VAT is a tax, its what the 'T' stands for, as in Value Added Tax. What you were refering to is a charge, exactly like the charge you pay at tolls, on turnpikes, fast roads etc. "I mean you don't need to watch TV." Airflow off the top of the canopy is never exactly even, (its turbulent too) so I don't think handle selection is a huge factor in this. I think its just one of those things we'll have to suffer until someone comes up with a lightweight, compact swivvel that would sit between the canopy attachment point and D-bag/bridle. I'll take the point on the detail, wrt to science vs philosophy, but the principle still applies. Our scientific understanding is evolutionary. What would the Wright brothers have made of your avatar for example? What do you think Marconi or Bell would have thought of our current means of conversation...

Along the way to this sorry situation, belief in the competence of the international intelligence community has been shattered, our leaders' integrity has been called into question, respect for the UN has been diminished, and wedges driven between long standing allies.
