Actually i already have a rig. I pieced it togeher with the help of a few VERY generous dz.commers....so thats one less thing i have to worry about. I decided that im going to keep the apartment but im not buying any additional furniture...at least until i get to the corporate level when i wont be leaving town at all. yeah really. I could just put the computer on the floor i the bedroom and just have the bed..which due to living the military lifestyle for 7 years..i dont need much to survive anyway. hell..my boy larry who is the new roommate is going to have the life...pretty much an apartment to himslef while still splitting the rent...lol. ya know..i didnt consider selling the furniture. I mean..like i said im barely going to be living there. Its basically a fall back if things go south with the gf..but i really dont see that happening as this relationship is the best one that i have ever been in! hell..if i sell the furniture(except for the bed cuze i love it) ill prolly be able to pay for the 6 coach jumps after im off student status! ok..so im about to move into a new apartment. The furniture i have so far is my bed, entertainment center, and computer desk. Im getting out of the navy August 14th and the new job i start september 1st requires me to me out of town A LOT! Shuold i invest in more furniture...IE living room furniture, dining room furniture, patio stuff etc...or just pay for the rest of my aff jumps and get off AFF by the first weekend of August. When i say ill be out of town alot its more or less ill be coming back to jacksonville on weekends...but ill more than likely be staying at my gf's house. I will have a roommate at the new apartment..but he doesnt have anything but a bed and dresser. So if ya'll were in my shoes what would you do? I had to set my profile to private and set it so that you need to know my last name or email. I got sick of getting requests from them. They are dudes that are paid to advertise their websites. They never do reply. I was literally getting 10-15 requests from them A DAY! I use myspace for what it was intended for...keeping in contact with friends and family. Fuck all the other BS! Yes it was positive. The doc didnt believe me when i walked into medical becasue i didnt have any of the symptoms but the sore and swollen throat. But he gave me the throat culture anyway and it did in fact come back positive. I dont have ANY of the symptoms anymore. I started taking the antibiotics tuesday and by thursday everything was gone but then i noticed when i was drinking a large glass of water while taking the medication that the back part of my tongue...the part that goes down into the throat...started getting a burning sensation. If i drink slow im fine..but otherwise i get that very uncomfortable feeling. I do plan on jumping aff again next saturday..and i havent jumped since february 4th...so im really itching to get off student status...and im hoping this doenst prevent me from doing so because i plan on being off student status by the first weekend in August! I did get a new toothbrush..so i know it cant be that. That was one of the first things the doc told me. For those of you who have had it before....after starting the antibiotics....after the symptoms have gone away...did it burn your tongue when you tried to gulp liquids? It doesnt matter what kind of liquid..it does it with water, gatorade, soda, milk...everything. Is it normal..like a side effect or something? I did a search and didnt come up with anything. Do you think a paragliding slalom would be a good addition to the winter olympic games? I mean....its not like its an easy think to do..and you do need exceptional canopy piloting skills to do it. I think it would be a good addition considering skydiving and CReW are already done around the world anyway! Nope. The doc told me either on a completely empty stomach or 2-3 hours after eating...and the paper i got with the perscription also states the same thing. It goes right into the bloodstream faster if there isnt food digesting in the stomach. ok..im posting in this thread again because something srtange is going on. I started taking the antibiotics at 11 this morning and its now 7:32pm..and for the last 4 hours it seems as though my salvatory system just went into overload. Ive only taken 2 of the penicilin pills...on a completely empty stomach....does it really work that fast? I can swallow easier and all the mucas is coming up which is a good thing too. THe doctor didnt say anything about the salivating glands working overtime like they are. Finally restarting aff. next weekend im doinf 3 again for currency, and 4 and 5 if he weather cooperates...then 6 and 7 the first weeknd of july. Nothing is stopping me this time!!!! Thats the amazing thing....i never had strep before...so i jsut thought it was a sore throat..so i kissed her a lot over the weekend and she is fine..but i have it....UGH! ANd yes im going to medical tomorrow mornign at 0650 to get what i need to get rid of it! Ive never had it before...that i can remember anyway. I thought it was a simple sore throat...but this has been going on for 5 days now. After doing some research i come to discover that i have 8 of the 10 symptoms of strep throat. I guess im making up for rarey ever getting sick as a child. I was trying to not go to medical at all while stationed at this command..but im going there tomorrow. Not bad...1 sick call visit in 21 months stationed at one command...and my counter is down to 26 days left till taps and check out. Luckily it happened now and not after i get out! These are the symptoms...the bold ones are what im experiencing red and white patches in the throat difficulty swallowing tender or swollen glands (lymph nodes) in the neck red and enlarged tonsils headache lower stomach pain, cept mine is back pain fever, gf thought i was going to go into shock general discomfort, uneasiness, or ill feeling loss of appetite and nausea rash "Age has absolutely nothing to do with knowledge, learning, respect, attitude, or personality." -yardhippie "Fight the air, and the air will kick your ass!!! I will do that..as i always check with instructors before a jump if i have any questions. There are a few people on here that i trust taking advice from though. Mykel, you know i value your opinion and im not trying to argue...all i was saying was that arching as hard as i do is natural for me and it make me more comfortable. Im afraid that de arching will throw me in a bad tumle or spin. because when i am really relaxed my body naturally arches...i dont really have to force it into an arch. My DZO who was my main instructor for level three wrote in my logbook to relax my arch while in freefall to slow my decent rate. Im afraid if i do that i will start potato chipping and go into a constant turn because it doesnt feel natural to me. I know i need to slow my fall rate down or else ill never be able to do RW...or if i do it will have to always be the same people...and if they arent around...ill have tojust jump solo....which is what im trying to avoid. Thanks for the replies guys. I just wanted to know if i would get laughed at or not. I would like to wear it....and i would have a problem with taping them up..but mine is just so much more comfortable than the only one that fits me at the dz...divnswoop..im talking about the purple on with the ass part torn out of it..im sure you saw a bigger student wearing it when you were out there. I will ask if i can..but obviously i wont be getting my hopes up. The only dumb question is the one that is not asked...at least thats what i was taught anyway
