  1. I don't think Rosa or Chelle are over-reacting in their responses. Mrwrong, otoh, felt the need for an exclamation point. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  2. I believe that's why Bed, Bath & Beyond began allowing mulitple "20% off one item" coupons in one transaction, even though it clearly states, "Limit one to a customer per visit." They also accept expired coupons. I love Bed, Bath & Beyond. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  3. Interesting. I wonder how many people take such things into consideration when they vote. I've been known to like one candidate for an office slightly more than another but vote for my less-preferred for the sole purpose of such a balance. My guess is most party members tend to vote party lines regardless. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  4. Mine always comes WAY early. I usually fill it in and send it back the same day it's delivered. This time I held off a few weeks. I finally sent it in two weeks ago. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  5. Marg pretty much summed up my answer. And in my personal, biased and unscientific opinion purely based on my ample experience with animals , researching them & their behaviors and developing relationships with a select few super-cute fur balls, it is my assertion sometimes my dog even laughs. 6. What does that have to do with 'bella's point (whether or not farm animals should be treated & raised humanely)? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  7. Elephants are the best example!
  8. I'm referring to "history with the press". Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  9. I disagree. And it seems she does, too, given her recent interviews with the press. She has a much better history of dealing with the press than Biden, even considering her awkward Couric interview. But, I digress. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  10. I got that, but you have to admit this should have been worded differently: I'd have substituted "to test" with "that will test". I know it's like an extra word and all, but makes the intended meaning so much clearer. Plus, I don't like the use of "generated" w/r/t "crisis to test [Obama]" It makes me feel icky. 11. I thought some might find this helpful: ProQuo It allows you to very easily opt out of various junk mailers--including catalogs & credit-card offers. But, it also lets you opt in to receive ones you do want that you might not already be receiving.
  12. It doesn't sound like you've pulled your credit before. So, it seems you'd be eligible for the annualcreditreport.com. Get all three reports, and just purchase one score if you need it. Go with Equifax's score. Freecreditreport.com will enroll you in a credit-monitoring service, which you can cancel without being charged, but if you forget you'll be automatically charged for that service when it is due to renew. Either way, get all three reports--they're free. And budget the $15 to check one quarterly and all three (for free) once/year. It is wise to check your credit regularly on a quarterly basis. And it's best to do so online as it will be easier to dispute any inaccuracies and all three agencies are more responsive to this method. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  13. I really didn't think this belonged in SC, but it's always fun to see how things end up there... This is really hilarious. I don't care what side of the fence you're on; a good political impersonation makes me laugh every time. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  14. I submit a lot more than 2% of small-businesses have net profits of $250k or more with owners salaried at no more than $80k/year or less. Either that, or I just happen to know all 2%. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  15. Or maybe his partner doesn't have a license either since it's not required. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  16. Who here knows him? I'm really tired of hearing all about Joe. Does McCain or Obama know Joe? I don't think they do--one less than the other. I know Joe. I know I'm in love with a man who worked his ass off and still works his ass off to build a successful business. I know my clients whom I've seen go from one employee (themselves!) to 30+ over several years. I know a LOT of Joes. I also know numbers and financials. This election sucks. 17. I can't believe I'm this excited about a litter box. I'm consulting my contractor (BZ ) about how to set it up so we can keep the box where our current one is (not in a utility or bathroom). I do NOT want it in any bathroom and there's no place for it in our utility room. Plus, the cats are used to going where they go--it's inconspicuous. It seems fairly simple to me--Just a little punching out of some drywall and repairing and we'll be genie'd out, bitches. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  18. Sold! I'm buying one today! I can't believe I've never heard of it before. It's genius! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  19. That's fucking awesome!!! How long have you had it? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  20. Apparently. Iz OK. I still look at "ntrprnr" and think, "Natterpernner". Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  21. Sweet! That looks wonderful. Thank you.
  22. Who is doing that, do you think? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  23. What's your point? If "individual mortgages don't count", then for me the answer is "zero". I do not support Obama. I don't think all debt is bad, but I haven't yet borrowed to invest in myself (i.e. my own ideas). Maybe someday I will. I'm kinda pricey, though. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
