  1. Haha, but of course, what other use are they? The transitions are getting better...I'm not dropping quite as far away when I go from belly to sit...and heres another from today... Edit to add: Thats Pike's Peak in the background...wish I had a digital still to get better pics of these... Miami
  2. Gus, I would lean torward the Xaos, but a 27 instead of a 21. The 27 and VX have a lot of similer flight characteristics but the 27 has much better openings, the front riser pressure is much more tolerable, and the rear risers give you just the right amount of pressure. I say the 27 instead of the 21 because the 27 has a noticable bit more lift over the 21 and the openings are still fine (I regularly jump tandem video with mine)...although the 21's that I had were hands down the best opening canopies I ever had. If you are looking at the 7 cell platforms I would suggest the 21. The Velo's I have jumped all seemed to fly rough, never really a smooth flight, and the FX's are very similer to the VX...very heavy front riser pressure and the occasional spank on opening. The 21's I've had opened amazing, flew smooth, and landed great! But, this is just my opinion, you will most likely get many more, but I hope this helps... Miami
  3. Fly under the formation so it funnels back down to you... Wait, no...stay close to the formation and keep it in sight until assigned breakoff altitude and track away as planned. Yea, thats it. Hope this helps... Miami
  4. Hmm, could the circumstances be just a wee bit different in your situation? Just a thought... Miami
  5. Here is another from about an hour ago...damn this stuff is fun!
  6. Haha...yep, we were all there once! The passenger is a cadet, TI is a staff member. And Spizark...do be jealous, just like I taught you to swoop I can teach you to sit. Miami
  7. I had always been wanting to get into sitting with tandems but didn't want to risk trying it with a paying customer and screw it up... Got some great instruction from JP and Christy in the Perris tunnel and here is the result (My normal lens blew up on the previous jump so I threw my .3 on for this one so it's pretty wide and vinettes a bit...gotta touch the zoom in a bit). Thanks guys! Miami

Garden of the Gods Pikes peak (cog railway or drive) Mile Hi Skydiving Center (6 or 7 days a week) 6 flags in Denver Cripple Creek Thats all I can think of...hope this helps... Miami
  9. I've bought 4 rigs from them and never had a problem. I guess when you say batteries you mean cypres batteries? How much did they charge you? And why are they now calling you 2 years later trying to collect? Who was it who called you yesterday? Very odd... Miami
  10. The stroboframe 300-qrc is your best bet. $95 for two pieces of machined aluminum seems like an excessive poke in the ass to me. The 300-qrc can be found on ebay (here) for less than half that. Hope this helps... Miami
  11. I take it you are looking for used gear? The length of your torso plays a huge part in how the container fits...I am 6'4" but I have a 38" inseam, so my torso is a little more normal. I have jumped a lot of different gear and Jumpshack's Racer is the best I have found for fit, comfort, and functionality. Most container manufacturer websites have a list of the size canopies the containers take...it's just a matter of printing out those lists and comparing them to classifieds or listings on your dropzone. They all use a different method for their sizing so there really isn't an easy way consolidate to one list... For fit on used gear just ask the seller what size person the container was made for and that should provide an idea of whether or not it's close to your size. I would definitely recommend that you try anything on before you buy if at all possible. Hope this helps... Miami
  12. Hehe...no kidding. It just makes me sad that we can have such brilliant individuals but then as a society be so dumb. We have such untapped power as a society but are completely unable to harness it. Oh well...let them eat what they will, but I'm not putting that shit in my body. Miami
  13. And thats a big part of the problem...how many people really understand or have a decent amount of common sense about dietary balance and moderation? We have about 9 million people in the US who can't even read, how are they supposed to know that this stuff that looks, smells and tastes good is actually bad for them? Miami
  14. The consumers wallet maybe... If they cared about the consumer they would offer food that is not overly processed and genetically modified, food that is capable of being eaten on a regular basis without causing ill effects to the person who eats it. Miami
  15. It's not just about losing weight...thats why there are such an obscene number of fad diets that don't work in the long run. It is about eating smart and in moderation, coupled with a halfway decent fitness plan, that will allow you to lose weight, keep it off, and maintain a healthy body. People get this tunnel vision on "weight" and don't care about how what they are doing affects their bodies. Miami
  16. Did he happen to mention how often the FDA is allowed inspect the slaughter houses McDonalds gets their meat from? Or the restrictions the FDA has to test the meat for salmonella or E.coli? McDonalds has an absurd number of lawyers and politicians in their pockets... Miami
  17. How long were they using beef tallow (lard) to fry their french fries while they were claiming to use vegetable oil before they got busted? McDonalds is a huge entity that has a very very big influence on who inspects and controls their standards. Bottom line they are out for the almighty dollar and could really give a rats ass about the consumer. Miami
  18. Little pricey but they sell them here(about halfway down the page)...if you are already making them yourself you are probably taking the much more cost effective route. Hope this helps... Miami
  19. Additives, preservatives and fillers. Not to mention the feces that ends up in the meat from poor processing at slaughterhouses. Buy your meat from a respectable grocery (Whole Foods is a good one), one who uses their own slaughterhouse and is not bent on pushing the slaughter line as fast as possible to save a buck, and you will be getting much better meat. You can lose weight on any type of diet...whether it's healthy for your body is a whole other story. Hope this helps... Miami
  20. These helmets do fit great...you just provide the circumference of your head and they fit it to that. You do get what you pay for though...Greenies, if this part is in appropriate I apologize and will edit it out if needed, but I am a dealer for 2K and sell them at my cost (there is an ad in the classifieds also) so the price actually comes to less than comparable set-ups (a lot less than some!). I just really like their product and want to get more of them out there for people to see...I can worry about making money for my efforts later... You can order it through anyone and 2K will ship it direct to you...shipping to the US is 30GBP, I don't imagine it would be more than that to go to SA. If you get in touch with me I can check that for you... There is very little difference weight or strength wise between the two. Really the only reason to get the carbon fibre is if you want the carbon fibre finish (the clear coat over the carbon fibre). If you were going to get it painted any color the glass fibre would be the way to go. Anyway, hope this answers your questions...if you have anything else feel free to email me. Hope this helps... Miami
  21. Aren't they still making the NOS with tuck tab riser covers? Either way though I would say as long as it fits correctly go with the racer. Hope this helps and good luck... Miami

I have about 6-700 tandems...2 of which I had cutaways on. Before the tandems I did some intentional cutaways but those are really nothing like chopping a mal. I've had good packers...and probably landed a couple things I shouldn't have... Hope this helps... Miami

I know what you mean...I went from student opening alt gradually down to pitching at 2k, then as I started jumping smaller canopies it came back up. Now I like to pitch around 3.5k. I thought I would use the one hand method till I had my first sport chop (around #3200, spinning line over on my 27) and I ended up using 2 hands on the cutaway, rolled back over and used one hand on my reserve with my right hand above my head for arm symmetry. It was what just felt natural. 8 rides...are you a crw dog? Miami
  24. Grant is just a rude kinda guy...not to mention that ego...geez Miami
