THANK YOU!!! No one has ever before tried to get as much mileage out of a Level 1 jump but MAN that was a lot of work to get me to do it!
-
I have neighbors across the street who live out of their garage year-round (which is saying something in the Colorado winter). They do it because they are smokers and they go out there to smoke instead of doing it inside the house. That must be some strong addiction, because it sure wouldn't be worth it to me!

I don't know if that's such a good idea. When they start getting hot, they'll open the door and dangle their feet outside in the breeze. That's okay if they have their rigs, but it tends to disgruntle the whuffos. And what happens when someone's stuff starts coming out of their carry-ons? These people might mistake it for an open pilot chute and start chucking things out the door. TPM Sister #102

Nice one! Have fun and watch out for all those unruly passengers from dz.com! TPM Sister #102

so did they release you on AFF1

THANKS! I told them that I planned to milk as much pleasure out of my Level 1 as possible and I think I'm doing that. I have had a ridiculous grin all afternoon. TPM Sister #102

You are ALL so sweet! Thank you!

That was fast! I was trying to watch it online but it wasn't working very well. TPM Sister #102

Kirk put the figure out there, in this thread. (See previous page.) TPM Sister #102

shhhhhhhhh no one is supposed to know. Remember nothing happens at The Farm. Hey you can use the game as your spring break. It should sort of be warm by then, warm to you at least So, why do you think I want to go to The Farm??? Yeah, "spring break"--I wish I still had those! Warm sounds really good, too. You might even be starting to get some spring flowers by then! I definitely might have to see about making this happen. But, to stay on topic, I know skydivers are flawed, too, and I don't pretend otherwise. It's really nice when you find some good ones, though. I'm glad they're out there and I'm glad some of them are speaking up in this thread (and not just because I want to get down to the Farm). It's good to promulgate more of what angrypeppers is seeing. Watch out, yes. But I'm glad it's out there! TPM Sister #102

HOLY SMOKES--a GENTLEMAN?! On dz.com???! (Just kidding. I think there are a lot of them. Some are just still in the closet.) Actually, I think the Avs/Thrashers play on or about March 11th and I have a friend with tickets, so I just might shoot down there for a game. AND, if I get my act together (big "IF") and have an A license by then, there could by skydiving involved. . . . I've heard nothing but good about The Farm! Woohooo! (More friendly skydivers running amuck online.)

I know what you're saying! It's a great community. Imperfect, yes, but great!

I saw a launch once and it was amazing. You could feel the sound before you could hear it. We had to get up in the middle of the night because it was a 6:00 a.m. launch, but it was worth every minute of lost sleep. TPM Sister #102

I already see enough of your mugs. Good thing they're cute ones! Well most of 'em, anyway. Phil, I'm glad you just wanted to talk numbers. I was serious about it when I said that I think everyone should love their home tunnel and I definitely didn't read your post as a pure question about specs, so I'm sorry for my misinterpretation. Hooknswoop and (heaven help us) Chipotle can give you all those details so I'll bow out and let those who know talk numbers and things that I don't get and can't follow. I do well just to know what wind speed I want to fly at. TPM Sister #102

ROFL! You kill me! I think I wanna see some Airkix photos so I can make this decision for myself. TPM Sister #102

Which sitcom theme song from the 70's did you like best?
Jewels replied to BillyVance's topic in The Bonfire
The Love Boat . . . but that might have been in the 80s. TPM Sister #102 -
I'm just not a huge peanut butter fan to begin with, so it's a harder sell where I'm concerned. I love vanilla cake with lemon filling, though. Or strawberry. Or raspberry. Or . . . yep, pretty much anything.

I'm sure the women of dz.com will be glad to know how you see this. Nice stereotyping. Perhaps you have something meaningful to add to the original thread that doesn't involve this little detour. TPM Sister #102

You know you're welcome here any time! And Phil, so are you and your girlfriend. I figure if we really want to get into a shouting match about the specs, we can just ask Kirk about his and the rest of us can proceed to shut up. The better plan is to fly together and have a good time. TPM Sister #102

Thanks, Paige! (That's a much less biased way of getting where I meant to be going!

Hi, Phil! I've gotta say, I had a bit of trouble with your post and so in fairness, I'll admit that maybe I read your post more defensively than I would have if my home tunnel happened to be elsewhere. Still, here goes. I have no idea how our specs compare to Airkix, but no matter how they match up, I think that the claims about "our tunnel is the best" usually come out of more than just bragging rights about the technology and the hard numbers. I hope *everyone* feels that their tunnel is the best. It sounds like you feel that way about Airkix and I'm glad you have a tunnel you enjoy enough to defend. I have to say, though, that your post comes across more as a "you take that back" challenge than it does as a real interest in the specs. I hope you didn't mean it that way. In any event, I'm truly sorry if your girlfriend was offended while she was here. I can't imagine that anyone intended that result, even if they were talking about how great SVCO is. Obviously, I didn't hear the exchange so I can't defend the speaker but I really hope the two of you can take it in stride. SVCO *is* a great tunnel. We have great air and great instructors. It doesn't mean that Airkix can't be fantastic, too. TPM Sister #102

Poor Lora!! As to the OP, I agree that posting something in Bonfire probably isn't the way to motivate someone who is already avoiding you. I'm very sorry that you've gone out of your way to help someone who now is making themselves completely unavailable, but venting your frustration internationally probably isn't going to help your cause. At some point, you need to just write off the debt and let it go, even if you're not the person at fault. I hope this person decides on their own that they need to take care of their debts, but it's probably best to keep it a private affair whether they come to that decision or not. Good luck! Congratulations!! That's great! You must feel so good tonight!

Celery. Other people can taste it, I guess, but I don't get much of a flavor from it, personally. TPM Sister #102
