  1. Sony Vegas Pro looks like great software that will do alot, but is it work the 500.00 if all I am really doing with it is editing tandem videos?? I'm asking, because if it will make editing tandems videos eaiser and significantly faster than sony vegas studo I'll look in to it more. 500.00 is just a lot of money for me right now
  2. If you were to ask me that question, I would say, either, whomever you did the most of your training with OR the instructor you feel most comfortable talking to. like you, I had a few instructors for AFF, that was the nature of the DZ I trained at. It's not always a bad thing to have more than one instructor as it gives you the perspective of more than one person. Additionally, we learn better from some people, simply based on a connection with their personality. So again, I would tell you to go to the AFF instructor who best knows your strength and weaknesses they may be able to assist you best, if your not comfortable speaking with that instructor than go to an instructor on the DZ who you can talk to and learn from, if he or she has questions about your skills and whats best for you, he can ask the instructor most familiar with you and then educate you. I applaud you for taking the advice to talk to and instructor rather than just anyone on the DZ, it's a smart move. Keep you ears open, listen and learn even if it's not what you hope to hear. Be safe. Chuck Bryan
  3. I got my the glove I ordered from cookie for my cx100 a couple of days ago. I got to jump with it yesterday, and Im really happy with it. Seems to be solid construction and the fit is good. I'm happy with it.
  4. If anybody coming to the boggie this weekend can get their hands on a hypeye d pro for the either new or used PLEASE let me know, I REALLY need one and they're out of stock everywhere locally. If you have an extra I can borrow it for the weeked or buy it from you I would appreicate it. If anyone has a new one at thier local DZ and can pay for it in advance I'll pay you back for it as soon as I get in Friday. I'll be working at the tandem tent. thanks Chuck Bryan
  5. Fuck you, akarunway. If you have a problem with a certain police officer or police officers take it up with them or their division of professional standards. However, to come across with the all cops are assholes just proves how much of a moron you are. "Tis far better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt" You just removed all doubt and again go fuck yourself sorry to hear about your niece, I hope she is okay.
  6. so what address can I put in the GPS that will get me to the airport?
  7. Thanks, I'm pretty sure I'm bringing mine up, I have to get a part for the brakes tomorrow, if I can find it I'll need the slot.
  8. Who's going??? I'll be there Friday morning. Are there still RV slots available?
  9. And then what? If you can't see the ground do you get you? No skydive is worth getting hurt, more over, no skydive is worth getting my tandem student hurt. I want to jump as much if not more than anyone on the plane but more importantly I want to tuck my son in to bed every night. The FAA is specific on cloud clearance there is no gray area in the reg. I'm just saying... I agree with Chuck Akers on this one Chuck Bryan
  10. Cookie, I sent you a PM about an issue I'm having thanks for your help.
  11. thanks, I don't know why I couldn't find that
  12. Anybody have an email or a way to contact them? I've emailed sally twice with no response. I can't find an email address or anyway to contact them on their website. It's kind of important I get a hold of someone there, well at least it's important to me. Chuck Bryan
  13. I Ordered a glove and a lens from cookie on the 12th I'm waiting for them to ship it now.
  14. okay, stupid question, is there an way to upgrade to the version you are talking about or do you have to buy the new version? Thanks Chuck Bryan
  15. How? Because the FAA checks records. Medical records and Police records(DUI). I don't know the answer to this: Does the FAA require people to sign HIPAA waivers (which authorizes someone to access another person's medical records)? Similarly, is it common for commercial air carriers to get their employees to sign HIPAA waivers? I'd think that would probably be required in order for the FAA and/or an employer to access a pilot's or other aviation industry employee's medical records. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. FAA medical application form 8500 You sign the bottom and authorize the FAA to check national driver data base thru state records. That's it. The FAA probably has to get a warrant for medical records. 5 years and/or $250,000 for false statements on form 8500 Because there is no national repository for medical records or precriptions at this point applicants would have to sign a hippa waiver and provide the name of thier family physician. So its as simple as saying "I don't have a family doctor" and there is really no way for the FAA to find out. Hopefully, eventually there will be an online system to find out what medications a person has been prescribed and by what health care provider which would greatly reduce the number of people getting multiple prescriptions for narcotics which is entirely another issue.... Chuck Bryan
  16. If you answer no on the application for a medical, there is a good chance you will be caught. The FAA does check medical records. Good luck getting a medical after you are caught lying on the application. I wouldn't need to lie about it, I don't take any medications. Let me know how the FAA would go about getting protected private medical information about a patient without being in violation of a little federal law called HIPPA I'm just saying, there are a large number of people of anti-depressants probably many of them who work in the industry. How many do you really think are going to say, I'll give up my job for a year so I can tell the FAA I'm taking an SSRI?" I would rather have a TI or a pilot who needs an anti-depressant than one who needs to be on one and isn't so they can keep their rating.... Chuck Bryan
  17. nobody is going to jump through those hoops, when asked "are you taking any medications" the answer is going to be "no" Lets just be real about it.
  18. Thanks for the info, I was wondering how much shipping was going to add to the order... I'm a little taller than you 6'2" but I dont think I can go wrong by ordering the wider lens, I think Ill go with that. Thanks for your help Chuck
  19. I've got a cx 100, I'm fairly sure Im going to go with the cookie handicam glove but I'm looking for some advise on the wide angle lens. Should I do with the liquid .25 or .29? Thanks for the advise. Chuck Bryan
  20. So nobody responded to my question about the vert glove, so Im assuming nobody is using that glove. That being said, what glove is recommended for the cx100? Let me know, thanks Chuck
  21. I'm in the market for a handicam glove for the cx100, I was looking at the Vert glove. Is anybody using it? If not any recommendations as to a good glove for this camera?? Thanks Chuck Bryan
