Im thinking, bad, bad idea. Spend the money, and buy a better built helmet. Boneheads are pretty reasonably priced . No matter what you plan to use, have an experienced camera guru at your DZ check out your set up before you jump it, so you dont loose your gear or your head due to riser snag

Im 602 and weigh in at about 215-220 Ive got a triathalon 220 and Im very happy with it, its a docile canopy it flies nice and gives me good stand up landings. The only thing some people dont like about it is that it snivels open Im pretty happy with the openings as its easy on my back. Good look and enjoy what ever you buy!

I just wanted to take a minute to say "thanks" Ive had a fist full of questions along the way to getting my gear together, every time Ive asked quade or someone always has a helpful answer even if the question my not make sense. I appreicate the help Ive gotten here and just wanted to say thanks!

okay gang there were already a few people that showed intrest in a DZ.com jump at skydive Deland. Lets pick a date! these are just my suggestions lets see if any one of them works for everybody so we can pull this off. Ive left a few weeks space between now and the first date so everyone who is comming from outside the local area can make plans. Pick the dates in order of preference and Ill figure it out suggestions: Sept 21 or 22 Sept 27 or 28 Oct 5 or 6 Oct 12 or 13 My vote is Sept 21 its a Saturday 5 weeks from now. Let get together and have some fun!!!! I dont have a huge apartment but if anyone needs a place to crash, Ive got floor space in Daytona Beach.

I am getting ready to buy a ring sight, Im am debating on the brent finley Concentric or the brent finley cross sight. There is a pretty significant difference in the price so I was hoping to get some advise as to wether or not I should spend the additional money on the Concentric. I am just starting to put all my gear together but hope to get good enough to eventually video 4 ways and tandems. Any advice would be appreicated. Thanks

looking through the names that appear on here it seems like there are alot of people from the Deland area. Is there any intrest in trying to put together a Dropzone.com jump at skydive Deland. I thought it might be fun to try. Let me know....

I agree with Quade, I lost a friend in the Sept. 11 attacks at approx. 0850 hrs. that day will be forever burnt in to the hearts and minds of many people, I know 0850 is early and it may not be possible, but lets see how many DZs can put up a load at that time and do a memorial jump for those that lost their lives in the attacks. I just thought it would be a nice gesture.

too many first:14:a bunch first jump in triple digits first time getting pied first time I did an 8 way first time my girlfriend hit another skydivers car (sorry andrea) first sit fly 2 way I attempted to get to 100 on Saturday but I could make it due to crappy weather, I got 9 jumps in that day an made # 99 and 100 today! Personal goals being met is a great feeling!

11 jumps to go, 12.00 jumps at deland today, Ill be there for the first load of the day and hopefully by time the beer light comes on Ill have #100 done. Its definitely a time of reflection. There is a BIG party at deland tonight if your close come on up. Wish me luck I really want to reach this goal today!

*** but I am going to talk to the web guy to get it updated*** Do you even know who the web master is for Skydive Delands web site? You might want to confirm those dates.I seriously doubt Mike or Bob is going to drop the prices for that length of time. I know they were talking about 12 dollar jumps August 10th (there is going to be a big party that day) but I dont think their going to do 12 dollar jumps from the 2nd to the 11th. But hey I hope youre right, that would be cool. Wont I look like an ass if youre right.

Ive been to the Skyventure Tunnel in Orlando, I had a good time and it helped alot with my side slides. My girlfirend went to the same tunnel before she went to AFF she did a 15 min coach package and subsequently finished AFF in 6 jumps. I thought that was pretty impressive

Well, disappointing announcement. I just called Skydive America because this offer seemed to good to be true, I didnt want to drive all the way to Delray and be wrong. They ARE NOT giving away free skydives tomorrow, they ARE only giving a discounted rate on their TANDEMS their going to be something like 139.00 Still, sounds like its going to be a good time but if you were looking forward to free jumps keep looking..... The guy I talked to at manifest said the promotional company screwed up the web site and they didnt fix it before they closed Friday. -
I was looking at wide angle lenes for my pc-100 I was wondering what the thought was about using a polarizing filter with the wide angle lens. I know the filter will protect the lens but are there other filters that people use instead of the expensive polarizing filters? thanks

okay guys Im sorry to ask this, Ive looked in previous post and cant find the exact answer to this question. Im looking to buy a good wide angle lens. I may even have to buy two to do what I want. I need one for shooting RW and tandems and such. I also would like one for shooting closer freefly jumps. What size lenses are commonly used for each of these types of jumps and who makes a good lens. I frequently see Keneko (spelling) lenses around the DZ are they worth buying? Thanks alot for all your help Ive learned alot in here!

I have a racer container and Im pretty happy with it. I bought it used and got a really good deal on it. Although, in its standard form its not ideal for free flying. You have a couple of options for modifications though, You can have "tuck Tabs" installed but I think thats pretty expensive your other option is to have "Ghee Flaps" I think I spelled that right. Basically they are flaps that are installed which completely cover the risers doing away with that exposed area. I had ghee flaps installed on mine and I had new velcro put on at the same time I think it cost me 50.00 give or take. Take a look at jump shacks web site I think they have some good information on there or give Anne or Suzy a call they are both very helpful
