry. But I laugh. "The System" gave him a free plane ride . . . etc. Bruce let's just say you are an incurable romantic.
  10. Dont mistake deceit with someone not wanting to talk about it at all and/or not wanting to talk to you about it with fifty others waiting in line for confession, papers to grade, lesson plans to submit, committee meetings to attend, parent conferences, etc etc etc, kids and wife to care for, skydiving lessons, chute packing, and a million other things that must get done and done right vs you who has a ton of free time on their hands and no real responsibilities except to run around and piss people off looking for a story?! Dont take it personally! My guess is: all we have seen is the tip of the iceberg. And I have sound basis for saying that ...
  11. You hit the nail on the head if understand the previous discussion about attaching one rig to the other etc. I think (stress, think) that very question was brought up years ago, and no firm conclusions could be made... leading some to conjecture if Cooper brought along connectors etc (in the brown paper bag)? Why would it matter if one was a dud if both are "duds" for whatever reason! Nice work! Im pretty sure 377 will remember this very dilemma coming up before ... Its just one more instance where people seemed to be rushing to judgement in favor of one bias vs another... and I think to some extent that is one dilemma Cossey got caught in etc ...
  12. Did he ask Cossey about the discrepancy?
  13. Cooper ransacked the galley before he left. Its pretty obvious he planned on having to rely on his own resources for a while, hiking out. All of which goes to his thoughts just before bailing ... Geoff and I compared notes and discussed this at some length before the publication of his book. There is more that hasn't been released ...
  14. Bernie Geestman Bernie's buddy Ken Christiansen He looks an awful lot like Jack Ruby.
  15. Been trying to get by Blevins to reply - Your fires and WX are coupled with our drought turned to cold wet long spring here - and if this doesn't mellow out soon food cost inflation is going to spiral inevitably. Crop insurance kept people going last year but this cannot happen a second time to the same floor level - if we have another year of crisis. You will be seeing $15 Corn Flakes from ADM (or more) and $10-$20/gal milk, unless the Govt wants to go even deeper into debt. Feeding prices have skyrocketed already from last year's drought ... couple all of this with the health care crisis ... the Sequester is just a shadow of what is already starting to develop in future job losses ... I hope these weather issues mellow out soon so we can get crops planted so we can get a floor under basic inflation ... its right at the margin. Use this for one: http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php
  16. Meaningless Bullshit You quite obviously FAILED my stat course!
  17. What this Website needs is an "Affordable Blevins Plan" and a "Affordable Weber Plan". It's obvious that their welfare costs have broken the system.
  18. C: Blevins' choices are a deception and a trap and do not accurately reflect the real-world options available in this or any other matter! Really? My A or B choices look pretty straightforward to me. Define 'any other matter'. That sounds like a generalization. Whining not necessary. No one said you had to vote. It's always the messenger with you, never the message. What's the problem? Question too tough for you? The problem is you are either too stupid to see other choices or you are a flat out scam artist. No need to get personal and throw a tantrum - its just another inconvenience truth. Does that answer your idiotic question? You don't deserve an answer, troll. Why not take your shuck and jive poll to Newsvine where your "wage earner sheeple" are? You've already written a Newsvine article washing your hands of Dropzone ... now you want to poll us? LOL. Americans wanna know. Why dont you spend your time over at CNN and take care of the complaints against you there! Dont cry. As Geoff Gray said recently: "Blevins is only making trouble". We all heard him say it on the speaker phone. People are free to answer your poll you've put up if they want . . . I'm just suggesting there is another choice C: People are free to answer your poll you've put up if they want . . . 20. Are YOU talking about a rare mallard? Georger - U forget that I am not a moron! Yes. That Mallard named: WR555-5645446-8696867-99B Duane had him in a sack and the DNR was looking for him. Duane poached him from some lady's purse at Hiawatha State Sturgeon Lake, Cambodia, just before his h'jacking in 1791. Thot you knew! Oh well ... Cambodian Smoke jumpers have the records.. I was told.
  21. Even more curious - why did AGENT CARR go alone and why was he and he alone allowed to continue to dig! That was my understanding from what was told. NO agent ACTS on his own - there must be a witness to any excavations made. [reply thingy thing that does not work any more] _________________________________________________ Who knows, Jo! Maybe your script writer Queen Margaretta, is a frog? Ribbet ribbet. Meow meow. Mooooo Moooo? The next Full Moon will know!
  22. I thought I read a report that the landowner cut the lines because he (and the kids) couldn't get it to come out. If so, it's either totally ridiculous or suspicious. MeyerLouie [reply thingy thing that doesnt work...)) ______________________________________________ You did and I read a dozen of those reports! The problemo is those reports are not from Jo or Blevins so, ad hoc, those reports are wrong. We have the DB Cooper thread. We have the Jo Weber Duane thread. We have the Blevins knows everything about everything thread. Rarely do they coincide. In fact, I think there is a deeper Tom Kaye thread! So take your choice and place your bets. In order to win your license number must match the DNR number stenciled on a mallard released in 1971, which sooner or later should show in strata on Tena Bar ... to be revealed by guess who! Tom Kaye.
  23. What I saw was not as yellow looking at that one. My memory says the writing was larger, but I only unfolded it just a little and quickly put it back in the console. He immediately wanted to know if I was snooping. This was during the period he lived in the travel trailer at the shop till he could get his bearings. The same time period a plane ticket was charged one way to my credit card. An during the same time his friend would after he died told me about walking into the shop and Duane was counting money. The friend insisted it was $100 bills and about 50K. He just thought Duane kept cash in a safe the what he did. This friend was the one who had gone to Tallahasse with him the wkend he disappeared for 2 days leaving the friend to manage the site. The shop was broke into during that time frame 2 times! After one incident Duane walked to the work room and looked behind the door. "Oh damn they got it" I had NO idea what he was talking about and he didn't tell me - evidently the thief was only after that one thing as nothing else in the shop had been touched. The AC in the window had been torn out to gain access. They had to have had 2 individual or a latter to reach that window from the ground, The shop had been broke into before that about a wk or two. Duane did NOT report the break-ins. Hell, of course at that time I didn't know why and now I do. He was an ex-con! What if Cooper was the guy from Waterworld? Did Duane have gills behind his ears, webbed toes, and a shrunken superior laryngeal nerve which at times made him sounds like a high soprano? Its very possible Cooper just found a creek and swam away, eventually reaching the Columbia. That would account for the money at Tena Bar and your story of a ham sandwich in a paper bag... and smoke jumping and duDop, and the Kennedy assassination, and the Cuban Insurrection, and your early posts on the website for platypus researchers ?
  24. The Seattle FBI agent said, on this thread, that the FBI consulted Cossey and two others, in addition to other things. No, he didn't mention names -- go figure . Doubtless they told him to keep their names away from the public and out of this crazy house.
  25. Nice article find. Well, you can see how Cossey became the go-to guy for the FBI, and it makes perfect sense. He was the only one to see the canopies. Norman Hayden has said he bought them packed, and never observed the re-packing(s) personally. I think Cossey's only mistake may have been with the Amboy chute. He may have been right about the chute not being Cooper's, but the choice to use the silk reason might not have been the best choice as the reason he gave. Well, we've discussed all that ins and outs of the silk thing before so I'm not gonna go there tonight - except to say...my main problem with dismissing Cossey's silk statement out of hand is -- based on what I've read -- certified master riggers know fabrics. It's part of their job and part of their knowledge base when it comes to certification and such. So you'd think that his opinion would be based on that knowledge. Now I don't know, maybe the training and knowledge is not as rigorous as I've been led to believe, but one would hope that it's not like just any ol guy saying it is or isn't silk, you know? Dont wish to bore anyone but I will post it again for those who missed it tending to Blevins-business.
