and would you believe..my strongest subject in middle and high school was my weakest today. I blew reading comprehension out of the water and cut a really good score in the english...but i lacked in MATH! I never had a score lower than a 94% in any kind of math test! The good thing about it..i can pay 17 dollars and retake just that portion of the test and score above what i need to go right into college algebra. It just sucks though...but at least im finally going back to school. Im getting my associates in arts at the local community college then transferring to the University on North Florida to attain my Bachelor's in Information Systems with a focus in Information Security. New to me anyway. 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. Some of you know that i plan on doing a full custom paint job including the interior of the car. The only thing i have in the car now is a cold air intake, exhaust, and an air/fuel guage, and a temp gauge. Im wondering if any of ya'll know anything about automotive paint. I plan on turning my car into a show car. With that comes custom painting...something i dont have a whole lot of experience with. I plan on doing my interior and the exterior. The car is a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse spyder(convertible). Im communicating with a shop in California and they will be custom mixing the paint for me...for a price of course. I asked him how much i would need and he just mixes it...he doenst apply it. So if anyone has any experience with painting cars that could give me a good estimate as to how much i would need i would be very grateful. Its going to be a bright orange color...and im changing the interior from black to orange which i know will take at least 3-4 coats. The exterior will be sanded down and primed. I went through something similiar. It was roughly a year and a half ago. I met this girl through a mutual friend. We talked for about a week before actually going out on a date. Everything was going fine. Went did the traditional dinner and a movie date. Everything was fine till we went back to her house. It wasnt really dirty...completely unorganized...but the worst part about it...ROACHES!!!!!!!!!! Just imagine the movie "Joe's Apartment" but completely in reality. I was in the house for not more than a few minutes and they started crawling all over me. They were all in the furniture..literally hundreds of them crawling all over the walls. Typically roaches dont bother me...but in mass quantities i dont see how that cant gross anyone out! Needless to say there wasnt a second date. I just want to say that amazon.com is AWESOME. I ordered the chilton's book for my car from amazon because they were the cheapest. Well..i get the "item shipped" email this morning and it was the wrong shipping address. So i call the customer service to see what they can do. Not only did they send me another book to the correct address....but orginally the first order was due to arrive november 24th.....now...with the new order i will get it on the 21st...and it didnt cost me anything extra! Its very rare to have a company do that without getting rude with them on the phone. Im extremely impressed by them and i am going to use them for anything else i need to get. I kind of touched on that slighty..but i agree with you too. If the court case is a woman trying to get child support she will have the sympathy of the court. If the roles were reversed...with the man trying to get the child support there would be no sympathy because he is just that..a man...and a woman is still to this day is still considered by society the "weaker sex". Even though women are occupying jobs typically held by men. They are serving in the military fighting the war on terror....but they are still considered weak? WFT! They should not be given sympathy when they have demonstrated over the years to do 85% of the jobs typically held by a man. well.my girl is a single mom...but as stated in the original post this is not a problem with me. my gf's mom's bf told me about it..and i have never heard of that before....unless the father legally adopted the child. I can see if adoption took place..then he is legally responsible for that child. But if he did not legally adopt the child then he has no financial obligation to that child. Who is to say that a woman that has children cant go out...find a rich man...fake a relationship for the minimum amount of time it takes to establish this "illegitimate fatherhood" then end the relationship and the man is stuck with child support for the remainder of the time until they turn 18...all because he was in a relationship that was never real in the first place...but if a court thinks that it was they will rule in her favor!? That...to me...is complete bullshit. A lot of women out there are very devious and willing to do whatever it takes to not work and have a man take care of children that in most cases are not his. Dont get me wrong...there are a lot of hard working women out there and they all have my respect...but all it takes is a few bad ones to give the good ones a bad name. I think i would be an avid support for the Men's Rights groups. Its deception, lies, and just plain unfair...like some have already stated in this post. If the DNA does not match the child's...then unless adoption is gone through...the man should not be legally responsible for that child unless he chooses to. JMHO. Disclaimer. This post has nothing to do with me. This question came up when i was talking to a guy i worked with. Is it true that if a child is not yours..but you raise it for a certain amount of years..if the relationship ends is that person still responsible to pay child support even though the child is not theres? And if so..what is the amount of time that it would take? Again...this is not a post relating to me..i just want to satisfy my own curiosity. Thanks

Thank you for the different views and opinions. Due to the work schedules of us both sometimes im home to help them and sometimes she is. One thing i left out is that she is a 9 year old and only in second grade. Her sisters daughter is a year younger and a grade ahead. She needs to start really learning the material now because if she dont and she fails another year and passes the rest she will be prolly the only 20 year old at a high school graduation. The math part isnt that bad at all. Its more along the lines of reading and spelling words. I know im not the parent but i still do care about her kids(Which that in itself is a rarely occurs nowadays) and i want them to be able to succeed in life without having to depend on other people. OK...heres the situation. Im with a woman that i really think is going to be long term. This being the case im actively engage in her children's lives. One of which is the point of this post. When she has homework she seems to think that my gf and i will do the work for her. I really do not believe in that because its not teaching her to think for herself. Now we have not gotten into a fight over it... just a disagreement. She wants to help her and do a majority of the work for her. I disagree with this. For instance..with her spelling words. Her assignments every other day are to write a sentence containing the spelling word. She would give her a sentence and have her write it. The way i believe in doing this is to have her make up a sentence and then i would help her with any other word that she had trouble spelling. This way she actively uses her brain vice just writing down what my gf tells her. Another instance. She always makes fun of her 5 year old brother because he is just beginning to grasp to concept of addition and subtraction. This happened just today. She comes to me to help her with simple addition...and when i say simple addition i mean the sum is never more than 15. Sorry for the lengthy post but i wanted to make sure i covered both sides and not just my own. Am i wrong for trying to teach her to think on her own vice just doing what my gf tells her to do..which in essence is doing her homework for her? Edited for minor corrections. well..i talked to the va hospital today and they said that i have to come down there and "apply" for the benefits..then wait 5 business days..then take the slip of paper they give me to the dental department..then ihave to wait to get an exam(even though i have my up to date medical and dental record with me) then i have to wait who the fuck knows how long to actually get in to have the surgery. And for the person that said just go to a normal oral surgeon...are you aware that the typical cost of having just one wisdom tooth removed is ~1500 dollars....and i have three.
