Ski jumping with a wingsuit...?
Tony-tonysuits replied to unclecharlie95's topic in Wing Suit Flying
his angle of attack looked like it was more drag than lift he was so head high and like James said he would land on the flat if he really got on it Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com -

Atmo before to take WS instruction??
Tony-tonysuits replied to freeflysoul's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I think learning every discipline is vital to becoming a good skydiver, it doesn't take long to get fairly good at any discipline to where your doing RW and having fun, all round awareness is gradual just dont do big ways till you feel good, For wingsuiting I wouldn't say Atmo was necessary, not on your belly, would help with backflying probably Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com -

I expect Jeff to backfly like crazy, but you were sure holding your own (for an old dude) Scott Thank you Scott, I'm not really old, just look it, I make jumpsuits for a living Tristan organized the sites and the edit, then Inga got us to go to Laturbrunnen, might go back there between Cochstad and Marl..... Nothing, we just don't like cross-posting. You should have put it in General Skydiving Discussions if there nothing wrong then why take it out? how is that more infomatinal? Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

yes, I love it so much I wanted to share it with everyone, I think the "RW" we're doing at the begining is the way to go, so I posted it in the RW and freeflying forums, A freefly moderator TOOK IT OUT, said it should be in the wingsuit forum, ha, where would you put a flatfly jump in a freefly suit? or vice versa so whats the harm in everyone looking at that video??? The pro's on an Intro. The arm wing is designed so that you wont have any interference going for the hacky, plus at pull time your arm movement isn't restricted like in a Reg wingsuit, to pull in an Intro is more like a reg pull without a wingsuit, ie a full salute like move, Though its possible to fly an Intro in a standard flat fly position, (Ive seen someone do it, he was in a full on boxman/frog position) its also easy to know where your hands need to be when "tracking" it has a big leg wing for a student suit so its possible to "get going across the sky" the only "con" I can think of is when backflying if you have your butt down, as is common to do, you dont feel the wing at the hip and as the arm inflation is weak when flying butt low you dont feel like your in a wingsuit apart from the flapping arm, this improves when you get your butt up, Oh and you dont get the pop after breaking off from the flock like you do in a bigger suit Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com
