Burglars Hit Home of Gun Owner ID’d by Newspaper
Gravitymaster replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
Yeah, it's the guns fault. Not the newspapers for publishing the list. Yeah, that's it. -
Supreme Court to hear alleged OBAMA forgeries
Gravitymaster replied to OHCHUTE's topic in Speakers Corner
Yeah, they gotta figure out a way to get him, too. Maybe demonstrate he was part of the conspiracy. In fact, he might actually be the puppet master. -

Please don your asbestos suit. Firing to commence in 5...4...3...2... -
Just as news about a new parachute is of interest to skydivers but of no interest to the general population.

Gotta add the 69 Corvette as the 67-68 and 69 were nearly identical. I had a 69 Convertable with a rebuilt and modified LT-1 motor

America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership
Gravitymaster replied to airdvr's topic in Speakers Corner
And what a brilliant job he did...http://www.kgw.com/news/national/Feds-bailed-out-Romneys-2002-Winter-Olympics-163999746.html Did you read the article all the way through, or did you just read enough to think to yourself "here's a good slam on Romney"? If you did actually read it, did you understand the part where money was misspent before Romney took over? Did the article claim Romney forced the government to help get the Olympics back on sound financial footing? Did the fact that the Olympics occurred 5 months after the terrorist attack and that a complete failure at this time would have been devastating to the American psyche influence your thinking? Like any good businessman, Romney did what he had to do to accomplish his goal. While I am against government spending tax dollars on things like this, if there is any blame to be laid, it should fall on GWB, not Romney. -
Burglars Hit Home of Gun Owner ID’d by Newspaper

Let's get this straight: Your point is that the thieves used the list in the article to identify a house with a gun. Why? The only logical reason is that they wanted to steal a gun. In that case, the gun was directly responsible for the break-in. Therefore, in this case, the presence of the gun caused a crime to be committed. So lets get this straight. It's the automobile that is responsible for the accident, not the driver? See how dumb that sounds? -
America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership
Gravitymaster replied to airdvr's topic in Speakers Corner
Errrr.... Americans had that chance to hire a businessman. Remember that other guy in the last election? Slicked back hair, Bain Capital, Winter Olympics? -
That's why. All I was doing was posting pics and links, what's your problem? Not everyone likes junkers. A few of us love our American sportscars, I'm one of them. I don't have a problem. I was curious. No need to get your hackles up. Seems like the proper place for a discussion of cars is the Bonfire. Left wingers are more likely to buy Priuses and Volts. Right wingers are more likely to purchase Corvettes and Mustangs.

Not for the first time, I have no clue what you are talking about. Don This crowd is really slow. Didn't you just advocate using a firearm as a last resort?
-
I strongly agree with this statement, as there is nothing that you can do that is more serious and more irreversible than taking someone's life. It seems to me though that stand your ground laws negate this type of cautious thinking, as they remove the duty to de-escalate the situation. Also, Georgia (for one example) is a shall-issue state that does not require any training before issuing a carry permit. There is a background check, but no requirement that you demonstrate any knowledge of laws or proficiency. Smart people will get training anyway, of course. It's just not safe to assume a Georgian with a concealed weapon knows the law, or that they can hit the side of a barn. Don If a woman has the choice of either shooting the guy and killing him or sleeping with him and hoping by doing so he won't kill her, which would you recommend?

Spending s only a problem when Republicans are in the White House. Didn't you get the memo? -

Yeah, what a lazy good for nothing gun. If it had been doing it's job, it would have leaped out of that safe and began firing at the burglars. Probably one of those hoity toity snub noses. -
So the story is, he said something but nobody knows what he said? Must be a very slow day for news.
-
Yep, like skydiving. I mean what's so hard? You jump, pull the cord and land.

"The Buck Stops Here" seems to have gone out of favor with right wingers. Funny that you don't have the same standard for Left-Wingers in the government. Of course, government and coporations do not operate the same way. Something an undergraduate college student would/should know.

http://www.nbcnews.com/business/cadillac-ats-named-car-year-ram-1500-truck-year-1B7951300 General Motors Corp's Cadillac ATS, a new compact sedan aimed at the popular BMW 3 Series, was named 2013 North American Car of the Year by a jury of automotive writers. Chrysler's Ram 1500 pickup, which was extensively redesigned for model year 2013, was named North American Truck/Utility of the Year. Finalists for Car of the Year included the redesigned Honda Accord and Ford Fusion sedans. Truck/Utility of the Year finalists included the new Mazda CX-5 and the Ford C-Max crossovers.

I understand perfectly. To put the blame solely on Whitman as the OP suggested is disingenuous at demonstrates a rudimentary understanding on how corporate decisions are made.
-
You do realize Whitman did not become CEO until late September 2011, right? You do realize the decision on Palm was made before that by Léo Apotheker. You also know Autonomy misrepresented it financial condition, right?
-
So she because she wasn't able to perform a miracle her first year, she shouldn't receive any bonus money? Did you bother to do any research to see what policies she might have put in place that might just take a while to produce some measurable results? Do you expect someone to turn a huge company like HP around in one year? If this had been a male, would you have the same attitude? More left wing war on women. Maybe she should have just stayed at home where she belongs. Nonsense. She's a disaster, and a poster child for what is wrong with American companies right now. Stick with physics and teaching children. Leave the business world to the adults. Business is way more complicated when you have factions within a BOD that have varying loyalties. In addition, a CEO has do deal with the talent drain brought on by previous CEO's going back to 2009. Whitman has started to get HP back on track. They are improving their computer division, have moved into tablets and will be expanding their presence in corporate cloud computing. Expecting massive changes overnight, when it took years to get to the point HPwas at before Whitman is like blaming GWB for all our financial woes. Why don't you give Whitman the same degree of patience you give Obama? You don't really need to answer that question, we know the answer.
-
The Palm deal and the decision to sell off their PC division was not made by Whitman, it was made by Apotheker. Looks like you need to follow HP a little closer if you didn't even know this.

They will figure out a way. Just watch and see.

I got it. Doesn't change my response.
