I think we are at cross purposes here. Region coding is different from PAL/NTSC issues.

Hi Lori, I think its a region thing, NZ is a Pal country, but has different region codings on the discs. So, I can't load up on cheap DVDs from Singapore, Bangkok etc, and play them on a non-multi-region DVD set back home in Scotland. Its really silly as Multi region DVD players are as cheap as chips these days, and most existing players can be hacked to get around it. Its a silly scheme and should be abandoned. Y'know what Ron? I am inclined to agree with you on this matter. "No one in NK wants to use nukes...they just want food and aid." I see the NKs as playing the brinksmanship game here. I suspect they are developing to dismantle, in return for aid. EG if they chuck 40 billion at a weapons programme, they may get 80 billion to stand it down. Whether it is for food, or industrial development doesn't really matter, I think they want to "come in from the cold". It also depends on what you class as a 'violation', for example, maintaining the death penalty will count against a country if one tries to add up their 'human rights score card'. I'm in petrochemicals (oil business mostly) so I see a fairly bright future in China. Their domestic consumption is going to continue to increase, I build oil rigs, refineries etc, so I will be busy.....
