Magnetic slider stops// Hand tack slider to canopy
VectorBoy replied to N24's topic in Gear and Rigging
I do exactly that on my CReW lightning, world of difference. Tip provided to me by Base guys where it is common. -
Not enough nickel in the casting, 100k is thought to be a full lifetime for domestic vehicles. Most people would buy a new one after that many miles and the ones that were intent on keeping it could pay a grand for a rebuild, not counting the cost of removal and installation. All of these variables are factored in with businesses like taxi and shuttle vans.

Instead of flying after the appointed flock leader some jumpers take a tag you are it now I'm the leader. It can get dynamic with heading and pitch changes. Combat tracking. The new leader flips over on his back and tries to evade oncoming taggers with heading changes.

You know if Chuck thinks the Phatom is the best general purpose he may love this one more.
-
When will you have your demo? I need to try one!
-
I wish I could jump with someone that would try to stay with me while I tracked as hard as I could. Assign a lead on the tracking jump, take grips on them, go over -go under, swap sides and get grips there. Have them change heading smoothly and the rest follow along. Change things up try to avoid any static position for too many jumps, including your solo tracking jumps.

That happened to a buddy of mine on a great wall near malaysia. His head looked like scanners with all of the sea life divebombing it from out of the wall. Chummers.

You are not a sad mofo,Scott

They are real but the drive shaft has been disconnected from the transfer case permanently so now they are more festive and less biological in purpose......drop it like its hot.

Bump it up! Forget the FnD that was so last month. Forget the skillz camp, We got skillz plenty. We don't need an AN2 to flock. Forget the wedding party, we will have a party! Who is coming? I better see Paul, Bob, Tony and Scott from the No West there. Jimmy Keen I know you got sick time on the books. Any Oregon birds? If the Lodi Crew manages to pull off a tight base while playing grab ass and you are not there to see will you be a sad mofo? See it live!

How about Tiger or Mako?

About the Good deal. Earlier this year good clean S3s were for sale in the classifieds for $800 on average. For whatever reason a few months later that same average for S3s came down to $600. We are talking the span of 2 months literally. Will you do the required 100+ jumps in a month, two months or a year from now? A year from now I bet you will be able to get a deal on a clean used but currently as of yet to be released PF flocking suit which I can guarantee would be easier to learn on and will offer you better general purpose performance, flocking ability, inverted capability than the 4 year old S3. A year from now you will get great deals on Mach 1s, vampires and phacros when the companies release the Mach 5, the Vampire fang and the EG supersport......not really but get my drift.

Very nice! Is the red suit the new one from Sfly?
-
How good is the good deal? How good are you? This is the unknown factor. For a lot of us wingsuits are nylon crack. We can dedicate funds to a wingsuit ( or several) and jump it primarily and regularly. For others its just..... eh kinda cool... to do sometimes but way down the list of jumps to do and gear to get. Its hard to justify when a wingsuit costs almost as much as a new canopy. You won't know what type you will be until after your first jump. If you are in the wrong suit for your first jump you probably won't die but it might have a profound effect on which category of wingsuiter you will become. And nobody here can even remotely answer that question for you.

Roger that skipper.

In my head the first idea I was thinking that since im last out and had horizontal seperation already I thought that staying within sort of the same area would work; thanks for pointing out it wouldn't. Actually at most Dzs it actually would. Being last out and taking the jump run out a little longer, coupled with modern suits, you and the jump plane have the local skies to yourselves ( theoretically ). With the high performance of the newer designs even the tandems are below your deployment altitude before you can get near them, unless you dive down to them. Where it won't work is busy multi plane DZs, worse if they have multiple simultaneous jump runs as this limits your lateral offset capability. In this situation the more performing modern suits can be a liability to following jumpcraft. A big Eloy type boogie would be a prime example of this.

I'll send you mine once Robi ships it. Ed Do you think you will have it before the big weekend captain stealthy?
-
About the new PF flockingsuit? Spill it! Even if you are bound by a confidentiality agreement. Tell me stories, show me pictures. I must know now before the factories are burdened with heavy summer orders for new suits.

No secret projects here - my #1 project is trying to be good Mommy to my 10 mo. old daughter . Karin PS: I hope you didn't think that I added the F-word to Sara's name - I was trying to quote someone else's quote. I think Sara is a doll. I think Sara is a fucking doll! I know its not your quote but I like it. My secret projects comment is strictly tongue and cheek. It needs to emphasized that the wingsuit culture down here is a pretty loose band between a handfull of different dropzones with no central prefered gathering point. It would be really hard to tally up who is flocking here or there with any accuracy or if they were up to something special.

Is this the first Hybrid thread? As in controversy in two separate forums?

The last wingsuit jump I made at Perris was with Jeb, Tim & Sarah
-
Chuck here is a cut and paste of what I said in a few PMs. But I will admit its second hand info relayed as I wasn't on the DZ during any flockage of late. We actually flock at a bunch of different DZs. I Have yet to meet anybody else in Sara's flock due to different DZs. I was not defending anybody per se but just pointing out some facts. "That statement about the number of jumps that lou has may have been true a few seasons back but it seems that a lot of the local Perris high profile guys like lou, Eli and Swanson have been hitting the wingsuits pretty hard lately." "I'm sure if I would have been on the DZ the days that these guys were flocking I would have been welcomed on their flights

WHOA, nobody has ever accused me of having vision.

In my definition/guestimate Jeb probably has minimum 6~800 wingsuit skydives, possibly many more. Wingsuit base I have no clue. Shit, his sidekick Rigby probably has more wingsuit skydives than I do, and I have a video verifiable "metric" butt ton of wingsuit skydives. But the three of us should proceed with caution as neither of us are.... BIRDMAN INSTRUCTORs. Chickens to this, I say.
