I've seen several cutaways( and done one) from around a 1000. All were successful. You must pull your reserve in a timely fashion. I don't agree with people who trade altitude (they may not have) for stability. I use skyhooks on my rigs and at that alt. who cares about stability!!! I just want something good over my head and fast Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

In a FJC they teach students to decide where to land by 2500 ft. They also tell students to decide if they are going to land with the parachute that is over their head or cutaway at that alt. If a student has a problem below 1000 ft they are to just pull their reserve with out cutting away. With that said!!! If you are at 1000 ft with a mal over your head you are not falling as fast as with nothing over your head. That means you do have more time before the ground. Reserves open faster than mains. I would cutaway at a 1000 ft with a spinning canopy!! Everyone is different and I would want to get rid of the bad canopy if I could!!! Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

I paid 600 used and with a extended life batter. Also everything else that came with it. It was and is still in get shape... Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

Why is that? I thought it was designed to open only at a curtain speed and at a certain altitude. Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

Removing the Slider for Ground Lanching

No cutaways on ground launching!!! But still can have a MAL Never give the gates up and always trust your rears! -
so what you are saying is that you have to put it back in a bag or rubber band it after you deploy? Just wondering if that's what you meant If so that's a pain in the ass!! Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

That lens looks like it sticks out at least two inches past the box. IF so THAT does defeat the purpose of getting that helmet. I have the FF2 and love it. Have over 500 jumps on it and its great. Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

yea i know but that's not where he jumps. At least according to his profile. 1400 is more realistic across the nation in price per hour for free fall Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

sky hook in action http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=6847&string=marko This was low and dirty around 20 second reserve ride PS was not me I just thought it is a good video on a sky hook and how fast they are Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

Where do you jump that it cost $19 a jump? I divided $1130 by 60 and thats what it comes out too. In most freefly jumps its less then 60 sec on a jump. At least for me it is and I'm waving off at 3500 and getting out at 13500 With that you also get canopy skills . You wont get that in a wind tunnel The nearest tunnel around here is 800 per hour. The benefit to a tunnel is that you are in there for more then one minute at a time and the learning curve is much faster that way Ill take skydiving over the tunnel any day :) Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

Copyrighted Music – Staying Ethical, Honest and Legal
ozzy13 replied to AFFI's topic in Photography and Video
That's just silly. I can see how that is but just silly!! What DSE said is the problem. The laws take longer to right then the times are moving. With all the technology out there how could they keep up. I have learned a lot reading all this and had No clue before reading it :) Never give the gates up and always trust your rears! -
I've heard (only heard, no direct knowledge of it) that it has something to do with what they pay staff. Seems likely since the only other options to provide such cheap jumps would be to steal the gas or operate at a loss. Anybody know how they can keep the prices so low? I've heard (only heard, no direct knowledge of it) that they own all there planes and everything else at the DZ. Thus less bills. Means more profit thus lower jump tickets. What ever the reason its awesome that its at that price!!!! Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

That's a first for me. I never heard of anyone teaching to un-stowe toggles in a line twist. Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

Difference between AFF programs?
ozzy13 replied to npgraphicdesign's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
There are some differences in Drop zones programs. The A,b,c system is out of the SIMS (Skydivers Information Manual) The levels are the same for the most part as far as the goals in the skydive. The different systems are depending on what progression you want to do. Most DZ's have you do Tandems first (Not all) You can do AFF or AFP The difference is whether you have one instructor or two on the first couple levels. You should have no problem going to two different DZ's during your levels. I hope that helped. I am sure there are some other people on here that could give some more input about this subject Never give the gates up and always trust your rears! -
Dude I am taking it easy was just giving you info on what you were talking about :) Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

In the USPA October issue it stated that Travis Had his USPA membership revoked. Its on page 18 That has nothing to do with what is being talked about here. A IE had his ratings pulled and inquiring minds what to know why? Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

Copyrighted Music – Staying Ethical, Honest and Legal
ozzy13 replied to AFFI's topic in Photography and Video
I hope this doesn't sound stupid!!! that was my first line . With that said. My statement was and is I'm NOT selling anything. That's why I don't see the big deal about it. I'm not Van Helen selling albums using other peoples pictures. I'm not Starbucks advertising with other peoples music. I'm just a guy that likes to video my skydives and put music too it that I paid for . Then post it too let people see for FREE. I don't see a problem with that if I give the Artist credit for their music Never give the gates up and always trust your rears! -
get your coach rating. That's the first step with ratings Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

I hope this doesn't sound stupid but if I pay for a cd and I make a video and use the music off the cd and give credit to the artist for the music part. How can I get in trouble? I paid for the music, so its mine to do with what want to do with. I'm not taking credit for writing the song but I paid for it. I know some lawyer out there can get money out of me i am sure .I just don't see the big deal its not like I am reselling it Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!
