If I remember this incident correctly, the issue wasn't that the defendant was in Mexico, it was that the mexican police were pissed off because chapman refused to turn the defendant over to the Mexican police after his capture. I agree with Chapman for not turning him over to the mexican police, He was not facing any charges in mexico, why turn him over to the corrupt police so that he could pay them off and again be a fugitive. I think the American government needs to attempt to inject on his behalf

I use Irfanview too. It works great, super easy

call the DZ, there are a few locals that rent out rooms. Also there is a Holiday inn not too far away that gives skydiver discounts.

its a good idea to have someone else sign your log. Especially if you want to go for ratings at some point I had someone else sign mine until I had 500 jumps. Thats just my .o2 have fun and don't die.

Thanks Andrea... The incident occurred about a week ago, I was at the tag office waiting my turn. The guy about two seats over from me had apparently been waiting so damn long his heart stopped beating properly. He went into cardiac arrest and fell to the floor. I started CPR and one of the employee's brought me an automatic defibulater device. I attached it and delievered 1 shock, his heart started beating properly and he started breathing a couple of seconds later. Apparently he was sitting up and talking when he got to the hospital. How he is now, I dunno but the poor guy was alive when I left him. Ive heard he doing fine.....

I'm sure you are not the only skydiver on anticoag. therapy It's not really an issue for most people. I would recommend simply contgacting your physican before skydiving again but I don't think he will recommend against it.

thats exactly the case Lou. The wider the lens the closer you have to be.

you can replace that plug with a 90 degree plug they sell at radio shack, its pretty easy. Im not sure they make a 90 degree adapter but I know they sell replacement plugs that 90 out.

Jeff, I think it would be a great idea, but as usual, you are going to have people undercutting the standard to make a buck. It would take a lot of organization but I agree it would be good for the masses.

lost my lap top in Sebastian
freefalle replied to freefalle's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I left my lap top at the Moe Bay Jamican resaturant. It is a compaq and it was in a green computer bag. By time I realized I left it the resturant was closed. By any chance did somebody happen to find it??? It'a not great lap top but it's all I have. however, its got ALL of my skydiving photography on it from the last three years, more importantly, its got every single photography I have ever taken of my son on it, those can never be replaced. PLEASE someone tell me they found it. I'll call the resturant tomorrow and see if some honest soul left it for me. I'm not holding my breath though. -
So, my girlfriend and I were on our way back from Tampa and decided to stop at Z-hills to make a much needed jump. I was amazed how nice it is and how pleasant the staff was. It was obviously a busy time for them with everyone there for vacation and such. Even though they were busy the manifest staff went out of there way to get me waviered, get my gear checked and get me ready to jump. Manifest was quick and efficient, two planes were running back to back, short waits for loads. TK was running manifest, I believe. I was truly impressed with the way the DZ was being operated and with the facilities available. My girlfriend went in to ask some questions about their AFF program, even though they were busy, they took the time to answer all of her questions, and they were nice about it. I met a few new people there, and made one great skydive before we had to head home. It was a good time, we will certainly be back.

hey Jason, I sent you a PM. give me a call when you can I have a suggestion for you.

It amazes me the way people think its okay to ask for a photo for free. Ask a packer to pack a rig for free or a rigger to pack a reserve for free, or ask a DZO to let you make a fun jump for free, see how that works out. Why should we give our work away for free?
