LOL--Naahhhh, you can do better than THAT, too! Holy cow--she has a lot of . . . self confidence (yeah, that's the phrase I'm looking for), doesn't she? I'll shut up. I'm sure the dz.com men can give you much better feedback! TPM Sister #102 -

Spanish major, minor in business, masters in international management, and JD. (It's NOTHING, compared to your long list!) Too much education and not enough sense to think skydiving sounds too dangerous too be fun. TPM Sister #102

Cool! I'm sorry that it's not all healing the right way and it's certainly not fast enough, but at least you're going in the right direction! How does it feel to have that cast off? TPM Sister #102

Question for AFF instructors relating to jumpsuits.

It's one of the universal answers, I suppose, but what about practicing the de-arching process in the tunnel? TPM Sister #102 -
lost skydive gear can you help?
Jewels replied to taffclarke's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I've done it, too, although I told the screeners that I had it and handed it over to them before trying to get through security. All they wanted to know was whether I was a diver. I have to agree, though--time to buy a new belt. With that much travel, it could be ANYWHERE. Worst case scenario, she ends up with two. TPM Sister #102 -
Oh, good luck, good luck, good luck! How FUN! I can't wait for a happy update on Monday. TPM Sister #102

Yeah, I tend to think it's a very left-brained sport. Excellent! TPM Sister #102

You're a hero. Do you come with your own cape? I hope you two connect in time and she gets there. It's a privilege to be able to say an in-person goodbye. TPM Sister #102

That's a priceless phone call. I know you'll treasure it. All my best to you and your family right now! TPM Sister #102

A burst eardrum deserves a doctor's answer to your question. IF the doctor gives her the go-ahead, she might also ask about taking Sudafed before jumping. I had ear infections in both ears not long ago and the doctor told me to take Sudafed to help with the change in pressure because it opens those passageways right up. (Note the use of the technical medical term "those passageways!" Yet another reason to have her consult a doctor--get someone who knows what they are doing and saying.) I don't know if the same "passageways" might be involved with a burst eardrum and my lowly ear infections, but anything that might help with the change in pressure sounds like a good idea in general to me! All I know is that I could skip the rest of that stuff if they would just give the Inositol to me straight. Sounds like the stuff of wonders!

I hope mama was somewhere nearby. Just because I don't want them chewing on my house doesn't mean I want them to be orphans, either. TPM Sister #102

Adorable! They look all sweet and innocent when mugging for the camera, don't they? You really *don't* want to take them home with you, though. I once had some who used my rooftop and a thoroughfare, and they ended up chewing the siding on the house--AND some electrical wiring. (Just as a side note, this is not covered by insurance . . . in case you were wondering. ) TPM Sister #102

What a beautiful post! I know our nation is not the most popular in the international community right now and it's not about whether I agree or disagree with prevailing politics. Matters can always be improved. My country has given me opportunity and I have been blessed. We have faithful and unwaivering members of the armed forces who serve us diligently and for that I thank them most sincerely. For all her faults, the USA is wonderful country and I don't take it, or those who serve her, lightly. TPM Sister #102

A washing machine is a bad idea almost ANY time (unless she wants something specific and it's *her* idea in the first place--like the pots and pans thing). If he's spending that kind of money on platinum washing machines, though, he doesn't have much good sense, either!

Hi All - My Girlfriend just did a Skydive for Charity

Good for her! Tell your girlfriend that this is fabulous--and congratulations! TPM Sister #102 -

Unbelievable. It's like online road rage and it's not okay. It's not an excuse to say and do anything because it's the internet and it's "funny." The comments have been personal, mean-spirited, and most of all, a good number of them were NOT sent because the posters thought they were really being humorous, except maybe in the sense of finding it at someone else's expense. We shouldn't need a mod to step in and send everyone to their own corners. This *has* gone on for days and it's now time for everyone to take responsibility for their own posts and let it end here. "Appliances" keep coming up on the list. BAD idea. There is nothing romantic about a vacuum cleaner. "Electronics"--now that would hold possibilities. But I might hurt the guy who showed up with a washing machine. TPM Sister #102

I already liked the Rangers but it's going to be really fun to watch them next year. Oh--and it's good to see that Colorado is doing SOMETHING to stop the bleeding. Sheesh. TPM Sister #102
