Tho I agree she was being sarcastic and that the headline was a bit misleading, she responded with #solidarity. Do you people know what solidarity means? I wonder if any of her followers believe in solidarity, yet may not be as sarcastic?

He clearly quoted the text and provided a linked citation which is more than what most people here care to bother with. They just spout their BS and expect everyone to take their word for it. It's refreshing to have these links as a decent starting place, especially for those of us that don't have time to sail around on their yacht all day talking shit on the internet. The last poster that I can remember to cite this many sources was nerdgirl.

Part of me wonders if our high costs are subsidizing other countries indirectly. Also, are these high costs essential to the quality of medicine and development of pharmaceuticals? If the U.S had a system similar to other countries, would the high costs then be spread out and passed on to other countries?

Don't you know - its not about what you pay for them now. They are socialist entities and the public needs to pay for them. They pay for them when they are made available for them. No, I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just saying that these costs should be built into the cost of the room that insurance should pay. And even if some insurances do pay, why is the hospital trying to make a profit off cable TV and phones that people didn't ask for or may not even use? I mean the hospitals are charging at least 5 times more in two weeks for TV than what cable companies charge for 1 month. I mean it's almost as ridiculous if they started charging you for toilet paper and sending you electric/water bills for your hospital stay.

I think the key word you're missing there is "affordable." Do you think it's affordable for cancer patients to be billed $200 for 2 weeks of TV (40 stations) and $100 for a room phone regardless of whether or not they even used them? How much do you pay for cable per month? How many stations do you get? How much do you pay for your landline per month?

Kinda like choosing to avoid cruise ships... Be smarter than the virus! We've considered going on a cruise in December, January, February and now maybe in April, but in every instance it just seemed like a bad time to go, especially now. I wonder how this will affect the polls and which side it'll affect more. And that article is really about the association of the penis to weapons, and therefore applies more to you than it does Brent or any other gun owner.

I know you're joking around, but again, as in the other thread awhile back wrt law enforcement, I think you're ignoring the idea of having discretion. (or perhaps even grace) Also, you don't know if he used the new system and gave him a warning shot. In any event, Bill has seemed to be consistently more lenient when dealing with attacks against himself as apposed to attacks against other posters, which IMO is rather admirable.

Usually poor whites venture to trailer parks, but in Santa Cruz trailers can cost 600k - no shit, that's fucking mad. Cheapest one I saw with a quick search was like 3k per month, so that would be a no go for her.
