Well, you're DRIVING to Eloy, right?! Make a ton of Jello shots before you leave, and keep 'em on ice the whole way! I think we just found a volunteer! Be sure to make a couple thousand or more....we had 200 at the Bytch Boogie, with 30-35 people, and they only lasted like 10-15 minutes.. Mike

LOVE at first sight? Sorry man, it doesn't exist. That's called LUST.. You can't LOVE somebody you don't know. You can say you do....you can even fool yourself into believing you do for a short time....but you can't really LOVE somebody at first sight. If you fool yourself into believing in love at first sight, and you two really hit it off....you may fall in love eventually, and convince yourself it was love at first sight.. Mike

The Spectre is an awesome canopy.....but the landings depend highly upon wing loading(more so, IMO, than 9 cell canopies). At 1.5 to 1.8, I have to take much more than "a step or two" in calm winds. I can, however, bring the Sabre2 at the same wing loadings to a dead stop in no wind by stabbing at the end, and popping the canopy up a foot or so. I have not been able to do that with the Spectre. I switched from a Spectre at 1.5 to a Sabre2 at 1.5 with only 2 jumps on the Sabre2. Mike

Nope....not a download at all....you have to order it and pay $32 for it. Just another way for USPA to make money, unfortunately. That's one of the things that drives people away from the coach rating. Mike

But it still sucks to be in a position where you always see the bad in everybody.....yea, some people are definitely more cut out for it than others, but I don't think anybody with half a conscience(I think Clay may have at least HALF ) can do it with no effect on the rest of their life. Mike

Just after I finished watching that game with my copilot(who is born and raised in Norman, OK)....I made the comment that A&M should just dismantle their team and deny ever having played football....and he disagreed.....he said if they did that, the Sooners wouldn't have anybody to stomp that severely...the would probably only win 70-0... Where the hell was she landing there?! That's not the main landing area is it? I haven't been out there in a month or so....but it doesn't look like it to me. I guess I have no idea what the others look like since I've only landed in the main area there, right next to the packing area and deck.. Mike

I don't take my job home with me at all.....but it's a bit different with what you do. You can't help but look at the worst in people. When you deal with the scum of the earth on a daily basis(or even just expect to run into 'em), it kinda turns your outlook on everybody negative. A good friend of mine did a similar job to yours for 10 years, then had to quit because it ruined his marriage, he always saw only the bad in people he didn't know(which ruined his dating life after the marriage ended), and couldn't ever separate himself from his job. Then again, he dealt with the scum nearly every minute of every night. Just don't let it get to you like that. Mike

Jeez.....give 'em some time! The pic has only been there for two days(I saw it when the article was there, but no pic yet...then 30 minutes later the pic was there). They still may immortalize you two for the next Birdbabes of the month.....but if you send 'em pics of you in Pantz with your G strings showing...you will probably stand a better chance.. Mike

ZHills is closer to Tampa than Lake Wales is by about 30 minutes. It's probably an hour and fifteen minutes to Lake Wales from TIA. Lake Wales is usually flying anywhere from 5-10+ loads each weekday, though. They will fly the Cessna 182(wide body, 300hp, 17 minutes to 13,000ft with 4 jumpers) with as few as 2 fun jumpers. The Twotter usually flies with as little as 5 or 6 jumpers. I don't know what they require at ZHills to fly...maybe somebody else can answer that. Mike
