Can someone knowledgeable about electricity explain something to me?
VectorBoy replied to Twoply's topic in The Bonfire
The way you die quickly from electrical shock is that it interupts your hearts electrical rthym. Your heart stops beating litterally. Normally we can take a little shocking here and there because of the resistance of our skin and shoes ecetera. In the bathtub all bets are off. You have enough power and no resistance as the water conducts and your whole house plumbing system is grounded = no resistance and full power way more than enough. -
You like to fly inverted a lot are you sure it wasn't a 1:7 glide ratio?

Sad guys, Sunday found just two of us WS pilots on every other back to back, very light ( fathers day ) otter loads. The sky to ourselves weaving back through plenty-a-tandem under uber blue skies, just like in my avitar but with a whole lot more bright sunlight with the bonus of getting shit gobs more glide than either the blade or the M1 . Sad part was there wasn't the usual number of WS out to enjoy it with us. Real quality type jumps if you know what I mean. You guys want the number of my real estate agent?

Careful with that option it could have devastating effects at altitude. explosive decompression and cabin bulkhead shredding projectiles.

if you have a spare one and are willing to sell (WR lines preferred but no must), Also referred/ better known as the sequential trim.

Have chosen= the V2.

Even I have trouble floating slowly in a V2 if its a flock that just doesn't go anywhere. The V2 will strain you if you are in a max flight for sure. There is a relatively easier static position thats efficient and gives much better glide than most suits without max flight muscle burn out but nothing burns me out more than contorting my upper body to exagerate the camber to fly more slowly than my body in that suit will fly at........and for me flying slowly isn't fun.

I only do that in the plane, not during flight. Its pretty pukered down there just look at the shadow in my avitar. Its an innie for sure.

Hijackers!...... This isn't a gay blade thread. Its the M1 new leg wing thread. I was just curious because of the incredible glide ratio. Haven't seen one in person yet. Go bash the blade somewhere else. Yah Gay bashers.

I think this is it.... fabulous!

A few people complained about not being able to flock easily in a V2. What is the characteristic of the V2 that makes flocking in the suit a pain? Kris. It depends, if you are a lightweight the Vampire can be flown slowly a little bit easier. But the suit was never designed to hang back and float it was designed to fly from lift generated by speed. To fly slow you need to increase the camber or the armwing, the more you are loading it the more camber is needed. This can add strain and instability. But if you flock where everyone is in Vampires then you get the picture.

Here is some math for you: the best 3 Vampire pilots i know presently fly at roughly 0.5 L/D better than Robi's (and yours) comp flights. That, Jeff, is a HUGE difference. If you look at an average between top 3 Vampire pilots (or top 5 if you wish) and top 3 or 5 M1 pilots, the difference will be closer to 1! It is incredibly big differencebsbd! Yuri. I would like to see where Lodi's french secret weapon falls in line with the top vampire pilots. He is like 7 foot tall. Even when another competitor attached a base PC to his ankles to as a handicap he still won.

Yeah, yeah I remember that : tapping your chi. It was on the last page of the original birdman instructor manual. I accidentally washed mine and don't have it available for reference.

Can anyone post pictures of the new wings inflation method. Close ups of the vents, upper and lower.

It was the design of the suit that makes it possible to fly for 3 and a half minutes without getting that tired. I set out to design a suit that I felt everyone would fly. At the time I didn't care about better performance it just went in that direction almost on its own.
-
If you're simply after the answer to "whats the best suit?" it's simple, the one you own What if you don't own one? What if you own several?
-
6 is more than 5 foo!
-
And the 3 to 5% performance differences in all the top of the line suits wil always be this hot a debate.. ... I have seen, on average, although not always, differences of more than 5%.

There was only 2 flocks done before the comp Glen... Now that's funny..... Be safe Ed Of course I just hope the frenchmen finds it as funny.

Back in the day some of us that were happy with our outdated S3 type suits for several years.........waited quite a while before upgrading to vampires. Reasoning was to watch and see not what just a few phenoms of great physical attributes and skinny body types could do ( as we are not ) in a particular suit. But instead to see what a larger number of the average build pilot could do. Before I ever jump on the M1 bandwagon I would have to hold the same judgment in reserve until I could see what a larger group of average flockers could do in one compared to other suits. Exhaustion could have had a factor in the outcome in the Z-flock contest. For example in the Lodi contest that flight was held in the afternoon not the morning when everyone was fresh. Some of top contenders were flying less strainfull suits during the flocking and only brought out the vampires for the glide contest. I flocked the whole day in my Vampire for the shear practice of flocking a vampire as we don't get to do that much in larger groups. I'm fairly confident that if the event would have been held earlier in the day I could have taken the crown and cash from the french bandit who one it..............Not!

And be carefull how you put that on, it could look like you are doing something else.

You sure it wasn't pilot error? Be safe Ed Let me correct that statement= without "great" backflight inflation. I'm possitive all lack of capability was due to pilot.
