  1. You mean sit around and whine about Skyride?? Isnt that what DZ.com is for. In my mind, That is a dead issue right now. Bitch, Whine, Moan and complain all we want.. Skyride and their DZ`s are part of the USPA and will continue to be as long as there is a GM program. To me the real issue is that the USPA seems to have lost perspective on who they are supposed to representing.
  2. I will come, but from what I have seen.. I do not have any false expecations of them listening to anyone but the Group Member DZO`s. What do you hope to accomplish by going? Do you really think they will listen to you when they will not even talk to thier own RD`s and ND`s? (Them= the Executive Commitee)
  3. It looks to me like the GMDZ is the only thing the USPA represents anymore. Sad but true. I also dont see an easy answer. Skydivers in general are very apathetic and generally dont care about anything as long they can jump. In reality, the vocal minority speaking out here will have very little effect. If people protest by not renewing their membership, They are screwed as they cannot jump at most DZ`s. The USPA has the general membership by the proverbial balls and they know it.
  4. Shouldn’t that be the other way around? I thought the organization was there to "protect" Skydivers. I think the organization may have forgotten that. Do you really think the current BOD and Executive Committee have the "members" best interest at heart or are they more concerned about just protecting DZO`s? Do you think the USPA would even consider listening to the Average Joe Jumper anymore? From everything I have seen, I seriously doubt it.
  5. There unconfirmed Rumors That the USPA has settled their lawsuit with Skyride. The USPA has not commented on this or confirmed it in anyway that I am aware of. However the Owner of Skyride took his entire Home DZ out recently to celebrate their Victory. All 3 Skyride owned DZ`s were reinstated as Group members and Cary Q (Owner of Skyride) was given a Lifetime Membership to the USPA. That is what they (Skyride and ASC) are saying. There is a lot of unconfirmed speculation about how much money the USPA paid skyride as part of the settlement and what other terms there were. Many people have speculated that the USPA actually had very little say in the settlement and that their Liability Insurance Company was the one that made the deal. Unfortunately we may never know the entire truth.
  6. Happy Birthday Gorgeous!! Hope you have a wonderful day!
  7. I always preferred "Hu Ha, Hu Ha, Hu Ha!!" Cause we all know it is all about the Hu-Ha!!
  8. Only when thinking of you. (OK.. And maybe a few Skychicks,.. But you were always in the mix somewhere.)
  9. I siad you could be MY Personal Fluffer at The Farm. I prefer to help maintain the highest possible standards for the Farm. Before you can be named the Official Farm Fluffer, You must first pass the interview process and demonstrate your competence for the position.
  10. Posters like that can present a real conundrum when trying to figure out if they really think like that or they are just trying to stir shit.
  11. That girl is sick I tell you, Just plain not right.
  12. I was just starting to like you... and then you went and made me open a pic of Daves Ass.
  13. Send me her Number. I will text her a picture of my Nuts.
  14. A couple other Classics: Last time I saw Nipple Boy, The bouncers from the Pink Pny were opening the Door with his head as they tossed him out after he had passed out face first into a strippers ass.
  15. From: nipplboy@aol.com (NippLBoy) Subject: Nipple Boy on INSTANT DOWNPLANE safety Date: 1995/09/12 Message-ID: #1/1 sender: root@newsbf02.news.aol.com organization: America Online, Inc. (1-800-827-6364) reply-to: nipplboy@aol.com (NippLBoy) newsgroups: rec.skydiving Safely Performing an Instant Downplane Well, it feels good to be back skydiving after my last injury due to my AAD. I took the cypress out myself and had a hell of a time cramming my reserve back in the container. That is better than paying a rigger. Since I needed to do a hop-and-pop for recurrency, my friend and I decided to so an instant downplane. We needed compatible canopies so we borrowed our jumpmaster's stiletto 120 and saber 120. Because these are high performance canopies, we figured we had to tie ourselves together in order to hold a downplane. In the airplane, I tied my friend's feet to my leg straps. We exited a Mr. Bill around 2500 feet where I deployed my canopy first. Luckily my friend was not wearing a helmet because when I drug him out on exit, he scraped and banged his head against the door. Had he been wearing a helmet, his head would probably have gotten caught in the door with me tied to his feet. We went off tumbling so I deployed my saber before we got too much air speed. We had a beautiful opening despite our instability. My friend then pulled out his canopy he free packed with no slider for the instant downplane. I am not quite sure how or why, but his canopy spun up into mine and we wrapped. Luckily we were still above 1500 feet so he cut his canopy away and it managed to free itself from my canopy. Since I figured out how to pack the reserve on my rig, I told him I would pack his reserve if he used it for the instant down plane. He then deployed his reserve and it opened. Luckily, it was a PD 126 so we were still somewhat compatible. This time we went into an awesome downplane. There was no way we could have held on without being tied together. The tension in the rope and our vertical speed was incredible! At around 500 feet, my friend pulled out his knife to cut the rope, but the idiot dropped it! Not knowing how to land a downplane, I cut away my main. My friend and I were screaming out of the sky under his reserve. Fortunately my friend flew over to a pond next to our DZ where we safely landed. It was a great jump and I learned a lot from it. In summary I learned... 1) Each jumper should have a hook knife or have enough to share. 2) Make the connecting rope releasable. 3) Use a reserve that is compatible with your main. 4) Don't use helmets when there is a chance you may get hung up. 5) Always consult your jumpmasters before each jump. 6) Allow plenty of altitude for such maneuvers (i.e. 2500 ft). 16. Chromeboy could be entertaining as well.
  17. Funks is the one I miss the most. Followed closely by Artist Callidian (Or whatever his name was). Oh and WhtashisFaces MOM. That one was Funny too.
  18. There are people associated (or formerly Associated with Skyride) that would love to see this thread bogged down with useless information. Please try to restrain from responding to these people. Anyone that cannot see that what Skyride has done is wrong (Fraud, Lies, Deception, Theft) is NOT going to be swayed by anything anyone posts here. The original "What can we do about Skyride" got to be so large that it had to be closed. If we continue to allow Skypapa and others to Bait us, The same will happen here. So what can we as Jumpers do about Skyride? We can talk to DZO`s and make sure they know how we feel about this issue. If your DZ takes skyride and there is another DZ nearby, Please consider your options. As long as DZO`s are willing to accept Skyride certs, This problem will not go away. The legal battles are being fought. The USPA APPEARS to have settled with these guys and allowed them back into the USPA and given the owner of Skyride a Lifetime membership (This has NOT been confirmed by the USPA yet. ) The Arizona Lawsuit is still pending to the best of my knowledge. The Georgia Attorney Generals Office appears to have backed off for the moment. There ARE other things in the works on the legal front. Please... Do not take the troll bait when it is posted here. Please post any and all suggestion and comments but trying to discuss these issues with people that do not think Fraud, Lies, Deception and Theft are wrong is pointless and will only serve bog down any useful information that may be found in this thread.
  19. Isnt the Chinese Version where they are split like --- instead of like (l)?
  20. Just do what I used to do. Anytime someone sends you a text, reply with a Picture of your Nuts. (I had to quit that though, Shane wouldnt stop texting after he figured that out. I think he has a whole folder full of J`s Nuts by now)
  21. Buy a Blue one or a Red one. The Black ones are really outdated.
  22. CHANGE In Location!! Just found out that the Pink Pony SOUTH has delayed thier opening. We Will be going to the Old Pink Pony instead. (I think they heard we were coming and wanted to protect thier shiney new Club so they put off opening it up till after our Christmas Party!!) So the New and Improved UPDATED Plan... Meet at the Pink Pony NORTH (On Buford Highway) Friday December 7th around 9:00pm. Last year we had about 30 Atlanta Skydivers show up and I think Astanga was the only one thrown out. We must be mellowing wiith age. Hopefully everyone will come on out and have a few Shooters with us.
