The Starbucks issue is the real problem. (Call me if you need help getting to your car . . . or just to Starbucks!) TPM Sister #102

NICE PICS! Not bad work with the rehab gym, but being home will be better. My advice: Do nothing today unless it is fun, involves eating a lot of food, or requires someone else to lavish you with gifts! Glad you made it home. TPM Sister #102

Nah - not trying to rub it in. Weather is actually piss today in Atlanta. Just looking for any plane making a trip from Denver to Atlanta to get my brother on! Might have better luck with renting a car and just driving. The main roads were great this morning, but as of last night, Frontier was refusing to book ANYTHING. Your brother either needs to be there and first in line for stand-by status (iffy at best), or he should consider making it a road trip. Denver to Atlanta takes about 24 hours. TPM Sister #102

Now that I have given up agonizing over getting anywhere (like, oh say, the office), it's just beautiful! It's not supposed to stop until about noon and the flakes just keep coming. NICE! TPM Sister #102

I would start seeing if there are other options. My brother was skiing in Breckenridge and supposed to fly out of Denver today. Yesterday they told him that his chances of getting out prior to Christmas Eve were pretty slim. That seems a bit extreme to me, but that's what Frontier told him and United (I think) told his girlfriend. If I were them, I'd check out my options in Salt Lake City. Things are going nowhere fast here. I have one friend trying to drive to get home from Eloy because he got pulled off his airplane when all the flights were cancelled. The problem is that he can only get so far because I-25 is closed, too. I have another friend coming up from Colorado Springs for a 7:25 a.m. flight tomorrow morning. I was supposed to drive her to the airport but right now I'm not sure that I'll even be able to get out of the subdivision by then to go meet her. That's all operating on the grand assumption that her flight will still actually be departing at 7:25. . . . TPM Sister #102

I'll give you that! I love having snow days. I just grouse when work gets in the way. But for all of that, I have managed to be quite comfy on the sofa this afternoon. TPM Sister #102

Well, that's at least encouraging. Less to run into. TPM Sister #102

I should say so. If they can't figure out that today is a day to send people home, they are more clueless than I thought. They shouldn't risk letting their employees get out/get stuck in this. Says a lot about the corporate mentality. They just said that I-25 is now shut down statewide. TPM Sister #102

Why am I not surprised to hear that?! What, exactly, were they thinking??? TPM Sister #102

You're so good! You're gonna be tired tomorrow, though! We even "closed" the firm at noon, although I don't know if it really counts as "closed" when you're supposed to work from home. Wonder Man is stuck in Phoenix, but he's renting a car and trying to see how close he can get to home. Given that I-25 is closed to NM, I don't think it's looking good. TPM Sister #102

  15. If anyone in Atlanta is interested in Corteo, I just got an email saying that they have added nine additional performances from January 24 to January 28. Apparently, there are also some discounted tickets for a few performances. Tickets go on sale to the general public on 12/17. If you want more info., send me a PM and I can forward the email I just received. TPM Sister #102
  16. what has that got to do with the joke Just noticing a problem with the plan. I'm not objecting . . . just wondering!

I love those!! Talk about the good life. So, there's obviously no rule about "not on the furniture" in YOUR house! (There's not in my house, either.) TPM Sister #102
  19. What's the purpose of the test? Depends upon what I would stand to gain from subjecting myself to the cost and the risk. TPM Sister #102
  20. I just bought tickets for Corteo and it doesn't even get to Denver until this summer. You'll have to let me know if it's worth the small fortune I just spent. TPM Sister #102
  21. I LOVED my Sony. It died (after much use--it was entitled), and our IT guy isn't a Sony fan so I ended up with an HP. *Sigh.* It's . . . fine. I still miss my Sony. TPM Sister #102
  22. Scintillating! It's not an impressive word, but it's so full of promise and enticement--who can resist?! TPM Sister #102
  23. Do they have one for mother in laws, too? Ooooo--you're SO bad! Santa knows this stuff, you know. LouDiamond may have the right idea. I don't know the name of the gizmo (technical term) that my friend was talking about, but this sounds like the right idea. The one they bought worked wonders, within just a couple of days. TPM Sister #102
  24. Well, it doesn't resolve ANYTHING if there is neglect involved, but a friend was telling me today about some sort of ultrasonic unit that she had purchased from PetSmart. It sounds like it operates on the same basic premise as the bark collar, but you just place it outside. Worked wonders for them with THEIR problem-dog-next-door. PetSmart might be able to tell you what product that is. TPM Sister #102
  25. How does that work, anyway? In a wedding, I know you're supposed to wear certain colors depending upon the time of day, and that black is supposed to be for after 6:00--but that's a wedding. What's the rule of thumb for other occasions? Is there one? TPM Sister #102
