As far as that goes, I didn't check out any further to verify that the Lynn D in the divorce is Lynn Doyle. I was relying on a post on here that said Marla's Lynn Doyle was married to a Becky Jo Defoe. Just putting that caveat out there.

Make no mistake. I believe in facts. I believe in verification and second sources. I've never been here to make a buck, but simply to contribute in any way I can. I also believe in being OPEN about things. I learned a long time ago that no one person has all the answers regarding the Cooper case. You do what you can, be honest, and hope through your efforts that someone else can add to that effort, or prove you wrong. After more than forty years since the hijacking, I see it as the only possible road. I also believe you should not be afraid of being proven wrong. In the case of Christiansen, should he be proven NOT to be the hijacker, this would simply eliminate one of the major suspects and we could move on. I am not afraid of that possibility because I know I generally did the best I could on that, and was as honest as possible during that effort. You can't do anything else. Not really. Otherwise, what's the point? For nearly three years you said the exact opposite and severely criticised anyone in your path. It's easy to say now. Are you asking forgiveness? Otherwise, you are still playing the pea and shell game. Who, what, and where is the real Blevins? (does it even matter)

Blevins, As you well know, you cannot prove a negative. Once the real Cooper is identified, all other suspects will be eliminated in one stroke and the whole Cooper matter will be over. I don't think I actually said for sure that KC saw that particular magazine. If I did, it must have been early-on in the investigation. This is what actually happened: One of the historians for NWA, as well as a couple of the guys stationed on Shemya told me this: That crews from Canada, Europe, and elsewhere, when they stopped on Shemya, made a habit of gleaning whatever reading material they happened to have on board...and left it for the 'poor saps' stationed on Shemya. This reading material ended up in the Day Room on Shemya, I was told, and the most popular of all were the comic books. No one claimed to have specifically seen the Cooper comics on Shemya. No one. At that time in the investigation, I didn't know much about the comics except I knew they had been going since at least the early 1950's. But I also knew KC had not been at Shemya after 1952. After that date, he went to a small island in the South Pacific where they did some of those atomic tests and took a job working as a telephone operator. No one knows exactly how long, (checking test records, they evacuated the island where he worked in 1954) but we know he returned to Seattle at some point and by 1957 he was back with NWA after some purser training. His name appears on some NWA flight plans running the Seattle/Shemya/Japan or Philippines routes starting in 1957. Later...I found out that the comic wasn't even created until 1954 or so...discounting the possibility that Kenny saw them on Shemya. He was gone by then. He served there from (approximately) 1947-1952. We do know that until NWA stopped using Shemya as a refueling stop, Kenny was still making visits there on his flights between Seattle and the Orient route stops. It's occurred to me he MAY have seen them on one of those stops, but without proof I kind of gave up chasing that one. Because of bad weather, sometimes the stops took longer than anticipated, and it wouldn't surprise me if Kenny occasionally hopped off to see the old place where he spent five years working. But as I said, there's still no proof he saw the comic there, or EVER saw it. In the Blast book, I said this about it: ***'This comic was linked by the F.B.I. as a possible clue to the choice of name used by the hijacker. Nothing has been proven on it one way or another. Even if the hijacker was inspired by the comic to use the name ‘Dan Cooper,’ unless the comic can be linked to a specific suspect, it remains only an interesting speculation...' Side Note: On Jo's post above concerning ML King and a rifle? I hope she's not trying to connect Duane's rifle to King. The rifle that killed King was recovered shortly after the shooting. It's okay to admit that you can't. I'm not going to go over the other areas of faulty logic that I pointed out since it's apparent that you quit reading once you thought you had to defend your KC Shemya account. Like I said -- if you had read it you would have seen that wasn't the point. The truth about the Shemya story is you didn't do your due diligence and you got caught up in the story and got carried away, jumped the gun and turns out you were wrong. We have National Guard guys that jump into the small confines of the City High football stadium every year. The stadium is in a small hollow surrounded by buildings and tress and power lines. They jump low and never miss their mark. So your basic claim is that he made a side trip sometime to Portland for the hijacking. This may or may not be true (Not Proven As Yet) but it's fair enough. I have seen your posts on the hotel clerk in Portland. And we all know that Richard McCoy hopped his flight in Denver, when he actually lived in Utah. I have the accounting of the stepchildren and the ex-wife of every step from that point on including addresses. After Jefferson they stayed in Ks and then went to CO where he was working and the wife was working (I have the names of the places they worked). For some reason the Missouri Feds came looking for him. They fled to N.Orleans and then to Mobile. It was during this time Duane was required to go to a NORTHERN state to give a deposition regarding something he never discussed - but, he had to meet with a journalist. When Camile came they fled to Atlanta and then bounced back and forth between N.C. and GA. I have the tax records and the employment records. Because someone is working in the State of N.C. they have to show residency or use a non-resident license. He requested to go to N.C. because a man was showing up in the Atlanta Office Duane who knew him as John Collins. Old friends told me about this.
