Let's say for instance, your in a crowded bar. Lots and lots of noise. Your trying to locate your friend that's also in the bar (it's a huge place). Can't hear shit cause of noise. Alas, a text from your friend that gives exact location....... case solved.

Yep, our management at NASA stated today, "You can leave tomorrow but you will need to take vacation." What a krock o shit................ I've actually been very impressed with my company (The Nature Conservancy). We were told on Monday that we had an admin day off on Friday. Yesterday they added Thursday and this morning they said if necessary for prep we were on admin leave immediately and through the end of the day on Monday. Of course it's on the honor system whether you really need it and we are expected to have our shops/equipment, etc. all ready also. Spent today ferrying fire trucks 3 hours up to Austin and now it probably won't be necessary! Ya'll have any job openings!

Well said, Bill, well said. Anyone, jumper or pilot, can show up when the sun is shining and everything works. The ones with the sand stand out when the malfunctions happen and the world turns to crap in a heartbeat. I second Bill's comments. When the shit does hit the fan, it's nice knowing someone w/ solid experience is at the controls. And is being paid appropriately.

I think Stratostar was just giving you the "go get em speech", not necessarily being as rude as you think he was... Plus, he's been around a long time and i think he gave Jesus a FJC back in the day! Do what you need to do to get your life back on track, and then return to skydiving when your ready. But be careful how things come across via the internet. It's hard to pick out inflection. What you think sounds good when you write it, may actually sound harsh to those that receive it....... good luck....!!

Thanks Dave.......that's about what I was thinking. I have a fender eliminator kit on my bike, so I "stuck" the sticker underneath the tail. Not really "in sight" but oh well....take me chances..
