God help me. It is only Wednesday! And I have a new Bonehead helmet and Blaze goggles on the way, and a pair of homemade freefly pants waiting to be tested! I need to jump! Saturday isn't far away, I know, and I don't even have to work. Which is actually worse, because I don't have things to take my mind off skydiving. I talked all day to Pammi and others about Quincy, made the plans, cashed in some saving for dough, and basically lived on dz.com and other skydiving websites today. I need skydiving and sex dammit! I am horny for two things: altitude and naughty behavior! HELP! OK- sorry... I feel better now. It has been awhile since I posted one of these "I feel sorry for myself threads" but I couldn't help it. Somebody rescue me! Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." SOLO TIME! hehehehe Either do solos or jump with an experienced freeflyer. See you on the darkside, lazer!! Hugs, The FREAKsis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

No no, it is a "Caravan Memorial" Boogie, but it is really a CASA boogie. I had to ask Cyber about it. It is a memorial boogie for a bunch of Bill's friends who died in a Caravan or something. (Bill is the DZ Owner). So I guess the fall boogie has a different name or something. They normally jump a King Air there and have a C-182 for backup. Anyway, no worries. It will be the Carolina SkySports CASA. Last weekend of Sept. Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

I don't know about nightlife, but if your whuffo is into nature and stuff, NZ is where it's at. That country has so much to see and do I can't imagine someone not enjoying it, unless they are strictly a city-person. Do a web search and you can find out anything you ever wanted to know about all there is to do there. Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

yep. Monroe has one twice a year. I went to the one in May and I am going for the one in Sept. You should come out! It would be fun to meet you. I'll be jumping with Pyke and Cyberskydiver... Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

Dave, Yeah, I'll be at the boogie. I got your private message. Two weeks later I will be headed to Georgia again for ANOTHER CASA boogie. God I love those things! Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

Have fun, Sangiro! We'll miss you while you're gone! What if the site crashes? Do you have someone babysitting the thing while you are gone? Well, I suppose we will survive without you! (tears streaming down the sistah's face) LOL - Honestly though, have a blast! We are now expecting cool ass pics! Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

Well, color me flattered, Clay! Merrick, I didn't know you posted pics of me and my whip! That was pretty cool... Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

Yo Ninja! Welcome to our cult. Beer is a huge part of the skydiving lifestyle...among other things! LOL I think I remember the Canadians on here saying PFF was similar to AFF. I didn't do AFF so I wouldn't really know. The whole world trains jumpers differently, but *similar*. Talk about an oxymoron. Different but similar. DUH! Anyway, you jumped on in just fine. Don't flame anyone right away and we'll keep you around.

Yeah, that's why they suck sometimes at that DZ, because experienced jumpers take a back seat to the tandems and students. They need a 2nd plane... Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

I have to say that if I was going anywhere in the world, I would go to New Zealand or Empuriabrava. Probably NZ, because I have talked to Pyke about it so much I am like in love with the place even though I haven't been there! If you have seen any pics, I think it is much prettier than just about anywhere else you could go, including Hawaii. Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

What significant other? LOL Sis (single for sooo long) "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

well, thank God I don't know how much sex costs here, I certainly don't have to pay for it! (well at least, not outright!) Jump tickets here cost anywhere between $15 and $19. Normally they are 18-19. The helicopter cost me $39. These prices represent experienced jump tickets, not student prices. Those are around $50 a jump for S/L and what, maybe $150 for AFF? Tandems cost about $160 plus about $50 for video. The last number was originally supposed to represent the number of CASES of beer you OWED or purchased because of skydiving firsts. Apparently this has been modified. However, here a case of GOOD beer (like imports) costsabout $20-25. Coors Light and other Domestic crap costs probably $15 a case or less. Good beer at a bar costs anywhere from $2 to $5-6 a piece. Generic beer at a bar costs about $2.50 apiece unless it is happy hour. Cheers! It's funny how dz's are different. At Skydive Dallas, they require Skydive U. jumps after AFF, because they are a SDU campus. Which reminds me, I got to pour beer on Rob Laidlaw Saturday night! He had never recieved his SCR/SCS ceremony so we forced him to be a "maggot" for half an hour. It was great. BTW, if you don't know who Rob Laidlaw is, he is the President of SDU. Buy a SDU video. Anyway, but I didn't train at Dallas, so I wasn't required to do SHIT to graduate. I still haven't done a barrel roll. I think I would be a lot better skydiver (at least in RW) if I had done SDU jumps. I could get free SDU course training (except for the cost of the instructor's jump ticket) but just haven't done it. For all of you who have to do it, I feel sorry for you because of the cost, but you'll be glad you did it. Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

Well, the FREAK part is supposed to stand for skydiving and freeflying, but it really fits my personality in all ways! Esp. my sex life! hehehehehehehe Thanks! Sis "The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

Join the club! You get used to it after awhile. I have no children or spouse to worry about, so that helps. It sure is fun though when you can just go wherever your heart desires, whenever it desires. I have to get another job someday but for now, I am free time mama! hehe sis The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." Oscar Wilde

Pyke: "The Truth?!?! You can't handle the truth!" (Gotta love Pacino!) The TRUTH is that Cyber is already over his, and you aren't over your ex - let's see...7 months later AND she lives something like 17,000 miles away! Sis (love ya, but it had to be said) It isn't brave if you aren't scared...

Right, there is no forward movement on exit, there is relative wind at all. You sort of just float there is what it feels like. It is like you are looking around at everyone else and giving them thumbs up, etc. and it is SO quiet you could talk to them! Then after about ten seconds or so you finally feel some relative wind and it's crazy! You're like, WHOA! WIND! hehe I loved it. I exited backwards so I could just watch the heli! Three of us jumped on each side at the same time, so six exit at once to keep the heli's balance. It was fuckin' sweet! Thanks Pyke, babe! I knew I could count on you to say something nice!
-
I was lucky enough to jump Rod Tinney's Bell 412 Helicopter this weekend, and all I can say is: OH YEAH, BABY!!!!!! It rocks!! The ride up is part of the attraction as much as the jump itself! He does some COOL shite with that heli...and everyone says it is 100% cooler at Quincy because he can get away with crazier tricks! Let me tell ya peeps, if you get a chance to jump a helicopter DO IT! We exited at 6400 feet and I logged a 26 second delay! hehe...in other words, I pulled a couple hundred feet lower than I planned...LOL Sis (another perfect landing in the books!) It isn't brave if you aren't scared...

Kingie, I have a special place in my heart for you after my birthday card! I still have the quarter! Hell, I still have the card! Sis It isn't brave if you aren't scared...

yes, Pyke, we ARE VERY disturbed! God love it! I never had so much fun being disturbed in my whole life! If people on here knew *just how disturbed* we really were, they would NOT talk to us at dropzones! And, yeah, so much for not reading the thread, and then posting more than anyone! ME stir up TROUBLE??? How on Earth did you guess?? LOL If I can just get out of town to the boogie I will be stirring up lots o'trouble! Except Sat. night, when I am going to try to retire at the godawful hour of midnight so that I can make the 5:45 AM hot-air balloon call. That means...up at 5:30? fuck...oh well it will be worth it.... sis (i love you pyke...come here so I can strangle you asshole)(wanna get married? let me take out a big life ins. policy on you first) It isn't brave if you aren't scared...
