  1. I think you can only post one pic, and my photoshop is on my laptop in the car......... Cya D
  2. Okay....Those are the handles we were discussing a while back. The knot appears to be a variation on what we used to call a munter hitch in climbing, its a belay knot that is easy to lock off under load, which is what happened to me. The cause, brake line stows in the riser near the line attachment point, a loop from these passed over the toggle, which when pulled on opening, created the knot we see here. I post this in case anyone else is stowing brake lines in their risers........ The canopy was a Spectre loaded at 1.6+ I decided I couldn't land it safely, for a variety of reasons, and choppped. For the record my PD176R put me down nicely. A stand up in the peas if you will
  3. seocnd snap Cya D
  4. Okay folks, I know I phucqed up, lesson learned it won't happen again. By the way, I chopped it. Look n learn....DO NOT stow excess line in your risers....... Cya D
  5. You'd better take lots of beer brother, I'm sure there will be many, many firsts, send my lurve to every one out there for me Dave...And apologies for my absence. Cya D
  6. "Plan to be out at all before then?" Yes, a couple of midweekers, and the w/e 11/12. Pecan pie, death by chocolate, or lemon cheesecake please...
  7. 84 days, man you will have grown out of it before it arrives..... Cya D
  8. "you spend most of the dive on your belly but being a good free flyer gives you a lot more flexibility. " That rules me out then.
  9. Kia Ora Welcome back brother Pyke, don't it feel good?..... Cya D
  10. Hehehe....Ya got a few folk startled there young vidiot, 260mph indeed. Dude, if yer gonna try and make money or get free jumps, your gonna have to head for the light. The money in camera flying is all in AFF, tandems, and belly fliers. There's too many cameras on most FF loads to make a camera flier value for money , of course YMMV. So the advice I normally pass on to newbie cam people, and I'm by no means an expert, is to master the flying type that you are gonna film BEFORE trying to film it. Sadly dude that means going on your belly, and doing the RW thang.....Hey, I came over from there and its actually quite a lot of fun, and you will be a better person for it (plenty scope there then ), as they do say, 'Its all good". Cya D
  11. Och, okay then, my bad, but its not the first time I've been wrong, so I'm not buying beer for that one!
  12. "beer gods and sky gods go fix your beer karma quick and go buy beer.............." Okay, lets check this with Scotty Carbone, he made the rules...... BTW I bought beer at the weekend, first at San Marcos, and a case of Heiney for my rigger(--cutaway#4), and have promised loads of beer at Spaceland....It'll be my LAST weekend there for a while. Anyone who knows me knows I'm not shy of buying beer.... I've been travelling around a lot, visiting many new DZs, what better way to introduce yourself than to say "Hi, i'm Nacmac, have a Heiney"
  13. "laying in a corner trying not to cry and not understanding why I was so upset" That's quite a common thing caused by the release of pent up relief, emotion, stress etc. Its natural, and its best to let it all out. A good hug and some words of sympathy help a lot, glad somebody was around to help. Also pleased your still around to talk about it, line dump is my most feared mal, next to a main/res entanglement, I've heard of people being slammed unconcsious (sp?) by it. Last time I had a seriously hard opening, I lost a couple (6) lines, tore out a couple of cells, and chopped that beetch over Vichy. I hurt for a long time afterwards......and lost my freebag (why are they called free? they are expensive--joking). Pleased you made it home, and are well enough to relate this to us, nice flying sister...... Remember we can do everything right, and still get hurt........ BTW I chopped my spectre this weekend due to a brake line tangle mal, I didn't believe I could land it so kachink........My PD176 gave me a smooth opening and a sweet landing. Cya D
  14. Well, last night half canned from Heinekin, I checked my log books, my pro track, my various bits of paper, notes, diaries etc, and by dead reckoning, and copious use of a calculator, it now appears that I am beer exempt. So...FIRST, FIRST, FIRST.....Yeah, it feels good to be able to say it again! I got my Thousandth this weekend at San Marcos, it was with Skygeek, nice one Sam. Thanks San Marcos and the Gravity Rats for a cool freefly fest, and excellent party. Jessica, it was nice meeting you at long last, sorry it was all too brief, jump 1002 was a mal, and I had to get my shit to the rigger so I can jump wed evening....... The last beer will be out at Spaceland w/e 14/15/16June. Cya D
  15. Narce one my son....Cameras are fun. I use a 'fat' battery for ground stuff, showing jumps to chums etc, and use a 'slim cell' for actual jumping. It ensures your slim is charged and ready for rocknroll at a moments notice, just get into the habit of swapping em Ball going at 260 mph and your comfortable??? Assume a typo here
  16. "Wanting to do everything they see all the kewl people doing and wanting to do it NOW?" Thats about it in my opinion..... On getting confidence in belly flying, this is a good way to build awareness, and confidence amongst other jumpers, without the risk of higher speeds involved in FF. FF isn't just about head down, more and more people are incoprporating belly flying into their FF routines at competition level. FF is about TOTAL body flying, so your gonna have to learn belly flying sooner or later, along with sit, stand, back, and head down, why not use the RW more as a learning aid on the road to FF, and promote it as such, rather than a frustrating 'requirement'. 17. Hmm, dunno, I see him travelling the land on a crusade, enlightening the lay people, and laying the light people. His 'flock' would be very attentive they would follow him like, well, sheep, hanging on his every word, holding sermons in the hangar, he would be very popular turning water into beer. No I think he would make a good patron saint of post whores, someone newbies could look up to, and he would look up the newbies..........He could lay his hands on troubled boobies and remove the worries (and lingerie) from hotties....... Yup, I think St Clay would be good for the sport........ Cya D
  18. Check the online gear reviews by clicking on 'Gear' above this window...... Cya D
  19. "get over the sheep and see human females as normal pray" He prays, and prays, someday some god, somewhere will listen to and answer his prayers...... Is there a patron saint of post whores, if not I think we should cannonise Clay....... St Clay of the Forums....sound about right????? Cya D
  20. "when correctly viewed" That's in focus, and correctly exposed for non cam geeks..... Cya D
  21. Just tell em all skydivers are as pretty as you, and they will be signing up in their droves Cya D
  22. "The 5 day rule is that you have to go 5 days without posting anything sexual - including mentioning boobies!!" Ilike a challenge but thats a bit much, even for me, the only way to comply would be to hide the mouse, anyone wanna play find the mouse???
  23. Try the 0.3 from Max Cohn, I have one and its only slightly larger in diameter than the PC7 focus barrel ring, and about 8-10 mm protrusion. From memory of the roll cage this should work. Cya D
  24. "If you'd go to happy hour like the rest of us " Don't know 'bout Paul, but I'm firewalled out of the pub.....sulk poot...... So what's the 5-day rule? Cya D
