How dare you criticize our government's war on terror! Would you rather just wait until the terrorists kill another 3000 people before you 'allow' the government to protect you? What will you tell the families of those people? Besides, closing all the small airports in this country affects only pilots and skydivers, and they're a tiny percentage of the population. Who cares about their rights when there are people living in fear? Something must be done, even if it might be wrong! The war on terror works like this Bill, tons of bombs and destruction over there so we can enjoy aviation freedoms over here. Thats just business buddy. That mayor is suffering from the n.i.m.b.y. syndrome and not trying to protect us. Carefull your DZ otter skippers may just lynch you up if you keep talking this way. Glen

PS: It's all well and good to bash others online but it has hit close to home for me as a Canadian. Recently, a client of mine who was visiting Grand Forks had his windows busted out. So too were all the other cars with Manitoba plates. The Daks aren't quit right in the head. I think they do that to everybody that doesn't have either ND or MN plates. Gotta be one of the warmest places I've ever been forced to serve at gun point. I get wood everytime elforko grande gets taken out in a war game simulation in the movie war games. Fargo has way better public relations gene. Now that the airforce has all but pulled out they have nobody to pick on. Glen

No this is a good deal cuz instead of charging by the hobbs meter its a fixed rate, can't go over the agreed. And they are trying to sell it so they do whatever the prospective student wants. Quite a few years ago I did the exact same thing for a chopper intro. I was already a pilot looking for an add-on rating. Instructor was a police pilot moonlighting cuz he loved it. Got a unbelievable ride my "hands on" most of it. Including cruzing down the river bed in ground effect. He was really trying to sell what choppers do that fixed wing can't. Did everything but fly the thing under a bridge and at the end he apologized for going over the allotted time tee hee. Glen

Friend of mine had the same thing happen to him several years back at elsinore, a fairly new canopy too. Was about to land close to it only to watch a guy in a pick up truck stop grab it and take off, Because of the oblique angle he couldn't see the guys plates. Now thats a nightmare! Glen

Some parts of the world don't have the great cheap water and sanitation infrastructure that we do. To conserve water europe has some of the stingiest low flush tiolets I've ever seen, we give curtesy flushes if anyone is in the next stall. Some cultures admire the natural scent and musk of a women and work hard not to mask it with soaps and bathing away natural body oils. Parfumes are to compliment what is already there. Which led more than one of fellow service buddies to demand "please take a shower you stinky bitches of Paris". Glen
