  7. This is what a AFF instructor can do and what requirements you need to become one this is the link from where the info came from http://www.uspa.org/Portals/0/Downloads/Man_IRMEssentials_2008.pdf WHAT IS A USPA ACCELERATED FREEFALL (AFF) INSTRUCTOR? 1. The USPA Instructor is the one of three instructional ratings USPA administers, preceded by USPA Coach and followed by Instructor Examiner. 2. A USPA AFF Instructor may— a. exercise all privileges of the USPA Coach rating b. conduct AFF-type jumps, the AFF first-jump course, and transition training to AFF c. conduct training in the general portions of any first-jump course d. train and supervise jumps with non-methodspecific students e. conduct the A-license oral quiz and check dive f. verify certain USPA license applications, according to the requirements in SIM Section 3 g. supervise a USPA Coach in training students and making recurrency jumps with licensed skydivers 3. Supervision (BSRs) a. All student training is conducted under the direction and oversight of an appropriately rated USPA Instructor (refer to the BSRs). b. All general, non-method-specific student training and jump supervision may be conducted by any USPA Instructor, but method-specific training and jumps (AFF, IAD, static-line, and tandem) require a USPA Instructor who holds that method-specific rating. This is what you need to become one 4. Candidates may earn the USPA AFF Instructor rating who have met all the following requirements: a. reached the age of 18 years b. holds or has held any USPA instructional rating c. earned a USPA C license or the FAI equivalent d. logged six hours of freefall time e. completed the USPA AFF Instructor Proficiency Card (applicable portions) f. successfully proven ability by successfully completing the written and practical AFF evaluation process with a USPA AFF Instructor Rating Course Director Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

  10. You are right. Using a PC will always take longer than an analog board, unless you are willing to give your customer a video that you haven't seen yourself in real time. Yes you can make a better product with a computer. . , it's like trying to explain Playboy to a monk. . I guess I am a monk BUT I do like playboy Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

  16. I am curious why one would want both an RSL and a Skyhook. I thought those two were essentially the same thing. I understand the RSL pulls the reservere pin and a Skyhook pulls the pin and extracts the reserve pc. Skyhook connects like a RSL to the riser. So in that way they are the same thing. Here is a link on how the skyhook works Dont know how to make the clicky thing sorry http://www.uptvector.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=85&Itemid=70 Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!
  17. Again skyhooks and AAD's have nothing to do with each other in that aspect . If you are knockout your AAD will fire and your reseve opens thats it Please talk to your instructors about this Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!
  18. The suggestions you have receive are the ones that Im looking at. The crossfire likes to be loaded at 1.7 or higher. I have not jumped the katana yet but that's my next step I don't know ya so all I can say is be careful you jump numbers are low for your wing loading. Just my opinion Good luck Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!

  21. I'm not sure about this 100% I don't have the rating (as a TI) I was told it was a manufacture requirement that a videographer has to have 500 jump minimum to jump with a Tandem. Their rating could get pulled if something were to happen. Again not a 100% sure. Someone please correct me if im wrong besides what was say above is also a factor in the equation. Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!
  22. Asking people on the internet questions!!!! well on the other forums I talk on I usually flame the newbies, so I'm expected lots of sarcastic remarks, but I'm hoping for SOME actual answers as well It was not really a bust ball statement. Well maybe a little. The best thing you can do is talk to the instructors that know you personally. Their the ones that can help you best Never give the gates up and always trust your rears!
