McEnany, trump's Press Secretary, "promises not to lie"
Coreece replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
What's trump? -
I don't know, but I'd like to try the Single Origin Congo – Carmel N’ Nibs – 65% Dark Chocolate, but they don't deliver here.

I highly doubt it, because of the three things you just said two of them are not true. Ah, my bad. Apparently that was his grandfather. I think it was all the confusion surrounding buzzwords like Kenya, Islam ad Hussein that allowed them to draw the link to Obama in the first place. If he was just another typical black kid from Chi-raq, I doubt they would've tried to make that connection - which is why they don't do it to most other black politicians. I'm not trying to dismiss elements of racism surrounding his candidacy/presidency, but I think in this instance it was due moreso to being a Democrat. Republicans didn't give a toss because he was a republican. That's how politics seem to work these days.

I think it was moreso because his father was from Kenya, converted to Islam and changed his name to Hussein.

Should Biden Get the Nomination in Light of an Apparent Sexual Assault

Hey Jerry, the next time you're thinking out loud, make sure you don't hit the talk-to-text button. It's the little icon that looks like a microphone. As an aside, is it just me or is there something fundamentally fucked with people born in and around the 1940s? From my experience they've been relatively immature for their age and much more difficult to work with. Another commonality seems to be a creepy preoccupation with sex - and then you hear about that whole hepatitis thing with people in this age group. I mean wtf was going on back then with these people? -
That term in this forum seems to have been used exclusively by the left for about 3 years against conservative posters that have never called anyone a snowflake. https://www.dropzone.com/search/?&q=snowflake&page=1&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy It kind of illustrates the point in my previous post.

In my biased opinion, I think for some people on the left (not necessarity Dekker) it all started out as giving the right a taste of their own medicine so they can see how it feels and perhaps modify their behavior, but it went too far for too long and now they've become what they despise, which is why they're likely to nominate/support a man that they would've otherwise considered to be deplorable. The good thing tho, is that there is still time to make it right. It sort of reminds me of Galatians 6:1 "Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted."

Yes. Alcohol and sunlight supposedly kill the corona, so if you see me drunk on the beach consider it medical research. (lost internet meme)

If not, then the site admin could just block people from south africa. -
That comment has no connection whatsoever to the disinfectant situation. But it does have a connection to the covid crisis and people he considers stupid, which is what Bill was referring to.

There is only one person in this forum that I know of lately that has said anything remotely close to that, and he isn't a Trump supporter. "Let them infect each other, get lots of people sick all at once, overwhelm the health care system and die." https://www.dropzone.com/forums/topic/267518-covid-19/?do=findComment&comment=4891988

They'll just use a VPN and keep switching servers. -
It seems countries that are heavily traveled are being impacted the hardest. The UK, France, Italy, Spain and Belgium all have covid death rates that are 2-3 times higher than that of the U.S.
-
The one story I read said that they saw the increase within the last month, not within the last week.
-
I'm not surprised that there has been a spike in poison control calls given all the makeshit sanitizers and all the bored kids at home, many of which may not be supervised. The real question is how many are directly related to Trump's comments.

Comparing the US with Slovakia. Got it. No, you compared the raw numbers of Germany to that of the U.S, so I posted an equally meaningless comparison with the hope that you'd go look for your thinking cap that has apparently blown off your head. Personally I think Germany has been pretty impressive compared to other surrounding areas like the UK, Spain, Italy, Belgium and France that have covid deaths rates that are 2-3 times higher than that of the U.S

Bill usually gets in the office around 9am PST -
I'm just wondering when he's going to figure out the difference between rates and raw numbers.
-
By your logic Slovakia is putting Germany to shame! Slovakia: 1391 cases - 22 deaths Germany: 161,539 Cases and 6,467 deaths

Ya, that's right where I grew up. I remember hearing the call to prayer way back in the 80s during baseball practice and nobody ever seemed to give it a second thought. My home town has always been a hot spot for new groups of immigrants, and after 9/11 there was an influx of more Arabs and more mosques started appearing in residential areas - and that's when people started complaining. Back when I was bitter and overly critical of the Catholic Church, I used the same argument, "waddabout the churchbells!" But to be honest, that's like comparing a grandfather clock to a set of bag pipes.
