    I have been in that situation with close to that amount.. Several Thousand Cash. Out of town on business and waiting in the Lobby my Hotel for a Cab. One small couch in the lobby and older guy was sitting there. After a few minutes he gets up to meet meet someone and they head to elevator. A Little while later I sat on the couch still waiting on that cab and find a LARGE wad of cash in a money clip right where the guy had been sitting. All $100`s. My first thought was how the hell do I get this back to the guy. I asked at the desk if they knew who the guy that had been sitting there was. They did but would not tell me his room. So I had them call up to his room and have him come down. Asked him if he lost something. He said he had been tearing his room apart looking for his money clip when the phone rang. He thanked me and offered me $100. Told him to keep it, My cab was waiting. Never did find out why he was carrying so much cash.

    We are going to try once again at Sunset on January 19th to get Lee`s Ashdive done at Skydive the Farm. Please hope for better weather this time and come out if you can. Be Rude Not to. I started a thread in Events but I want to get the word out to some of you postwhores that never leave Bonfie.

    Did my first couple Jumps back in 1992 WITH my Dad. Static Line at a place still using Piglet-23 Sport Rounds. Dad landed on the Runway (Asphalt + Round - PLF = Broke Back) and that ended his skydiving career (Came close to ending his walking career.) Mom?? She will not get in a plane much less jump out of one.

    Yep. If it was some dumb ass drug dealer who left a wad of cash on top of his car and drove off, leaving it on the street, hell yeah I'll take it, after making sure he's really gone. I would too - but I wouldn't keep it . . It would end up at an orphanage or a battered woman's shelter. Bullshit!! You would give the money right back to him!!

    The real Power the labels always had were the distribution channels. Those channels are now obsolete. Independent and small Labels can now put their products in front of just as many people as the Major labels. As major Names/Acts contracts with major labels expire I believe they will realize this and start either creating their own Labels and/or going with smaller labels that will give them a larger share of the revenue.

    When it endangers others, it is time to step up. Someone want to get baked after hours, whether on Beer, Liquor or Grass.. That is their business as long as they are not jumping the next day while still intoxicated. IF they are, Time to say something. If they are doing it during the day and trying to still get on loads, Time to say something. Someone with known violent tendencies and that likes to start fights should not be allowed on a DZ. However there are times when "He needed an ass whoopin" is a valid defense. Theft should never be tolerated and if the person is caught I will repeat what I just said, Sometimes “He needed an Ass Whoopin” is a valid defense.

    It would suck.. Plain and simple. The biggest problem I see here is that so few do the majority of the posting (Yes, I am part of that problem). There are too few new people coming in as it is. To change to even more of an elitist foundation would make it worse. I would rather find a way to bring new people out of lurk mode and into contributing than look for ways to exclude people. This site is alt like a virtual DZ, There are people I like, People that I have no opinion on and people that I dont like. Just like everywhere else. Even if people had to "Sponsored" I dont think that would change.
