Yup, most metal detectors are looking for density of metal... Plus, has anyone here ever heard of ceramic blades? And how easy it would be to transform a dytter into a barometric detonator, similar to the one that dropped the Pan Am flight over Lockerbie......... Could be the case Pop, I don't try and figure these things out they scramble my brain, I just accept certain weird things as weird, and thats it.......Only the truly insecure require explanations for everything....... Ooooooh this is even wierder...... I used to have nigtmares about being crushed. I mentioned them to my dad one day over a few drams of quality malt, and he admitted to having exactly the same dreams as I described...... His father, my grandfather, was killed in a mining cave-in roof collapse, when my dad was very young........ I don't like working underground...... I didn't vote, I don't wanna die..... Starvation would be a no no for me, it would take too long Been burned badly in my time, and can't recommend it. Almost drowned as a kid, very panicky, fighting for air, not nice. Suffocating I guess would be similar. Bleeding would be long and slow, and depending on the nature of the wound, sounds agonizing. I had a friend sever his femural artery, and died from internal bleeding on a demo gone wrong...Not pretty. I've read about climbers almost freezing to death in various accounts---check out Touching The Void sometime, its a great read, even if you don't climb---so freezing would be my preferred option here.... One of the most beautiful things I ever saw was a dawn cloud inversion (the clouds stay in the valleys, while the peaks stay clear) around the Zermatt valley from the Matterhorn...... It looked like all the mountain peaks were islands sticking up through a sea of pink, purple, blue etc....... We sat and watched for about 1 hour then hosed ourselves for the ascent and had a bit of an epic time later on...... hehehe, red bull and vodka rawks...... At one ofthe bars at my home town we get rbv happy hours when the stuff is sold by the pitcher. for about 15 bucks for each jug...!!!! Kick starts the evening's partying, but beware...If you wake up with a hangover, there's virtually no chance of sleeping it off.
