oh yeah i did the same thing. I grew up in Pennsylvania. THe first car i bought on my own was a 91 dodge daytona turbo. It had T-Tops. well yeah..my dumbass drove around all through winter with the heat blasting with the tops off. I think everyone i passed did nothing but stare! i will deff do that! Its a blind date kinda thing but the thing that has me interested is the fact that she went into hooters to pick up wings to take home and she was approached by one of the waitresses. She told her that they are hiring. So she went to get the manager and he came over..talked to her for about 3 minutes and hired her on the spot. SHe filled out the application and took her ID and SS card up the next day. SHe starts next week! And i have frequented every hooters in jacksonville and none of them have even remotely ugly waitresses/hostesss' so i know she has to be attractive. Well..he has two methods of purchasing. the first(which is the one i did) is sending him the cores first them he would send the rebuilt ones. Now i didnt send him the cores yet only beause we talked on the phone for like 30 minutes just about movies and stuff cuze he siad he was about to watch "Jumper" with his wife and i told him it was a very good movie IMO. He said i seemed like a trustworthy person..which i am...so he didnt make me do method 2...which is adding 200 dollars to the price...that he would refund after recieving the cores back. I told him the day i get the rebuilds in i would get the cores back out to him. Thats one thing about me...my word is my bond. Thats how i was raised and thats the standards i uphold myself too! hell yeah..the heater works outstanding! AC is ice cold too! I use convertible top cleaner on mine. It works beautifully. I went through 4 lint rollers though cuze when i was with my ex the neighborhood cats like chillen on my top...which just made it look ghetto. It wasnt till after i left her that i was able to make it look good. The cleaner is time consuming if ya do it correctly...but it is well worth the time and money spent. Well...we call your types "clock whores" where i work..and my leadman actually called me one a few weeks ago...lol. Im always the first to volunteer for overtime. The good thing about my job is i work 4/10 hour shifts. So at the end of thursday i already have my 40 hours in. Anything after that is overtime. Funny thing is..if i work 23 hours of overtime i more than double my paycheck. Lately though there hasnt been any overtime due to it being summer...and no yacht owners want to put their vessels in the yard to have maintainance performed on them. We have a quote at work..."its either feast or famine"...meaning either 70 hours a week or just the normal 40 hours. They are anticipating work really picking back up here in the next few months...and i cant wait! SUCK! I had to take both of mine out yesterday and lemme tell ya...to get to them i had to strips everything from my front seats back to the control box for the top. It took more time getting to them then actually removing them. I realised after taking them out that the internal gear(the gear that turns the gear that actually raises and lowers the top) was stipped. It would turn with no load on it...but when i held the outer gear and operated it...it wouldnt move. So i go online. THe dealerships was 475 dollars PER MOTOR! So i shop around and the cheapest i found them was 329 dollars a piece. Well..im about to give up and say screw it cuze i cant afford that right now....but i see this one last website. "rebuilt convertible top motors". So i check it out and im sooooooooo glad i did. There is a guy that rebuilds them in his spare time. I sent him a request and he immediately responded with his phone number....so i give him a call. Turns out he has three sets of them in his stock..being that they are the same motors that Cavilers, Lebarons, and SAAB's use. So i ask him how much its going to cost including shipping....he tell's me 110 dollars!!!!!!! I damn near fell out. thats saving me 550 dollars even if i got the cheapers ones elsewhere! SO i most certainly jumped on it. All ihave to do is send my old ones back to him so he can rebuild them as sell them again. He shipped them out today and i should have them by saturday. So if you know of anyone that needs new top motors let me know...i got the hook up!!! And for you gearheads out there...yes i did draw blood removing them! its easy. It is deep fried. All ya do is get pancake mix. Make it "slightly" thicker than you would for making pancakes. Heat the oil up, dip the oreo i the pancak mix and deep fry it till its golden brown! Dont be like me though..wait for the damn things to cool down before ya go biting into them! ok..the night starts out with my roommate getting his tas stimulus check in satuday afternoon. He tells me that he wants to go to a strip club as he has not been to one in Jacksonville since he has been here. So we go to what i think is the best one in town. So we are there having a good time. He goes back to get a vip dance as im sitting down talking to one o the dancers. She goes and gets ready to go on stage. As she is getting up two guys get up from the main stage...one of which was stumbling pretty bad. I chuckle as i have been in the same situation myself a few times...so i saw it humorous. Obviously they did not. So like an hour goes by..my boy is at the main stage and im still talking to the same dancer. Im looking to my left to where she was sitting. I turn my head right to get my drink and bam...the sob sucker punches me and runs outside. OF course i take off after him. I get out the door and catch up to him right as he pulls a knife. I back off a little bit just as 2 of the bouncers dart out the door and tackel him. Im thinking to myself....ok he sucker punches me...runs outside...then wants to pull a knife. Seems cowadly to me. Well..the club owner comes out right as a JSO cop pulls up. He is pressing assault with a deadly weapon charges against him. I had to give my statement and my boys also being that he ran out behind me and saw the whole thing transpire. Seems as though going out to have a good times cant be had without dealing with idiots. On a good note the owner is giving up free admission and free drinks tonight :-). The way i see it...if the president veto's this...then he will be slapping every soldier that has served over there weather it be army navy airforce or marine in the face. There have been too many lives lost in this war. I am prior Navy. I did 2 deployments over there...one on a destroyer and the other on a LHD(marine taxi). I was on a ship over there so i wasnt on the front line...and it still sucked. I deff have respect for the army and marines because i know what they go through. We deserve more for college....and as it looks...if the bill passes...we will get that! SO the boys and i go out last ngiht to celebrate my roommate's bf's 21st. I talked to my friend Sara beore we left. Sara is a girl that i met a few weeks ago and we went out. Everything went well. Well she was in the middle of moving. I told her that when she was done to give me a call if she wanted to come out with us. So she did. We all had a few drinks. Out of all 5 of us i was the one that drank the least. She did get very tipsy. I wouldnt say drunk because she was able to walk under her own power...not the greatest...but good enough to not need help. I stopped drinking because the guys i was out with i didnt really have that much trust in...as far as bringing a new girl around that had been drinking. Typically that would make for a bad situation. SO i was making sure no one would try and take advantage of her state at the time. SO we all go back to my place and three of us get in the hot tub. everything was great. Well...we come back inside..my other roommate goes to sleep. Her and i are sitting on the couch. At this point the hot tub actually appeared to elevate the effects of the house because now she was showing actions of being drunk. SHe is a very touchy feely flirty type of girl when she drinks. Her body language was telling me that she was all for it. I...on the other hand...have very strict rules about that when there is alcohol involved. I didnt let anything happen last night...and it paid off. The next morning when she wakes up(she stayed at my house) she said that she dont remember anything after we got home. I told her everything that happened...being that i was the only sober one out of the bunch. She said she was very impresed and that i proved to her that she can trust me. Major brownie points for me. I simply told her that she should be glad she was out with me and not out with a guy that doesnt share my same viewpoints simply becasue it would have been something that she really would have regretted the next morning. She's really a sweetheart and i think she is gorgeous. Yeah..nothing happened last night.....but sometimes it not all about sex. When all else fails do a complete reinstall of the OS. I know its a pain the the ass due to having to remove important data off the machine to return it to it after the OS is reinstalled. Obviously SP3 started the problems..and with computers..if you know them well..sometimes it takes time for things to "happen". I know them rather well..and sometimes i would come across a problem that just refused to want to be fixed. IF you dont know how to reinstall your OS let me know and i can walk you through it. Tell her what i said above should shut her up...unless she is just really that ignorant...in that case just ignore her comments unless it pertains directly to work. I've had a few people at work critisize(sp) me for skydiving. I did to them what i adised you to do and it ended right there and never arose again.
