I don't think I said stupid I know, I just included your post in my reply to Jakee for context which is why you received a notification.

You know who could fathom that? Doctors. Because they know what stupid people will do with stupid suggestions. And it's not just about being stupid. Sick desperate people may do desperate things regardless of how intelligent they are.

Media Silence On Biden Assault Allegations is Deafening
Coreece replied to a topic in Speakers Corner
Come off it. The only time anyone ever raises their arms like that for being a champion is if their teammates have just poured ice cold water down their neck as a celebration. That was the impression I got when I first watched it. But after watching it more closely, it really does look like she's playing along and quite possibly enjoying the attention. -

Sure she said it was friendly, but go watch the video again and tell me with a straight face that she was comfortable and happy with what he was doing. The whole thing happened very quickly and lasted about one second. She initially seemed startled until she realized that he's just giving her a quick shoulder rub as if pumping up your buddy for the big game. (After all it was her first G8 summit as chancellor) She then raises her arms like a champion and smiles/laughs it off. And not only did she say it was a friendly gesture, but also a kind gesture - and there is no reason to think anything beyond that, as if it made her feel uncomfortable and sad. Merkel Interview - https://youtu.be/4fTfd1TqmV4?t=815 Now if that was Biden, he'd take his time and slowly work his way down to her arms as he leans in to smell her hair and whisper sweet nothings in her ear. At worst, Bush was just being the awkward chucklefuck that he was. With Biden it's just creepy and weird. -

See, that's the idea. I honestly believe people would elect a 3rd party candidate if they had reason to believe we'd actually go out and do it. -

I'll probably choose the lesser of two evils. Ok, so what's your limit of sexual assault accusations before you decide to vote 3rd party again or something else? Or do you need to see a conviction? -

Agreed that they might not be sexual assault, but they're not similar at all to Merkel's case. She said it was a friendly gesture and that it never crossed her mind that something so trivial would go so viral. Compare that to those that spoken out against Biden: “It doesn’t even really cross your mind that such a person would dare perpetuate harm like that. These are supposed to be people you can trust.” “I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me” “If something makes you feel uncomfortable, you have to feel able to say it.” "I felt embarrassed and shocked" “the kind of inappropriate behavior that makes many women feel uncomfortable and unequal in the workplace.” "Too often it doesn’t matter how the woman feels about it or they just assume that they’re fine with it.” -

And now that's pretty much the same thing a Biden nomination would say, along with each and every vote he receives. -

Shows the difference between Democrats and Republicans nicely doesn't it. Democrats feel like they need to support women getting abused, groped, assaulted and raped. Republicans see rape and sexual assault as a great way to score political points. I don't think that was the takeaway the article was going for: “I’m extremely frustrated to see so many people who publicly came out and said that they supported survivors during Kavanaugh only then to do a 180 when it was someone within their own party.” “This is just further evidence that survivors will always be political pawns” “It’s been really disappointing to see voices who are otherwise very outspoken on these issues be silent or make excuses.” -

Good for her. I propose a hearing where she can tell her side of the story, on live TV. And then we hold the same hearing for the three women who have accused Trump of rape and the eleven women who have accused Trump of sexual assault. Might need a few weeks for them so they all get equal time. Maybe even longer when you add the 7 more women that have spoken out against Joe. Looks like you'll be voting 3rd party again, eh? Unless of course you have a limit of 15 or something like that. -

Apparently Tara Reade had the following to say in a fox news exclusive: "I voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. I voted for her in the primary. I'm a lifelong Democrat. But yet, what I see now is someone enabling a sexual predator and it was my former boss, Joe Biden, who raped me," Reade told Fox News. "Hillary Clinton has a history of enabling powerful men to cover up their sexual predatory behaviors and their inappropriate sexual misconduct. We don't need that for this country. We don't need that for our new generation coming up that wants institutional rape culture to change." She added: "I will not be smeared, dismissed or ignored. I stand in truth and I will keep speaking out." -

Meh, give them a break - it takes time to work through one's cognitive dissonance. From Mama Jones: ". . .expressing support for further investigation into Reade’s claims could jeopardize her chance of working with the White House if Biden wins. “I really saw Biden as a champion for a really long time,” she said. “I’m experiencing cognitive dissonance right now. I haven’t had the ability or the time to process emotionally what it means for me to believe that he did this.” https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2020/04/tara-reade-joe-biden-sexual-assault-activists-survivors/ -
COVID-19: Astroturfing the "reopen" demonstrations
Coreece replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
I can't help it. That's has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. -
Yep misread that one. Not enough coffee yet. It is from the 10th though. Yeah, I hate when they do that.
-
To be fair though - the bottom tweet was from WHD . . . sooo I thought we were talking about the first tweet. It's not from October if that's what you were referring to.
-
What do the dates have to do with anything? BHO commented on World Health Day about World Health. October is just as good. Oh no, here we go. . .

That was a character in Golden Girls. The actress who portrayed her was Estelle Getty who died in 2008. Yes, I'm aware of that. I went with Sophia because she shares more of a resemblance to Fauci. If someone didn't know who either of those people were and searched for Estelle Getty, they may not see that resemblance.
-
I thought Sophia Petrillo could've done a pretty good impression if she was still around.

Just to be clear, this is a comparison between Hannity and other FOX News shows, specifically Tucker Carlson and how Carlson was warning about the seriousness of the coronavirus even before Trump announced it as a public health emergency way back on January 31st. Also from study: Tucker Carlson - Feburary 25 "Currently, the coronavirus appears to kill about two percent of the people who have it. So let’s be generous for a moment and imagine that asymptomatic carriers are not detected and the real death rate is only say half a percent — that would be one quarter of the current estimates. Even under that scenario, there would still be 27 million deaths from coronavirus globally. In this country, more than a million would die." Hannity - February 27 today, thankfully, zero people in the United States of America have died from the coronavirus. Zero. Now, let’s put this in perspective. In 2017, 61,000 people in this country died from influenza, the flu. Common flu. Fun Fact: Billvon - February 27 "Keep in mind that there have been about 2800 deaths from Covid-19 so far - worldwide. So far this year, there have been 16,000 deaths from the ordinary flu in the US alone. So I am all for working to figure out preventative measures for Covid-19 - but don't neglect protection from a much more deadly disease." Gowlerk Response to Billvon "I'm not advocating panic. But this statistic that I keep hearing about the flu is meaningless. We have a good grip on the death rate from influenza. IF covid-19 becomes as common as influenza, and IF the death rate remains at the current best guesstimate of 2 to 3 % it has the potential to kill at least 10 times the number." Billvon Response to Gowlerk Right. The odds are low but they are there. (Of course, that's true of flu as well; it could mutate and cause a lot more deaths.) Again, best approach - hand washing, flu shot, stay home when you are sick. Given the above, Billvon is like Hannity and Gowlerk is like Tucker. . . Also, if Hannity's quote above is misinformation according to the study, how are your statements not misinformation? Could you imagine if Trump said something similar? "OMG, Trump is downplaying the seriousness of the virus! Millions will die and the idiot thinks the best approach is to fight it with the flu shot!"

COVID-19: Astroturfing the "reopen" demonstrations

There is a third option. negligence. Perhaps. I believe it's standard to treat these types of patients with anticoagulant injections just as a precaution. If they did, then they might be off the hook. Spain reported that some covid patients still developed blood clots even after the injections. Anyway, this place is pretty dead today. Did Trump reopen the country and nobdy told me?
-
It's not that bad. It kinda tastes like the chicken flavor - it's almost as if they just changed the packaging.
-
Fist Bump. Thanks for that.

The article said he was sedated and in intensive care for 18 days. If he was just laying there without moving very much, then it's the hospitals responsibility to provide an IPC device to prevent blood clotting. I wonder if the hospital was just overwhelmed or ran out.
