  1. No, it was a response from Romney because of the morons who were making a political issue about Romney letting his dog ride on the roof of his car. They even formed a group called "Dogs Against Romney" Didn't read the link I posted, huh?
  2. Perhaps whites are falsely arrested more often that blacks in order to meet some type of quota.
  3. Except that is not a fact. Many people truly believe they get wonderful and honest news from them. Nope, they feel they get news AND commentary more aligned with their views. I have never heard anyone in authority at Fox deny a bias. I have heard many at the alphabet networks deny it, however. I know that in your perfect world, news organizations would present all sides of an issue. Question is, how many sides does an issue have? Do you give air time to even the most far out wacky views? Where do you draw the line? Who gets to decide where that line is?
  4. I think we are on to something here. I'm thinking we should also cut the amount of money available for student loans. The readily available money has caused college educational costs to skyrocket. We could invest the 100's of $billions saved to help pay down the deficit and the debt. Lets start dictating what colleges can charge, too.
  5. It just doesn't get any better than this. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/04/obama-as-a-boy-ate-dog-meat/
  6. What about socialized education where all college professors are paid the same? We could make it a scale like a government employee. It would really help bring educational costs down.
  7. I think a little jail time, reparations to the tax payers and a few hundred hours of community service for a first time offender would be appropriate.
  8. Great, so we now have you on record as having no problem with the NBPP putting bounties on American citizens as long as Obama doesn't accept their endorsement but hoping Nugent dies. ***I hope he does end up dead or in jail. More peace and love from the left.
  9. Yeah, let's investigate Nugent and completely ignore the New Black Panther Party for putting out $10,000 bounties on American citizens. Gotta have priorities.
  10. What he is aware of, and what Fox claims ("Fair and Balanced") are NOT the same thing. Fox's claim is simply untrue. Out of gas again so you have to change what I said? I said Fox does not hide the fact they are biased. The fact that everyone knows they are makes it apparent they don't hide it. You would do well to start paying attention.
  11. Not surprising you are invoking Godwin. It's all you have left anyway. Yes, let's collect ALL overdue taxes. Doesn't matter if it's the military.
  12. Which is different from Sen. Brown's bill, how? Do you even read posts before you respond? The Buffet Rule is pure political class warfare. The Josef Goebbels debate tactic, accuse your opponent of what you do yourself. The class warfare is taxing the very rich at a rate lower than the middle class. The Buffett rule is an attempt to fix that. It's a Band-Aid fix, but a fix nonetheless. Hey, I have a great idea. How about we quit pissing away away hundreds of $Billions on "alternative energy" companies. The amount we could collect from the rich is dwarfed by the amout we piss away on Solar Energy Companies. I find it amazing how "seemingly" intelligent people can't see the Buffet Rule as anything more than feel-good, class warfare, during an election year.
  13. Really? Title of this thread says nothing about Income Taxes. More than one way to Re-Distribute Income. Every American of working age knows what April 15th is. Keep dancing. he pointed out the obvious here. Sales taxes are redistribution, it's a regressive tax. Social Security, otoh, is effectively progressive - the lower contributors take a higher return then the highest contributors. Gas taxes - regressive. Cigarrette taxes - highly regressive. Of course there are a myriad of other way taxes are collected. But this is the day I have chosen to celebrate.
  14. I think it was a very appropriate response.
  15. Yeah, but what they are doing is already against the law. What ever happened to enforcing the laws that already exist instead of adding new ones? At least the Buffet Rule modifies the tax code. Brown's law apparently just makes tax evasion extra-super wrong, instead of just extra wrong. And I bet it will cost more than it produces. Talk about feel good BS. So if it costs more to enforce speeding laws than the revenue it produces, your recommendation is to not try and enforce speeding laws? Do you realize how dumb that sounds?
  16. Right, Brown's bill adds additional reporting and monitoring requirements, and will likely cost more to implement than it collects. Very smart, and totally apolitical. And you base this on what?
  17. So let me see if I understand you. Are you saying you were unaware that Fox News leans right?
  18. Which is different from Sen. Brown's bill, how? Do you even read posts before you respond? The Buffet Rule is pure political class warfare. Browns bill actually addresses a problem with those who like to vote on bills like the Buffet Rule but don't like to pay their own income taxes. It also sets up for collection, those who are required to file disclosures. If we would start actually using the tax collection resources we already have instead of constantly looking for new ways to wage class envy, then we might be able to pay for things politicians like to spend money on.
  19. Hopefully, but I seriously doubt it, you realize that the Buffet Rule would do very little to increase revenues to the Treasury. It's main purpose was for political purposes for the upcoming campaign. It's just the latest example of class warfare and obviously enough politicians had the intellect to see it for what it was and the fortitude to vote against it.
  20. You must have spent hours composing that one. Attaboy. Yeah, probably about as much time as you did for your "We need more laws" post. Had you said "We don't need more laws, we need to enforce the ones we already have" it would have been a more coherent message. Of course, this is what we have come to expect from the legal profession.
  21. I think the mantra "We need more laws" is one constantly barfed out by lawyers. Of course, most of our politicians are lawyers, so no surprise there.
