  10. There's a reason to throw a WDI, we prounce them 'woody' fnuurrk fnuurrk, this is just pure fun,and will prolly drift further too...."before jumping" the issue might be ingestion into a turbine intake. With WDi runs the AC is already in the air, so no risk to the AC. If somebody sent the turbine tits up due to this, they would be as popular as a turd in a swimming pool..... I'm still fascinated by the imagery tho... Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.

    question

Yup, its about 16 miles down the coast from me, and it is as impressive as it looks. My place is a little more humble though , but there's always room for visitors. Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.

Zen, The Mel Gibson take is very good, it was filmed at Dunottar castle, about 20 minutes from my wee hoose. See attachment, Liz would love this place... Obviously Hamlet is not a patch on Macbeth....For obvious nationalistic reasons...... Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.

    question

I was born of 'mining trash' stock, but my Pappy vowed he'd never work underground, so he became a teacher instead. Well after all that cheek you will be lucky to get some warm dregs of flat bud lite off me..., Let alone a few cool Frostys, and the odd shot of Jager. And as for that Sabre I was gonna lend you, well, there must be someone else out there who needs a canopy right now..... You Gulf Of Mexico scum you....If you guys knew how to do proper oilfield work, I wouldn't have to be here to help you out would I? haahahahaaa clunk, falling off chair laughing...
  19. Easy answer, post whoring..... I transmogrified into a Pooh Bah around about Rachill's 500th jump posts....... Pooh to yooh.... Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
  20. Okay Shortbus, what he other guys are saying. If you are 'coded' to AWS standards, all the grinding stuff is inherent in the coding tests, so don't dwell on it. Also don't try and preach/teach the potential employer eg "Protection of self and others: Always wear saftey glasses once entering the work area and watching out for other to make sure they are efficently protected. Wearing a welding helmet with a shade 10 lense when welding and when cutting goggles with a shade 5 lense. Proper body, arm, and leg protection from sparks or hot peices of metal. No loose clothes when grinding to prevent them from getting caught in the wheel." Its starting to sound like you have simply quoted from sort of course paper or instruction manual... simiarly "Flame Cutting: Properly using an Oxy/Acetleyen torch to cut through various thinkness and lengths of metal. Changing the tanks if they run out, Cleaning the torch tip to ensure the cleanest cut posible. Also to be aware of objects around the hoses to prevent fires or explosions." could be replaced with "proficient in the use of Oxy acetylene cutting equipment". etc etc etc. "I am very confident in my welding ability and will back my welds 100% with absolute confidence" You can't say this, ever, even die hard pros won't say this sort of thing, its why NDT (non destructive testing) exists.... As youare probably not a well known welder, it is highly likley that you will have to undertake what we used to call a trade test. Its no biggie, but your safe and proficient working practises will be scrutinsed then...... I've worked with a lot of welders in my time, and basically know what recruiters are looking for in the resume (we call them CVs). Why don't you rework your CV and send it to me, I'll check it out for you, and 'flower it up'..I'll PM you my real e-mail addy, so send your reworked res there, and I'll be able to send you back a re- formatted one..... Ice old, straight from the freezer is how our Teutonic cousins quaff it, particulary pleasant at breakfast.....The Gremans sure do know how to drink, almost as good at it as us Scots..... question

"Why, the answer is so simple." Well to continue in a Hamlet frame of mind.... "This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. Farewell: my blessing season this in thee" Shakespeare rawks..... Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.

    question

Ah, Hamlet.. "To be, or not to be: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles," I say 'not to be' especially when we are taliking about being bored at work...... To beer or not to beer, that is THE question...... Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
