Need advice about real estate encroachment knowledge
Krip replied to skygypsie's topic in The Bonfire
To OP Sounds like a Mcnasty that I wouldn't want to live next to. With a lawyer and in the spirit of cooperation could you let Mcnasty buy the lot from you at a "fair "price before they ruined it, plus legal fee's, pain and suffering etc . Does Mcnasty have any $$$$ Then let Mcnasty deal with the regulator's & you can find another piece of heaven. Before you get to old to enjoy it. FWIW Not a lawyer R. -
Had about 300 jumps on a 170. Only got slammed twice. Packing errors. Would still be using it if I was still jumping. But I still have my rig so who knows.
-
Damn now I have to get my electronic gizmo (pro track ?) that I used to log my jumps Actually I have to go down stairs to my fire proof security vault and get out the L.B. log book. "I'll be back" R

I wonder how many people noticed the Abdias Jump boots he is wearing. Came in 3 colors. Sparky I would guess those with a shoe fetish noticed. Hi The lab could check the exterior of the boots for DNA. IMO People like Mr Strong will never be "gone" as long as the sport/industry continues. He's just in another place. Leave the light on Mr Strong we'll be there

Hi Pi At the WFFC in Quincy when we jumped "The Jet" we could sign up for a "Offical numbered Certificate" For a small additional fee. That fee was in adition to the $50 lift ticket I got the number

Took a quick look, of course the lawyer put a positive spin on it he got paid $400,000. Without public opinion in favor of Don, no telling what would have happened in spite of the $400K. R. One Jump Wonder -
To OP and Elvisio [replyElvisio "what a drag it is getting old" Rodriguez Old is contagious stop resisting. just learn from the mistakes made by others. If I need prescribed meds so be it. I had one that after I went to sleep But I don't take any over the counter meds either, not even a aspirin. I just suck it up as long as possiable before seeinng a DR. Went to one Dr the nurse took the vitals the dr looked said "I'll be back" and the nurse showed up with three different colored scripts, Never saw the DR again and didn't even get a diagnosis. Refused to pay the bill. I think the OP's jaw problem could be called TMJ rather than TMD. On a happy note your note the OP isn't dealing with the VA, and Iraq is supposed to be over. Semper FI Not a marine, just old. R. One Jump Wonder

It's the army, they have to be able to land safely in all types of terrain and go to work. ASAP. There was another canopy in the background, We've seen teams practicing landing in a tight group. It's a beauty to watch. Everyone landing in the same direction, following the first man down, Just s turns, no spirals etc. no hot dog BS. Team work. If the fun jumpers had this much discipline a lot more people would be alive today. FWIW never jumped in the military. Just with a military club. BTW watch accuracy jumpers with a big Accuracy canopy same type of approach and landing, unless they have to reach for the DC. Thanks for the link

Hi G All meds have side effects, and YMMV. You should be getting a data sheet listing side effects with all meds prescribed, and the side effects are listed on line. Lock up all meds. More people are dying from misuse of prescribtion meds than illegal dope in the US. Don't share your meds with anyone. 5 yr federal crime. + what NW Flyer said. R. One Jump Wonder

+1 and sooner rather than later. The longer a property-line dispute goes unchallenged, the harder it is to prove and the less likely it will go in the legal owner's favor. I've even heard where the property line has been changed on the books in favor of the offender, because the original owner didn't push back soon enough, and the fence/building had been standing there for many years before legal action was taken. Don't delay, and good luck with this. -
Hi Don't know how the laws work in sweden, going to court takes time etc, I'm not a lawyer, just old. Anyone can threaten to take anyone else to small claims court, actually doing it takes time off work, documentation . She took her dog to the vet when, how can she prove your dog did the damage? Your dogs on a leash and her dogs off leash? Try waiting her out and worst case if you get the summons for court and it's not worth your time, offer to pay half in the "spirit of cooperation" but get her to sign off accepting that as full payment and don't acknowledge any liabilty. Do all comunication in writeing and document document document. IMO people are people, and some will try and bluff you or bully you. If you see her dog outside off leash a picture will help, along with a pic of the alleged altercation just in case.

The Q-tips driveing on the interstate in florida scared the piss out of me. They can hardly see over the steering wheel and will stay on your bumper regardless of how fast your driving to get away from them, Their reaction time is zero. and their driving bumber to bumper doing 80 MPH. Otoh what do they have to lose in a car accident? A couple of month's. IMO the safest lane in florida is the right lane because everyone will be passing you in a flash FWIW the rainy season started in seattle a couple of weeks ago and we're looking at freezing temps at night almost and day now. Got the wood stove going, and the exterior water lines drained, stocked up on lots of T.P. Just in case we get snowed in. Trust me you so don't want to move to the seattle metroplex, You don't even want to visit during the dry season you'll freeze your butt off.

About pencil whipping. I never understood that. Why would one want to do that? To meet the minimum jumps for wingsuits, downsize canopy size, maybe camera flying. One Jump Wonder

Anyone have one from the wffc, whats your number. Any funny stories. I'll have to look up my number but loading the plane was . Two young dudes get on the plane in their Boxers, people ar pointing, yelling etc. The two dude were standing in the last row standing next to me . I thought the folks were pointing at me (as usual) until I looked to my left and saw the one eyed monster up close and personnel. It had "accidently" sliped out of one of the guys boxers. The two dudes just laughed and took their boxers off to stop the noise. Anyone on the jet load that we read about were some peeps were doing "it" in the pack of the plane. Or the first time the jet dropped jumpers with the exit speed a little to fast.? Who's got the most jumps out of the jet at quincy? R. One Jump Wonder

Hi Shah Sure.... I belive you... not. Trust me I'm from the gov't and I'm hear to help you. So If I'm reading this correctly you won't be posting on the tax payers dime during working hr's anymore. With your attitude you'll never find what your looking for, or if you get lucky. It won't last. Real women won't put up with your BS unless there playing you. Sucks to be you. R. One Jump Wonder -
Hi jtval We're already there the old and senile part. We started jumping in 68, ,made 2 jumps and then nothing for 6 month's. Now 43 later we can look at the log book see the down time scratch head and butt and the 60's were a very busy time for a lot of young folks . Damn must have been over there. We're talking trash in the old farts forum, Someone asks When did you jump at Bragg and with which club, There were three. After we broke out the log books from our fire proof security vault we found the answer in 3 minutes. First boogie at LP 20 yr's ago got that, etc Z-hills got that etc etc. Pencil whipping your log books Thats not going to work at some DZ's, and your only fooling yourself That can get you very bad. Or even worse like the dude that fell out of his wingsuit with 100 jumps. R. They can tell One Jump Wonder

Hi steve We jumped with a guy that was wearing a jumpsuit with all the patch's around 73-74. After one jump we realized the dude got the jumpsuit from someplace There was a time when USPA came out with all kinds of achievement awards, #'s, and patch's, eagle. maybe a double eagle Crw and other silly stuff. IMO it boiled down to who you knew. I'm guessing the 400 way folks got special Jackets and lots of other swag. What is it like to do a stadium jump?
Krip replied to cocheese's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
We did a baby stadium jump about 15 -20 yr's ago. A Farm team for the seattle pro team. Cheney stadium, Tacoma wa, 20 way from 13K, we have the video but don't have a clue how to post it. Jumping a 7 cell cruise light, Loaded about 1 to 1 a lot of us were jumping without a pro rateing, didn't visit the stadium first, or even know the surrounding area. We did a practice jump before the stadium jump (RW) and had a quick briefing.
