  1. But your little cry for the job of doing the next west coast video has landed you the postion....... See you soon. Ed Ok but its gonna cost you some wine (not whine),...... and hold the chickens.
  2. You are only saying that because the west coast is still behind on a few videos almost 10 months, and they probably won't be as good as Matt's. I vote give the guy some breathing room so he won't do a rush job. Schedule the release to just before FnD 3.5 so that everybody is mega pumped to attend. But what do I know I never get invited to do videos.
  3. Some people from Headcorn(My home DZ ) went to Perris for a week atleast a month ago. According to them, Jeb and Luigi were jumping wingsuits together the whole time. Kris. Exactly my point, I guess they just do it quietly.
  4. > Probably because he was a tad busy making his 10 wingsuit jumps every single day. How do any of you know that Jeb and Lou were not doing 10 wingsuit jumps a day in preparation for this stunt going back a few months? Its not like they are wage slaves chained to a 9 to 5 like most of us. they could easily make X number of jumps a day.
  5. My dad stopped dreaming, he died shortly thereafter but not before he told me not to stop dreaming. You can change it for another dream but never stop completely.
  6. You can hold a 55-60 mph avge in an original Birdman S.U.I.T. the predecessor to the Birdman Classic Also there was a guy named Bobby P at Raeford DZ that had a WAY lower average speed than I ever could get on my S.U.I.T. I think he was in the 20's. Additionally Sky Monkey Can verify Bobby P's record... I can get 53-52 consecutive repeatable averages in my old classic, so what. I still couldn't keep up forward with 50% of the flocks from a year ago. Two years ago a classic would have been plenty.
  7. It may be more then 10%, but show me an event video with people flocking at max from start to end, and I'll try and agree with you for once..(and even then I'll disagree..just to annoy you) You can't possibly annoy me. You are weak sauce! And I'm not talking max flocking. If I only had a classic to play with last year I would have been left in the dust on more than 50% of all of the flocks I participated in and that just does not have to be. Granted Purple Mike's tiny bones or people built like him would not have suffered so. But I'm more along the size of Chuck B and a few inches taller. So guys are getting better and the new purchases are along the lines of Phantoms or ACROs which have tons more to offer fledgling flockers and satisify the skilled. Its getting almost impossible for classics to keep up and I can't tell you the last time someone was excited about their new Classic or GTI purchase. All of the new stuff gives you more to start is easier to learn on plus room to grow, with or without wooden shoes. Even if its an old S-3 from the classifieds.
  8. 90% of all the skydives done in groups could be flown in a classic by most people if they focussed more on their own skills instead of what suit they fly. That statement just isn't true anymore hero, at least not out here. And with more than 12 different factory offerings that pretty much provide much more it just does not have to be. Notice the used price of a good condition S-3 now is below the cost of the new classics from back when. The S-3 is the new starter suit nowadays bro. At least on the classifieds. A lot of the newer "general purpose" suits actually have much more to offer than the "high performance" suits of two years ago. It seams like they play nice with newbies and kick ass in the right hands.
  9. Since Primary BMIs put fresh jumpers on S3, Not common but it has happened. Just a guess
  10. Which trim do you have on your lightning? Steep or not so steep?
  11. Is it for symmetry? Just curious... thanks -A Exactly. Barrel rolls on deployment are bad.
  12. so I didn't opt for the Argon or Krypton gas between the double panes. ltdiver That inert gas thing is kind of a rip off. It does not really stay in there. You will be fine with the tightness compared to your old pains.
  13. The other manufacturers don't have waivers, just better flying wingsuits. ( its raining here I couldn't resist, sorry)
  14. Sounds good Shane should I bring the jet with me?
  15. if there actually are 3 or even more than 3 SoCal birds you really should make it out there. I know there are way more "suits" in the socal. They just seem to never actively winging it simultaneously.
  16. Bump, Anybody planning on coming out to welcome Jeff and or maybe fly some flockage bigger than a three way? Elsinore or Perris? Anyone, anyone, bueller?
  17. In a comparison between my backvented s3, production s3 and matter when I owned them the matter fell somewhere between the other two in backfly capability. Real close to the backvented S3. One of my buddies @ San Diego would back fly the matter magnificently the entire flight. Not too shabby for passive vents. Of course the the Acro surpasses all of the above and is our choice of backfly or batics of any kind these days.
  18. actually jump the things. Repetition breeds confidence, first-hand knowledge, ability, and ,ultimately, maximum performance. And not to mention those thingys are hard as hell to manufacture, anybody building a decent one today has miles of stitches in experience behind a sewing machine making regular suits. I've done a few small WS patch jobs and my hat is off to the makers.
  19. (without back venting). It definitely flys differently than my other suits, Chuck Those holes were the suit eats the laterals are back vents
  20. still have hair on your head can you come to this event? You should come to this event! You will like the flights and the people.
  21. I don't even have a wingsuit...... Kris. You must leave this forum and report to the RW forum immediately. I want an essay on "meeker" and what booties were for originally before you will be allowed to return.
  22. Now backflying for distance; I would REALLY love to participate in that one. Carefull that sounds like something a stinky freeflyer would do.
  23. That makes sense since it isn't the hybrid but the owner replaced the center A lines with dacron. Thanks Saskia.
  24. It was $20 entry, he'll get over it Mine was a joke too, Ed.
