  1. I'm going to have to redirect this thread drift... Please stay on target. No need to go ballistic. At least he took a shot at it. Sure, go after the poor guy with both barrels... Hey, im not coming after him with both barrells blazing. And Im certainly not trying drop the hammer on him. I'm sure his aim was high. He just missed his target. Needs to take some time and unload.

  3. Agreed. But it's not a good idea to borrow money at a higher interest rate to pay off a debt at a lower rate.
  4. Well, you could try and talk a drug crazed crack-head or someone mentally ill out of killing you while waiting for the Police. I've seen this work on TV and in the movies many times.
  5. Oh, if it was supposed to sarcasm, you are then in favour of liability insurance on guns. Missed again. Care to go for 3 in a row or just quit while you are behind?
  6. Confused again, I see. You very likely missed the touch of sarcasm in my original post and the subsequent continuation. Other than missing that, I can't figure out what all your other rambling is about, but can only guess that somehow you think you have a point.
  7. i like your point and agree. i only commented because both of them made such definitive statements and that irks me. like most things, its a little more complicated. Just to set the record straight, I was asking a question to IBX, who lists his location as Germany. He made the original comment regarding "British Police".
  8. Right because they would have been far safer if they had been unarmed.
  9. Well, first they have to survive the hypothermia and starvation that the right wing wants to impose on them. It would be much easier if they didn't have to worry about the homeboys stealing their welfare checks. Kind of hard to pay for food and heat without it.
  10. His opponent is gunning for him. I think he really shot his chances.
  11. And how does making them pay for liability insurance to own a gun accomplish your goal? How do the poor benefit by being denied the righ and the means to defend themselves?
  12. Similar story. It ended with me taking my straight skis to a used sports equipment store. I got maybe 3 steps inside when the guy at the counter looked at my old (top of line - previously) skis and just said "don't bother, nobody will want those now". You know you got old when nobody even wants your old sports gear. I just took my old Rollerblades to Goodwill.
  13. Hold on, when liberals propose anything to help the poor, the answer is usually that the poor simply don't work hard enough and are lazy. What level has society sunk to when guns are seen as more important than education, food and health care? You think a law requiring the poor to purchase liability insurance to own a gun is helping them? Wow.....that's off the charts even for you. Should poor people be exempted from buying liability insurance for their cars? Should they be exempted from having to maintain their cars' brakes and steering in working order? What if they can't afford your gun liability insurance and as a result the murder rate goes thru the roof. You OK with that? Is that how you help someone?
  14. What more basic need than the ability to defend oneself, would you consider "general welfare"?

  16. When did I ever write that I want to ban guns? Your imagination is running away with you. Oh, that's right, you just want to make them too expensive for the people who need them the most, to be able to afford them. Same thing.
  17. In your zeal to ban guns you are proposing to make it too expensive for people of lesser means to have the ability to defend themselves. Glad you take the denial of such a basic human right so cavalierly. This is nothing more than a war on the poor.
  18. Haven't you claimed in the past that the government has a duty to provide for the "general welfare" of its citizens? I guess that belief stopped when it comes to actually helping them with purchasing something that would actually accomplish that goal, rather than just spending more money on food and healthcare. Do you know where most of the violent crime occurs? Yet you would deny someone the ability to defend themselves? Quite the Elite White Tower some live in.
