So...you want a tape recorder (VCR) that will be permanently hooked up to the computer running Premiere? You'll still have to pop the tape out of the camera flier's cam. Anyways I use a Sony miniDV deck like this, its a GV-D300, I don't think they make them anymore, but its great. Just about any camera would serve the purpose, somebody somewhere must have a cam that no longer works as a cam but may still serve as a 'target deck' for you. Hi Chrissay, What do you mean by a "DV deck"? A mixing desk with DV or firewire input? Never seen or heard of one (not for 'prosumer' use anyways). Plenty of analogue mixing decks out there. Or are you after a specific DV tape deck, eg a high end VCR?
