Pretty stupid decision by the casting director. I'm sure there are a lot of Republicans, Conservatives and former military, regardless of party affiliation, who will not pay to see the movie because they detest Fonda for her support of the NVA. It really has nothing to do with her acting ability. Jane Fonda has suffered her entire life due to her controversial stand against the U.S.

yep, this is just like the birther nonsense. Harvard Law isn't like Alabama or Florida State. They don't have athletes of marginal education to admit and coddle. They certainly aren't going to pick such a person to head the Harvard Law Review. Same is true for U of Chicago. This is a world renowned school - they're not going to cheapen their reputation hiring a lecturer (not Professor, mind you) of low quality. It's fair game, and quite appropriate, to attack the man for his lack of experience. It shows often. But you're only making an ass of yourself when trying to suggest the man isn't intelligent and well educated. I think you make an ass of yourself when you make claims about his grades that you can't support and comments about whether or not he was pushed along when you have no idea if they are factual. It is also very obvious to most that I was simply speculating. truth is neither you or I know for sure. I was just more honest in my opinion.

For all we know, he was pushed thru college with lousy grades in the same way many atheletes are. Could have been because he was black and they needed more minorities as College Professors. Just sayin'.

I doubt when he made that choice he ever dreamed the Congress-critters and the President would enhance the possibility he can't get a fair trial. Since many of them are lawyers, I can't imagine what they were thinking when they spoke out so vociferiously.

It would be nearly impossible for Zimmerman to get a fair trial even if he is indicted. The Press and the Poverty Pimps have assured that.

I don't think these sentences mean what you think they mean. So substitute 'overcome' for 'stimulate'. I think it's pretty obvious what his point was...that the Dems will use any trail to stir up the voters and get them to the polls. it's still fails any sort of logic. Obama: Black voters, see how bad our government is...the cops let this honky get away with murdering one of our lads. Participate in government to fix this. angry black voters: huh? You want us to help you assholes kill even more of us? Why did you let him get away, you uncle Tom. fuck you, I'm not voting. More like: Democrats: "If Republicans are elected, more black teenagers will be murdered and their killers will get away with it". They are already predicting more people will die in tornados, old people will starve to death etc if Republicans are elected..

Can you explain why DC has never had anything but a Democrat Mayor? How about why DC has never gone for a Republican President? I'm not arguing with your contention that they prefer black candidates, I'm arguing that Obama would have won DC just as easily if he was white or asian or hispanic, by virtue of that (D). Blues, Dave Why did Obama win overwhelmingly over Hillary Clinton in DC? 75.33% to 23.77%? For the same reason he beat her in Idaho, 79.5% to 17.2% Blues, Dave Because by May 2008 Obama had the election pretty well locked up. Same reason Romney will win the rest of the Republican primaries by larger margins.

Wow, the fact that you think that is pretty sad. Is that also why they voted for Kerry, and Clinton, and Dukakis? Blues, Dave Dude, you haven't got a clue. Barry represents the poorest, most uneducated ward in DC. I have lived in this area most of my life and have spend a lot of time in his ward dealing with his constituents. They are mostly honest people but if you ask most of them why they vote for him, they will tell you because "he's done so much for them" When you ask what, you will not get a coherent answer. His constituents are no better than the white racists that used to run DC 50 years ago. And yes, they supported him blindly and nearly unanamously, over Hillary Clinton.

He can do no wrong in their eyes. lol - How did Obama get into this conversation, merely for being a black politician? The same people who voted for Nixon will also vote for Romney, so he must be crooked? Blues, Dave They vote for him because they are mainly poor, uneducated blacks living in the inner city and would never vote for a white politician over Barry under any cicumstances. His comments about Asians reflect the racial bias of his supporters. Substitute blacks for Asians and then imagine them coming out of a white politicians mouth. In short, they vote for him mainly becasue he's black. Same with Obama.

Why do people keep giving that loser a platform? didn't he win Mayor one more time after that? but in any event, being a city councilmember doesn't strike me as remotely high profile. It's more a sad indictment on the voters that keep giving him work. That's because you don't live in DC. Barry is still very much a big fish in a little pond. His supporters are mainly elderly blacks who remember him back in the 1960's and 1970's when he was very much in the center of the civil rights struggle. They appreciate all he did for them and they will support him as long as he wants to run for any office.
