  1. Yes what he said. And do try to avoid putting your tongue down the "ugly smoking girl in a bar" 's throat just to "get a taste". Those deaths are way easier to explain away trust me. Glen
  2. Yes bwaahhhahahahahahahaha Yes of course. Glen
  3. I'm a pretty solid guy but there is stuff on there that has scarred me for life.... Glen
  4. " No shit there I was in my F-14 tomcat flat on my back at 60 thousand feet........then the fanbelt broke" Glen
  5. Super powers of personal beauty to pose for some pics in a wing suit, didn't even have to get neckid...... this time. Glen
  6. I watched a guy at perris almost miss a load cuz he was having trouble fiddling his steal cable combination lock open, he missed the dirt dive. Glen
  7. Jt next time your down perris way I'll show you my slinks and how easy they are to install, inspect on every repack and maintain. I also saved and have around the kind with the forged metal ring that came with my cobalts. I really like them, swear by them. I won't get into all the "whys" here cuz it has been beat to death, but they rock! Glen
  8. _________________________________________________ Yes that is the case here at elsinore. There use to be a small private airport in the industrial complex back in Temecula, a few miles south of the DZ. It wasn't uncommon to have the wind socks at either end of this little airport to be 180 degrees out from each other, usually cross wind, and I'm not talking a lite breeze here they were kickin straight out! At elsinore there are plenty of options as long as you don't commit yourself into either a low turn or flying over or into the packing area or any of that new construction, cranes, ditches pipes, equiptment all measurably immovable. Stay lakeside and land anyway you want with all that land available to you. And what billvon said about downwinders was tits on. You have to be tuff! Glen
  9. I know a lot of people that love their Tempo reserves. Glen
  10. Sounds like a heli expedition is in order. Glen
  11. I have noticed this....... Only because its the size the FAA calls the ideal pilot used in size and weight calculations. Funny most of the pilots I know are much bigger than this ideal, hey whats a little less avgas just a few minutes less flite time righ?. The airforce picks guys this size and smaller for fighter jocks, the bigger guys fly bombers, tankers and freighters. As far as girls go, I think they like guys that are fit whatever size the dude happens to be. Some ladies like a bigger guy to get that feeling of protection and being smothered during....... Then there are those " self admitted size Queens" that make adult videos somewhat cartoonish. Fairly big guy and a tiny little girl with not so tiny ta-tas.
  12. Strictly solo belly, static line progression thru to various delay freefalls. Using belly mount reserves on military surplus rounds. It was at Temploux in belgium. AFF and tandems were just coming out, and only stateside at that. They said hundreds of jumps on rounds before transitioning to squares. I said I had enough and couldn't wait. Said I'd always get back, kept in touch with some jumping friends. I saw what the freeflyers were doing on some xtreme sports show featuring the flyboys and was blown away. A near life experience told me it was time to come on back, I'm staying for good. Glen
  13. Wingsuit, and if you are not going to fly it then you have to wear it on the ground...... in the bomb. glen
  14. No Ziggy I'm talking about Para-gliders. Glen
  15. I totally agree with Ann above and I had a very similar progression. I got back into the sport after a fifteen year lay-off just to do the stuff the freeflyers are doing. Around 60 jumps I got invited to do some RW with some coaches and some 200 and 400 jump RW regulars. Turned out I kicked their ass ( the regulars not the coaches ) I could swoop down and get my spot in a fraction of what it was taking them. Docked by one hand or hands off. They had a better feel for maintaining precise fall rate something I had to learn but I did in no time at all, after all I'm use to wearing a much floaty suit. Its all good. Someone said you have to be comfortable on your belly first. And I agree. I was comfortable on my belly and learning freefly. You won't learn if you are not relaxed, FEELING it! Glen
  16. Are you getting airtime Ziggy? Glen
  17. Oh you must still be pissed off about thishttp://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=412028;search_string=search_string;#412028 Or not Glen
  18. Ya I remember the first time I took angel dust.
  19. Did yer eyelids get stuck back like that ol boy on the rockit sled? If not then ya wern't freeflyin fast enuff.
  20. Hey that looks like uncle Fester! While waiting in the loading area all winged up I've been asked to pose for pictures a couple of times by tandem tourists or their families...... No doubt they were mocking my. Still yesterday after exiting the otter on my back and not sinking away so quickly and zoomin around openings in the clouds, I wouldn't mind if I had to wear a purple and yellow tutu in combination with a horned viking helmet to get this kind of performance. Sides freeflyers are use to a little humiliation...no? Its all good. Glen
  21. Hey James, it was nice meeting you yesturday. Getting some coaching is good and chriss would be one of the top guys to seek at Elsinore. One of the things that I would recommend would be to purchase Pat works book the art of Vrw. Although there is some stuff that doesn't "need" to be in the book. It explains some rudiments and shows you some positions that will give you a little head start so that when you do hook up with instruction you will have a basic understanding. Some of the books material is available around the internet for free, but I think the 40 bucks was worth it to me. It is also helpful if you want to try stuff solo and get your moves close then have a coach fine tune and get video always, always, always. You are going to learn most on two ways so keep your groups small for a while. Hope this helps. Glen
  22. Black swan cabernet, nothing like a phat phat cab! To may, may it rock! glen
