  1. Your ability to misunderstand is a bit breath-taking. The money Georgia spent was to give them data to defend against lawsuits that they knew would surely follow passage of this law. It does not mean this would be an ongoing expense. But I get it. Since the Pro-Voter Fraud crowd's argument that this would disenfranchise minority and poor voters was obliterated in this study, they have to find some other argument to hide the fact that they want illegals to be able to vote for Democrats. Did you miss this part? Pretty much shuts down that claim, wouldn't you agree?
  2. I'm in with that, as long as it's with hard labor.
  3. So how much in taxes are you willing to spend on this non problem? I'm pretty sure you're aware of our trillion dollar deficit and I believe you'd like to pay less in taxes, not more. This fits into the category of "pet project" spending. It took us 9 years in Afghanistan to kill OBL. Are you suggesting we should start 9 year wars in every nation that houses an asshole we don't like and has tried to pull shit against our interests? How much are you willing to pay on that front? You ask: "Why does everything have to be a problem before we do something about it?" That sounds like a Democrat talking...the answer is that we don't have the money to deal with the known problems, let alone the hypothetical threats. Right, because the cost of requiring someone to have ID in order to vote is equivalent to 9 years of war.
  4. Why does everything have to be a problem before we do something about it? If Clinton had done something about OBL BEFORE 911, we wouldn't have had 3000 people die. Does an intersection have to have a few crashes before a traffic light is installed? I posted a lonk earlier showing over 200 convictions for voter fraud in MInnisota, FYI which the pro-voter fraud crowd ignored.
  5. This is my basic point. Make getting a "voter-qualified" govt photo ID (a) very easy and (b) 100% free, and my objection will shrink to the size of Rush Limbaugh's dick. Let's employ some of your self-professed intellectual honesty and call this what it is. You want illegals to be able to vote because they generally vote for Democrats. Need a hanky?
  6. Like unions and other folks getting waivers, or like the religious exception that's *NOT* being granted? So we're getting close finally - everyone asks for "special rights," not just the evil Lefties. Where did I make that claim, pray tell? you didn't, Gravitymaster did. But you were happy to insert yourself into the topic...surely you read the context when you did? Which you then twisted and turned to make it fit your template. If you go back and read what I said, I was referring to special laws to protect someone for being a "Consrvative". It was in response to gays demanding special laws to protect them because they are gay. I would normally say nice try but in this case, it wasn't.
  7. Man fatally shoots man but isn’t charged Updated: Monday, 09 Apr 2012, 6:42 PM EDT Published : Monday, 09 Apr 2012, 6:05 PM EDT By Tiffany Teasley FOX 35 News LAKE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Lake County Sheriff's deputies say Gregory Gayle, 27, was shot and killed inside his Leesburg home by his sister's fiancé, but the shooter, Jakob Penrod, is not behind bars under Florida's Stand Your Ground law. "We took the evidence, the physical evidence that was present at the scene, the injuries that Penrod had on his face, and everything point to Gayle being the primary aggressor and that this was an act of self defense," said Lt. John Herrell with the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say the two men knew each other and both lived in the home where the shooting happened, officers also documented the shooter's visible injuries to his face in police reports -- neighbors can't help but make the connection to Trayvon Martin. "With the Trayvon case, and now this is another self defense case" said Diane Chidster, a neighbor. Deputies say the shooter barricaded himself and his pregnant fiancé inside this home before the shooting happened, which they say goes above and beyond the requirements of stand your ground. "Stand your ground provides that one does not have to retreat when they are faced with imminent death or great bodily harm, but in this case Penrod, he actually did retreat, and he didn't have to, he went into the bathroom with his pregnant fiancé and barricaded themselves in there and was doing what he could to avoid having to use deadly force," Herrell said. The stand your ground law is getting a lot of attention since the Martin case. "I believe in stand your ground law, I don't have any problem with it," said Dwight, another neighbor. Lt. Herrell with Lake County Sheriff's Office says stand your ground cases are rare in Lake County since the law went into effect seven years ago. "This will be the 4th case here in Lake County that we've seen where the shooter is not charged because the evidence showed that is was self-defense," Herrell said. Fox 35 spoke with Penrod on the phone, but he said he was too upset to go on camera; the sheriff's office is now forwarding the case to the state attorney's office. 8. Keep in mind, this is the party of the Black Panthers, The Weather Underground, Bill Ayres, The KKK, George Zimmerman, Jerimiah Wright, Louis Farakkan etc.
  9. The contention that there are these massive number of poor without ID is also a specious argument. http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2012/03/lessons-from-the-voter-id-experience-in-georgia
  10. That would smack of retaliation against a guy revealing an inconvenient truth. A bit heavy handed, no? What happened to free speech? And besides, he didn't commit the felony, just demonstrated that he could. It's not a free speech issue. Journalist (and O'Keefe is a questionable one at best) are not protected in the commission of crimes while researching stories. He did, in fact, commit a crime by misrepresenting himself to a voting official. No he didn't. He went in and simply asked if they had an Eric Holder registered. The person at the voting place then took it upon themselves to "assume" he was Eric Holder. He never claimed to be and he never voted.
  11. Do you think that if Obamacare is instituted that ID will be required? Do you think the poor will just forgo "free" healthcare because they are incapable of securing ID?
  12. Why? Did they have something to do w/ Zimmermann being in charge of neighborhood watch? They named him in a newsletter as the man to talk to about problems. I wonder how much the fact that he wasn't on duty that night and in fact was on a personal errand would effect their liability?
  13. We'll need it, after all the tired arguments about "it's *really* just racism". This would be pretty damned funny if it wasn't for the fact that it was the left-wing that was claiming massive voter fraud in Florida during the election in 2000. Back then they screamed that the election had been stolen due to voter fraud. Now it's no big deal. I wonder how the psuedo-intellectually honest among us would react if their candidate lost by a few votes that were later discovered to be fraudulent? http://www.electionintegritywatch.com/documents/2011-Report-Voter-Fraud-Convictions.pdf Yep, no problem here.
  14. I believe he would have needed to break the law first. What would really be awesome is if we had the same standard for voting as we have for Obamacare. Unless you think some ID isn't going to be required.
  15. You almost had me convinced, but then I saw you didn't refute anything at all, and I concluded I won the argument. Why bother refuting it? You have your mind made up. Enjoy the blissfulness of your ignorance. Perhaps a pat on the back is in order?
  16. Some reading for you. http://press.uchicago.edu/Misc/Chicago/306623.html
  17. I think you are out of gas here. Might as well admit you are wrong and move along. Your claims are starting to border on the lame and pathetic.
  18. I don't know if they are or are not. From my own experiences, I would say no. Do you have some proof they are the majority?
  19. You really have trouble seperating Consrvative and Christians, don't you?
  20. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has declared that there is no proof that in-person voter fraud is a problem. He's about to see proof that even he can't deny. In a new video provided to Breitbart.com, James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas demonstrates why Holder should stop attacking voter ID laws--by walking into Holder’s voting precinct and showing the world that anyone can obtain Eric Holder’s primary ballot. Literally. The video shows a young man entering a Washington, DC polling place at 3401 Nebraska Avenue, NW, on primary day of this year--April 3, 2012--and giving Holder’s name and address. The poll worker promptly offers the young man Holder’s ballot to vote. The young man then suggests that he should show his ID; the poll worker, in compliance with DC law, states: “You don’t need it. It’s all right. As long as you’re in here, you’re on our list, and that’s who you say you are, you’re okay.” The young man replies: “I would feel more comfortable if I just had my ID. Is it alright if I go get it?" The poll worker agrees. "I’ll be back Faster than you can say Furious,” the young man jokes on his way out, in a reference to the Fast and Furious gunwalking scandal that has plagued Holder’s Department of Justice. Holder has maintained that voter fraud is not a major problem in the United States, and that voter ID would not curb voter fraud in any case. As Project Veritas has proven, voter fraud is easy and simple--and may be increasingly common in the absence of voter ID laws. Project Veritas has already shown how dead people can vote in New Hampshire, prompting the state senate to pass a voter ID law; they’ve also shown people can use celebrity names like Tim Tebow and Tom Brady to vote in Minnesota, prompting the state legislature to put voter ID on the ballot as a constitutional amendment.
  21. So you are contending that Holidays like Christmas are a result of Conservative Christians? Are you freakin serious? Have you never heard of a liberal Christian? Jesus was a liberal, you know.
  22. Except of course it would be a race Slaughter as blacks are by far the minority and underarmed. You do realize that one of them is a Cherokee Indian, don't you? Oh, crap, that should present quite the connundrum for you to pigeonhole a reason.
  23. www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4289190 And I quote you from te second post. Believing in the existence of the illusive homosexual agenda is a common symptom of the condition homophobia vulgaris. Sure it's not proof you're a homophobe but it's the most plausible explanation for that post. I've been posting here for over 11 years and that's all you got?? ha ha ha ha .... Nice try. Good thing you aren't a lawyer, you would be laughed out of the Courtroom. I think an apology is in order. As I have said, I really don't care what gets you off. Live and let live.
