That is NOT true!! That can also be taken care of in the plane on the ride to altitude. Seriously.. Tandem is not absolutely require to be first. There are several Training methods available. Talk to you LOCAL dropzone and they will tell you which options they offer.

I had a system crash once immediately after Joining a Tournament. Took me over an Hour to get the system back up.. Logged in and discovered I had come in second!! Never played a Hand! I strongly suspect that NEXT Friday.. It would be much easier for many of us to arrange a Nooner. Although Spence may get a little upset if he has to shut down the flight line cause everyone is off getting a Nooner!!

No shame in walking away from a fight you cant win. Sounds like you were in a bad place to begin with. Once you realized that things were going bad and you were out numbered.. It was time to walk away regardless of who was right. It took me a lot years and alot of ass whippings to figure that one out. The last one could have easily killed me and almost did. There is a time to stand up and be a Man... But not when you can’t possibly win. Learn the difference and don’t be afraid to walk away. You get into an Argument with someone and they have several Buddies with them and you don’t... Walk away if possible, If not make sure that you take them out as quickly and as devastatingly as possible. There is no such thing as a Fair Fight. Grab a Brick, Stick, Board or Bat. Grab something and start swinging. Don’t ever forget that if you are in a street fight, you may be fighting for your life.

Where is the After Party??

The issue that you want choose to ignore is that I was told it would take two to three weeks to process my application. Why would it take that much time to process a renewal?? This is what I do not under stand. What is there to Process? She pulled up my information.. Took my credit card info.. Mark it paid and fax me a receipt... Why two to three weeks to do that?? They charge $5 to Fax you a Conformation.. Why do they need Two to Three weeks to do so after they have your credit card info unless you pay an extra $20? This is what I dont understand. They want to charge a late Fee.. Fine. Charge a Late fee but don’t say it will take two to three weeks to process my application before you can fax a receipt unless I pay an extra $20.

I dont think that one phone call in 5 years is much of a burden. They could have suggested exactly what you said. They didnt. They could have told me what Mike Mullins Posted about other means of comformation. They didnt. Just "You want comformation in two to three weeks.. $5, You want comformation sooner.. $20". This is what I get from a member supported organazation?? for sending a receipt?? And they could help themselves by informing their members of the options. To Skinny: Too late. I already did. My complaint is not about the Money. It is about being told that it takes two to three weeks to process a Renewal to an existing Membership. She had the screen up with my info. Mark it paid, Hit print. How does this take Two to Three weeks?? Another complaint is that I wasn’t told that by the USPA that none of this was necessary as Mike Mullins suggested. It seems that the USPA has picked up a thing or two from Skyride. Whats next.. a Big Card Fee?? Extra Attitude Fee?

I agree.. Lets look at the Business side of things... A Members of USPA, we are their customers. In 5 years as a Member, I have made one (1) phone call to them. That phone call was to continue to give them my business. I was late, So I was willing to pay for their trouble of faxing me conformation that they had received my payment. Something any BUSINESS or Member organization should be willing to do. They want my business don’t they?? Instead I was told it would take two to three week to "Process" this. This is what I am complaining about. Why on earth should it take two to three weeks to process a payment and send a receipt?? Charge me for sending the receipt?? fine. (even tough I have never heard of even that from any business). Charge me a Penalty for being late.. Fine. Call it what it is but don’t piss on my back and tell me its raining. Why was I not told that I didn’t even need to do any of this as Mike Mullins pointed out?? I was talking directly to the USPA. If a Business was run this way, it would fail very quickly. Yes, I do believe that this complaint is very justified. I have paid the money. No Big deal. The only real looser was the AirPort Defense fund. I always send $100 every year for Dues, First Class Magazine Delivery and the balance to the AD Fund. This year the same $100 went for Dues, Magazine and Expedite fee to expedite something that should not have taken any extra effort on their part. The Dues were paid, just send me a receipt.

Mr. Mullins, Thanks for your response. I understand that this was caused by poor planning on my part. I Assumed that in 2006, A renewal to an existing membership was not big deal. I didnt think a lot of Planning was required for such a simple thing. I thought call up, Give then credit card info and Pay a little extra for them to fax me a receipt of my payment. No big deal. An extra fee to fax me conformation that the dues were paid is completely understandable. What is not understandable is being told that it will two to three weeks to "Process a Renewal" and then if I pay an extra $5 they will fax me conformation of my payment at that time or for an extra $20 they will fax it to me sooner. It is also sad that I have learned much more here on what my options were than when I called the USPA directly. I was not aware that could have done the Post marked or Signed form. I would bet that many members are also not aware of that. Maybe the organization that we support with our dues could tell us things like that.

I am informed that it will take two to three weeks to process my application.. WTF?? A Renewal?? What is there to process? I told them I wanted to jump this weekend. Whats the deal?? Why so long to mark the computer screen that they already up right there as they took my info as Paid?? I understand them charging $5 to fax confirmation that you are up to date with them... No big deal. But then an extra $20 to "Expedite my Application"?? What application... Its a Renewal!! This is crazy. I feel like I am being fleeced by here. Can anyone give me a rational reason why a Renewal would take two to three weeks to “Process”? I could understand two to three weeks to mail out the card.. But what is there to Process??

This accident was NOT a skydiving accident. It was a general Aviation Plane Crash reguarless what the local Flyboys want to call it. Again you are comparing current skydivers to a group from over a Decade ago. Some things have changed. Canopies today have a greater range as they are now made from ZP (Zero Porosity) material. Most canopies in the mid-90`s were still made from F-111 material which is a Porous fabric (More Drag). Also most canopies are now 9 Cell as opposed to the 5 and 7 Cell designs used back then. A 9 Cell ZP will fly much further than a 7 Cell F-111 and generally get better penetration into a head wind therefore cutting down on off landings. Since it was a General Aviation accident, I dont see your logic in them going after Skydiving. The accident was a plane crash, not a skydiving accident.

You are correct. General Aviation is dangerous and cost the city Millions. It should be banned. Your example has nothing to do with Skydiving. it was a general aviation accident. Do you have a $1,000,000 insurance policy that protects the city if you have a plane crash?? Sounds like you should or else you shouldnt be able to use the airport.
