Bummer to see that the suit is now listed in the classified's with "0" Jumps on it It is a nice looking suit and sorry to hear you never got a chance to even try it out.... Scott C. I was also really sad to notice that a few days ago. Lauren - I was looking forward to coming to xkeys a few times and flying with you this summer. wah - wah - wah Lauren...I cant believe your selling that lovely suit, I bet its to get money to go to Aussi Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

Why didn't someone tell me!?!? I'd been using it as a bladder buddy for those long rides to altitude. (At least I'll no longer have that ballast shifting around during flight!) it also allows a jet of air to cool any hot spots one might have.......

Right - I should have known Tony would think of that. oh I didn't think of it, me being practically tee total. I think Jeff N was the first, well we were jumping onto a beach with no beer sales so its a matter of necessity being the mother of invention ah? but actually as I think the arm zips are better done up, then my reasoning for em is for access inside the arm for repair Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

Flight Time: ~ 5min. 30 sec. Distance Covered ~ 7.5 miles --------------------- Good one Mike and Jarno, I asked Ben what he did on his attempt and he said 5mins 21 secs, so you got him there, But he flew 10 miles in his XS. Yes we know that depends on upper winds but he said they were low on his jump, Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

I think your right, Like a free flyer spreads there legs to slow down. I've done some narrower legs wings, but they take a lot of getting used to, very hard to keep a heading with a big "long" narrow leg wing. But guys who have em that hated them when they got them now think there the faster suits. we need rudders Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

QuoteJames. The figure, of course, is not accurate - might be a planeout, or viewing angle distortion, or both. But FLYING at its best! ------------------------------------------ why Yuri, so you like that ah? If what I read about that suit being like the one PF sent to Marl last year is true, then the suit in this pic is very similar to our biggest suit, so your now thinking "Mattress" is the way to go ?

I also like his accent, it all added to the fabulous content of his presentation, brilliant... sorry for my ignorance but can anyone explain what TED talks are? Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

so what didn't they like, the wingsuits or the launch? there surely not suggesting the Dutch space program is better are they? I find your post a trifle negative Jarno Anything that get wingsuiting into the public eye is beneficial. my favorite was the wingsuit down the ski slope, the 2 skiers there watching and the snow affected by his ground affect...... brilliant, Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

QuoteTony & Spot, You nailed it - the giant burble behind a big air mattress is identical to a burble behind windshield of motorcycle or convertible, which makes hats and smoke fly forward. But while with motorcycle or convertible this necessary comes with the ride, with wingsuit it's a totally unnecessary shame. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You said it, Range, they like to go up [relatively] and forwards on break off, to soar like eagle's, good fun after the effort and strain of flocking at 100 MPH +, 2 foot from your partner for 2 minuets, also an instructor likes to be able to out range the student, ok Loic can out fly anyone in a small suit, but we're not all 6.4 and 130 pounds [a guess

Drag coefficients of Convertibles and coupes of the same model car tested experimentally and published as part of the specs. Which one do you think has more drag? I know a station wagon going backwards has less drag than if it was going forwards, its more wing shaped going backwards ah so I bet the answer would be the convertable has more drag than the more arodynamic coupe Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

ok, sure, I'll give you that but only if you relinquish the name Thunderbird, but hey weren't Ford using that name before the American Indians?
-
I think the smoke is brought forward by the bigger suits, the curl over is larger... and hey my 2.94 to 1 in Marl was with the windsock hanging totally limp. Dont know what the winds were when Toby won with his 3.1 to 1 Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

I disagree, firstly you cant use the body position we use for RW to compare glide ratio, if the base scoots out of the door the last guy out the plane can never get "in" ...This is a mid range position to attain the largest flock or to do good rw acrobatics, whatever, The glide ratio's are over 3 to 1 in distance race's these days, how can you say that's not an improvement? I beg to differ, there will always be new suits, new canopy's and new electronics, it will never end, and to those that said its been done before, this design has [to my knowledge] never been done before, the way the long part of the wing joins to the short part of the wing is unique, But in defense of the above statement It has been done in airplane wings, Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

Havent got it on the website yet, cost will be $1099 and it IS released, I have 2 orders already :-) its the Thunderbird till further notice :-) Where does this suit fit with regards to suits like the Raptor and Intro? In regards to progression paths to more advanced suits etc. It was meant to go between the Intro and the Raptor, performance wise its closer to the Raptor it seems, but with an easier pull so we got that accomplished ref intermediate wingsuiters. It's a very easy suit to fly so that's a plus for intermediates also. Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com

not just less... waaaay less. first time I flew it, when I went to pull, I overdid the arm movement (just used to the usual strength I use) that my hand was almost going to the other side of my container :), it was pretty funny. How about flocking with it? Lots of speed, range in fall rates? Looks a lot easier at pull tome. Is the leg wing about the same size as the Raptor? The leg wing is wider and shorter than the Raptor Life is a series of wonderful opportunities, brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. tonysuits.com
