Well, it sucks that she is laid off, but I think she'll have work at least another month or so. Merrick might get this job in NC - BUTTHOLES!! You are going to leave me?!?! A lot of totally awesome folks are going to Quincy, or to Summer Fest!! I personally have three REALLY CLOSE friends going to Summer Fest instead!! I could learn so much from them, as they are all great freeflyers, and of course the hot topic of the day seems to be that the Summer Fest will be cheaper ($15 jumps) for freeflyers, etc. But I am a low timer and I have to go to Quincy, just to say that I did! I plan to hit the low timer tent and the CRW tent and the Monkey Claw tent for my sit flying! Deva and everyone, I will miss seeing all of you! I love that faction of SDD. Dude, I hate to tell ya, but this isn't an episode of "Unsolved Mysteries"! I don't know what the scientific explanation for it is...but sometimes you sit an object on a table and the object or base is moist, or at a slant or SOMETHING, and anyhow, one of the things MOVES. Unfortunately, yes they can refuse the insurance. They usually have a book of some sort that describes what they will and won't insure. It depends on the ticket agent. I have a lot better luck here at home for some reason. That's why I said to be nice about it because I got mad at one once who didn't want to give it to me, and well, that didn't get me very far! What usually happens at least that I have noticed - is like, on the sunset load or something, someone has a written little note (a "petition" they call it) asking for more altitude. Then they pass it up to the pilot after take-off - and then they start asking chicks to flash. I think the pilots must say, "Only if I get to see some skin!!" or something. ROFL! For your first time, try the pilots from Carolina Sky Sports! They'll give you extra alti. for mere cleavage! You don't even have to flash 'em all the way. Just give 'em a little squeeze!! Well, I am a redhead...that explains why no one wants to marry me but everyone wants to...uh, yeah never mind. ROFLMAO!! I was going to dye my hair black with blue streaks for Quincy (PROFESSIONALLY - and I've worn black before so I know it looks good) but according to everyone here, red is the color of the day!! Jessica you know me, should I leave my hair color the way it is or change it? I like the idea of writing in your logbook what color your hair is on a jump. I did hot pink once for a boogie and did all braids for the Freaks boogie at Dallas. hmmmmm.... this is a cool thread. Sis PS - a word of advice: RED is very difficult to maintain as well. It isn't as bad as blonde though. Anyway, red fades very easily and you have to keep it up, i.e., new color all over every 4-6 weeks, more often in summertime. The sun fades red a lot. Use lots of conditioner! There is a lot of peroxide in red because it actually does lighten the hair first before dyeing it red. ;) Good luck! I'm not crazy because I take the right pills everyday.
