  1. Were you wearing your mask? Doesn't it seem a bit peculiar to buy candy just to give it away in the middle of a pandemic to some family that you apparently don't even know that well? I mean, I don't know if I'd want some nosy neighbor in a mask coming over for something so unnecessary and then posting shit about us online. Just curious, are you in an HOA?
  2. Again, despite what some people say, this wasn't a self-imposed banning. I'm not making this up, lol. I really was restricted from posting for 10 days. That’s not what I said nor what I did, so I seriously think you're just projecting, especially after expressing how you’re so sick of being attacked and don’t know why you waste your time here - and then you ask if the mods can delete your account.
  3. The first line of his post was "Trump’s response to the pandemic has been haunted by the science denialism of his ultraconservative religious allies." That's what everyone has been talking about. How do you figure? The first reply by gowlerk is some kind of joke about Christians dying - and normiss liked it. (go figure) The second reply is Nigel raggin' on about how I treat Phil nicer than him. (and by raggin' I don't mean raging, I mean raggin' - like it's his time of the month.) The third reply is about how Phil felt bad for calling me names - and then nigel wonders why I treat him better, lol. You were raggin' on some strawman, but the funny thing there is that atheists actually do go to church - then they say that christians are the ones that need a crutch. . . The rest are people here are just going on about 2 pastors in all of Christendom that were arrested for holding services for .0000005% of the christian population. Ya, because if someone said that the road to increased STD hell is being paved by homosexuals, or that the road to inner city violence is being paved by blacks, or that the road to hell should be paved by Jews, queers and mexicans, you'd just ignore it right? No bigotry there, eh? It's hard to say. These church people are so desperate during this time that they obviously feel church is necessary and essential to their life. Not sure I can say the same to those crowding Socal beaches and the bars, nor about those celebrating b-day parties and funerals - but apparently y'all is ok with all that as long as they don't specifically identify as evangelical/christian. . . . and the fact that that church spent $100k on a hospital grade air purification system, and separated people into 7 different areas on their campus, and didn't even take a money collection works against your whole hateful "leech" theory. Ya, it's a quiet time. How about you take that time and spend it with your father? I know he's sick, but my heart says that he needs to be with you, and your family has delivered him to you. For the last 1- 2 years or so, you've been lamenting on Christianity and your childhood. You've expressed disdain for your father, but now he's here. Take some time and make that right. He loves you. Don't regret it. Just work it out, what ever you have to do, ok bud? No Joe, we're not in agreement. I mean, I like your posting style, and we could really make a good team, but you're a bitch - and ain't working with no bitches.
  4. Nah, it's phil - half of his posts are just copy paste trolls that nobody reads. Besides, I don't think there's anyone here dumb enough to actually believe the OP title anyway. Nobody in this thread even bothered addressing the actual content of his post, lol. I mean by the 2nd reply they're already talking about me and then go on lamenting about church gatherings. Police have been getting bombarded with 1000s of calls for large gatherings and ordinance violations across the country, but hey let's single out the subset of christian morons.

    Q

Bullshit. This has nothing to do with Ron and everything to do with Nigel's father.

Honestly I feel sorry for him. More and more it feels like the ramblings of someone dealing with dementia or going sinile. I used to find it funny, then I got angry, now it just makes me sad and I pity him. I picture a lonely old man, scared and running from shadows Admit it. Given your current situation, you're just projecting.

    You do, voodoo...
  9. My worry is for those in the inner city. Why? Same day different shit.
  10. Depends on the material, and depends on the child. Some need more hands-on learning, some need an actual dedicated space for learning (not all homes have that), and some just need occasional one-on-one comments and encouragement. Wendy P. Maximizing the benefits of virtual schooling for normal people will maximize the chances of surivial for those that depend on normal people for survival.
  11. But virtual school works just fine. The infrastructure already exists. Just need teachers to switch over to fill the demand.

Appeal to authority doesn't work well here. The Flying Spaghetti Monster says so. Did you clear that with your Wife, MD?

    covid-19

Horse shit. If Trump lovers and Christians end up with lower infection rates you'll give it to me, and deservedly, with both barrels. Nah, I don't typically start pissing contests like that. But I could see myself using that as a counter argument if someone like you, Dr.K or nigel went out of their way to create a new thread about how so many christians died from covid and why God hates them so much.

    covid-19

Most likely for info on PEDs and if they might shorten covid recovery times.

    covid-19

Nah, that's not really my thing. Personally, a lot of the rhetoric around here lately has been a bit disheartening.

    Q

No, depression is not "normal." The deplorable attitude that (for example) losing your family to illness, and then entering a depression, is normal and can be resolved by simply getting over "life's little miseries" leads to a lot of serious problems (including suicide.) There is a difference between clinical depression and periods of depression caused by loss. If you don't feel a bit depressed after losing a loved one, then you're probably a deplorable in need of medical attention.

Not nearly enough, though. How many is enough? Enough for what?

    Q

Oh the humanity! If it becomes a medical issue, most will seek medical help.

    Q

Mental health is a medical issue. All I'm saying is that if it's a medical problem, then see a medical doctor. Depression caused by a chemical imbalance would typically require lab tests and a doctor's prescription. Depression caused by life's little miseries is normal and is typically resolved without seeking medical attention. Except many don’t do they? Yes, the vast majority of christians seek medical attention for medical issues. I suppose it's hard to see that when one's chronic hatred continually obstructs their limited worldview.

    Q

If there is a medical issue that's causing mental problems then ya, see a shrink for your prescription - but still, 20% of psychiatrists have been sued for malpractice. Many are for suicides committed under the doctor's care, while others are due to the 10% of psychiatrists engaging in unethical sexual behavior/misconduct with their patients. You're right, merely anecdotal. Nothing to see here.
  21. Instead of just dying unable to breathe serious? Apparently. I forget the comedian who said it, but if you really want to keep the youngsters at home, just say that it's an STD.

    covid-19

    One of the good guys.
  23. They would if the disease was more serious - like, melting skin/oozing lesion serious.
