  1. As this is clearly becomming the foreign policy of the US, are we not to believe that other countries won't adopt it as well? How long will it be before N. Korea pre-emptively attacks the US because the best defense is a good offense and they know we have WMDs and invade other countries unprovoked? Answer to the question: No.
  2. She's our admin. She's also a farter - silent and deadly - and often. When I go to the fax or the copier, which is in her work area, I sometimes walk right into the horror. I sent that picture to my co-workers and they rolled.
  3. If you knew the story behind this, you would be laughing your ass off.
  4. Its done and its great.
  5. Couldnt upload - too big.
  6. I want to put someone's face on the unibomber sketch. I have both pictures, but I'm clueless. Anyone want to help?

    Tax question

Not really, but there are possibilities in this area. Yes. NO. Possibly, but doubtful unless you live in a state that does not have a state income tax. Chris - Go to irs.gov and look at the schedule A for the form 1040. This will give you an idea of what may be out there for you and what the limitations are. edited to add this: http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc500.html
  8. But I would trust a credit card company to sign them up at a rate that should be a criminal offense.
  9. I find this extremely hard to believe. Why? - I've never seen anyone with credit so bad as to not qualify for -some- type of credit card. That includes people who have just gone through bankruptcy. Apparently, credit card companies get in line to get you one of their cards if you are unlikely to pay it off in a reasonable time.
  10. I find this extremely hard to believe.
  11. So, I am assuming that you were in favour of postponing or changing locations of the NRA meeting after the shootings in Columbine? I think that lists pretty high on my list of rude assholes. Been watching Moore's crap again, hmm? 1. Meeting was in Denver, not Columbine and had been scheduled years in advance. 2. All activities (normally seminars, workshops, etc.) except the general membership meeting were cancelled. Under NY law they are required to have an annual meeting. 3. Columbine happened 11 days before the meeting. NY law states that they would have to notify members at least 10 days before a change of venue. 1. Columbine is the name of a school, not a city 2. At least they made a gesture. 3. Exceptions can always be made for extraordinary circumstances. Just depends on whether you _want_ to make them.
  12. I don't have any buddies, and I love to fight. RIIIIIIIGHT!
  13. Yawn. This is the internet version of the guy that is about to get his ass handed to him in a bar when his buddies intervene and remove him from the premesis. The inevitable response is "lucky for that guy you stepped in cuz I was about to kick his ass". RIIIIIIIGHT!
  14. How much? You don't think you could get released on your own recog? I think the criminal case would be the least of your worries if you handed out an ass whipping (no matter how well deserved). I think you should *accidentally* start a small fire near them and let the local FD put it and them out.
  15. you get it - voters are fickle and don't understand facts, just emotional and political appeal. 1 - If Jeb would be a good president, it won't happen because of crappy reasons 2 - If Jeb wouldn't be a good president, still won't happen, but for the wrong reasons either is a shame. On the other hand, you see posts about Jeb Bush being used to bash GWB, which I assume was the original intent of the post. I think his dad is one of the most under-rated presidents in history and his brother, in time, will be remembered as one of the worst. He may be a good candidate for president in the future. His approval ratings in FL are very good and he has proven that he is capable of handling emergencies (hurricanes - much better outcome than LA). On the other hand, he has shown that he will readily bring the government not only to your doorstep, but right into your home. Unless that stance softens, I could never vote for him regardless of what his last name is. Just my opinion of him based on pretty limited knowledge.
  16. In a perfect world, that would be true, however, B2 has an approval rating that is nearing the 20s. He is taking his rightful place alongside Nixon and Carter in terms of approval. B3 will undoubtedly be forced to comment on his brother's presidency. If he says his bro was a great president, it could hurt him. If he throws out a bunch of poli-speak crap, it could hurt him. If he says his bro screwed the pooch, it could hurt him. I think he will have to be a better politician than person to get to the office, which would be a bad thing. On the other side of that coin - drug addicted Kennedys seem to get the same kind of free pass.
  17. So your entire theory on macroeconomics is: tax cuts = economic expansion tax increases = economic recession All this time I thought the equation was: 1. Steal underpants 2. ? 3. Profit
  18. What if you are a member of the United Congregation of Loud Noises and want to shout your love of Jesus so loud he can hear you? There are places to pray. They are called churches, homes, anywhere you feel the need. The huge difference in this case is you are forcing people to recognize and respect YOUR religious beliefs in a setting where practicing religion has no place at all.
  19. Brought to you by the same people who are calling creationism ID and trying to get that into public schools no doubt. It is a bs way to get prayer in school.
  20. If you're an oil company executive, it most certainly is. You have about 2 years left to rake in as much profit as possible. After that, who knows. Senators earlier this week have brought up the possibility of imposing a tax on profits for the oil companies because their constituents are calling and emailing like crazy demanding they do something about gas prices. This is a problem. Solution: the prez heads them off at the pass. He eases environmental restrictions, some governmental oversight and stops fuel deposits for the summer. Result: Increase in the supply of cheaper gas while protecting the profits for the companies. Constituents quit bothering the senators and the president has saved the day. Helps: Everyone buying gas. Hurts: Environment. Not to mention, this is an application of a bandaid where there should be a tourniquette. At least the oil companies are getting the good political solutions they have paid for.
  21. I highly doubt that a divorce every 10 years is free or a perk, but that's probably just me.
  22. I thought you needed the money because you trade in your old wife for a new one still in her twenties every ten years or so.
  23. Here in Colorado and surrounding states, the mountain snow pack was 150% this year and last. So agreed -- I look out the window and see more snow than before. According to me then, we must be heading into a rather severe ice age. Lots of snow in the mountians for sure. I don't know where you live, but there were near record high temperatures yesterday and today in Denver. I have a friend in Durango that said the snow levels were way down in that part of the state.
  24. I think a lot of the footage will be used in developing video games.
